A new trailer has dropped for the upcoming Respawn Star Wars game. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is due to release on 28 April, but what does the trailer tell us?
Everyone is super excited to play the new Star Wars game, especially since the previous instalment was such a great success.
Now, Respawn has dropped a new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor which gives a few nice details for the upcoming game.
The story trailer gave some insight into what has been happening, such as five years has passed since the first game and Cal and his allies are still on the run from the Empire.
Not just that though, there were fresh perspectives on gameplay mechanics, characters, environments, powers, mysterious items, and the epic cinematic set pieces we’ve come to expect.
What do you see in the trailer?
As the release of Jedi: Survivor approaches on 28 April, and you prepare to reunite with Cal Kestis and his comrades, there are a few noteworthy elements from the story trailer that caught the eye.
It seems Cal will be accompanied by some familiar faces, such as ex-Nightsister Merrin and pilot Greez Ditzus, as well as a handful of new allies with Force abilities.
Together, they will embark on a perilous mission deep into the heart of the Empire — the capital-planet Coruscant — in order to salvage what remains of the Jedi Order.
A select few of Cal’s allies will be able to fight alongside him as an AI companion, which is new in the series.
You’ll also be pleased to see that puzzles are back, which will no doubt reward Cal with new armour and lightsabers.
Plus, he has a few options in how he fights — like the various combinations of force abilities, blasters, and of course different stances using his lightsaber skills.
It certainly looks like the gameplay mechanics have been improved, and considering how good they were in the first one, that is a big feat.
The game seems to offer a substantial amount of cinematic action too. The trailer highlighted the grand-scale set-piece events that were highly regarded in the predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, released in 2019.
Thankfully, you won’t have long to wait to play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The game is coming out 28 April on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
