Thanks OP. Changed for the aunt

Excellent deal. Super Hot

Managed to get the 1.5GB deal @ xmas for the same money.

You are better going for iD if your handset supports 4G calling and WiFi calling as it supports both.

Otherwise, I had to switch between my handset 2G only on Asda mobile (EE too) to make voice calls.
It works but the data is very slow.

Just don't cancel your other contract straight away. Been with plusnet for …Just don't cancel your other contract straight away. Been with plusnet for two weeks and can't get any data. I'm on my second son and customer service has been a joke. shame though as call signal is great.

You should also enable data roaming (You won't be charged while in the UK or actually Europe in general). I think this is an issue with Plusnet using sIm cards that at one stage were or are registered as Orange SIM cards and therefore think they are roaming depending on what mask you connect too. (Read that in plusnet forum while back). It's the only thing that will get my mother's phone to work with their data.

EE/Plusnet signal is quite dodgy for us at home and while we get okay 4G signal. Calls will be very hit and miss and people constantly complain about me skipping words and being distorted. Although I can hear them fine so it's quite odd.

I'm on 3.5Gb for £6 so definitely not going to cancel. (Discounted for being a loyal customer, Been with them since April).

I've been with plusnet for ages no problems. Wouldn't say this is a great deal though, I'm currently on the £9 rolling SIM that gets you 4gb data 2000 minutes and 2000 texts. However I pay £6.75 (25% discount). As I said I was going to leave.

Yep, I don't think I've ever had an LG, but I am a big fan of Huawei (even …Yep, I don't think I've ever had an LG, but I am a big fan of Huawei (even though I currently rock a Pixel XL), and hence the recommendation for the Honor V10, pretty much the same spec as the Mate 10 Pro but with the headphone jack and MicroSD card slot for half the price of the Pro.I have considered the LG, but from a personal opinion I prefer buttons on the right side. Like you, gutted that a lot of manufacturers are ditching the HP jack, I had an old Huawei P6, 6mm thin and that had one so apple are talking out their a*se.

Started on Huawei Mate 7 and thought wow. 1 day at airport security, tossed it into the boxes for the x-ray machine and screen got scratched up. Luckily Mate 8 came out literally 2 weeks later and grabbed it - still using it to this day - guess what? No battery slow down/performance and 3 years old.

Huawei are absolutely superb BUT when I saw Mate 9 I thought not enough for me to upgrade and then when 10 came out and they splintered the handset so much and you can see the intentional removal of features - Mate 10 VS Mate 10 Pro. I just thought still not worth upgrading from 8 - got headphone jack, microSD, fingerprint reader, killer battery and decent screen size. Mate 9 & 10 they've split it between 2 handsets for the full set of features which they gave in 8 (last of the great).

Hate all these changing screen sizes, display resolutions they're doing now - From 16:9 to 18:9 and now I've read we're moving again to 19:9 - Mi Mix (well it is a Xiaomi Post!) was 17:9 and that was gorgeous - was perfect in all areas of usage except as a phone - too big!

As for Google with their Pixel - no thank you - hate the fact they started Android and then release an Apple priced handset!

This means you can receive a text from your bank asking you if some transactions are real or fraudulent, but you can't reply. It means you can't text STOP to stop receiving services from a shortcode service, nor can you forward spam messages to the EE spam filter number. No issues that I have noticed on Android 7.0 using build 20170619 however I would strongly advise a factory reset when you upgrade as maybe those with issues didn't do this?

I also can't understand why this deal isn't the hottest on the site at the moment especially as if you do have any issues you deal with Amazon UK direct!? I would have been happy paying £200 for the phone as the incredible battery life alone is worth it but we also get 4gb memory and 64gb disk space included which is a winning combination for me. As for headphones - I can't notice the issue when listening to my music and the included Audio FX does a great job of adding some bass to things so I would give it 10/10 for playing my music on decent headphones too. Will try and find a left right video on YouTube to test now for you...

EDIT: Tested and channels are indeed the wrong way but swapping my headphones around solves this

I have hammered it for nearly 2 hours re downloading several albums of music to my phone over WiFi, browsed the web, listened to music on train into work, read web sites etc and it's used 9% battery which in any other phone would be at least 30%! It also feels snappy enough in general use, although I don't seem to use more than 2GB of the RAM for my usage needs so that might be a factor. Music via my headphone is great once I tweaked the Audio FX app and the finger print sensor also seems good although I agree about the very average camera but this phone is just £99!

Any issues on android 7? I've held off from upgrading just in case........also, just out of interest, are your headphones playing left channel in right & vice versa?

Eventually I tracked it down to having 'high accuracy' enabled under location settings, which I didn't on the original one. Now that I've disabled that, it appears to be going on and on just like the first one. If you don't need the benefits of high accuracy GPS (I have no idea what they are personally - never encountered a problem) then switch it off for really good battery life.

Also, do you know the warranty length for the phone and if is from GB or Oneplus? Thanks in advance!

Doesn't really compare I think - it depends what you want.

This has the Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM which puts it on a par with the Redmi Note 4 4GB, which is usually £130 or more, but that is a phablet with a 5.5 inch screen.
The 3GB RAM Note 4 is the one that comes down as low as £110.

But this is a 5 inch phone.
The 5 inch Xiaomi, the Redmi 4 is much cheaper, often closer to £70, but has 3GB RAM and the slower Snapdragon 425, and a lower res screen - not really comparable.

Also, worth noting that this has no band 20.

Your statotury right is 12 months from date of purchase for a new product.

How long is the UK warranty on this ?

How long is the huawei warranty? Because if you buy this with a credit card, the card issuer assumes any warranty obligations (section 75 of the consumer credit act 1974)

Not voting but just a sobering note here. I'm on the WF Swift 1. When the OS was updated I lost the original phone dialling app which was replaced by WF with Truecaller. I couldn't get used to it, didn't like it, it didn't work for me etc, so I replaced it with one off the playstore. We recently had an emergency where 999 was needed urgently. After SIX attempts I found that the app wouldn't call 999 - simply didn't seem to recognise it. Not sure who's fault all that is but I won't be buying WF again.

Wileyfox is a UK firm who get their phones manufactured in China. Apple get their phones manufactured in China as well so nothing wrong with that. We have the base non plus version in the house and it does a decent job and still works well after a year.. The best thing about the phone is the Wileyfox are really good with security updates as they use an unmodified version of Android, unlike Huawei and EMUI. You won't be disappointed with this phone if you go for it.
