All 4G Discounts, Offers and Sale - April 2018
As @heatt mentioned above, keep an eye on amazon.it, during my research last month I found them the cheapest across the european amazon websites. The black A8 had been down to €32x: https://it.camelcamelcamel.com/Samsung-Smartphone-espandibili-Versione-Italiana/product/B078KSJ7XV
Too late smart arse (lol) (lol)
I just had to copy and paste the link. I was going to put it in my first comment but I didn't want to be called 'smart arse' (lol)
Have you been searching for that for the last hour?
Smart arse. (lol)
Well try to respect people here by using language we can understand. You have already stated you can spell but obviously chosen not to. So you have shown you're just beings lazy or stupid. I find stupidity offensive... But this is the internet and I take little to offence. (popcorn)
Reported. Kindly have some respect for someone gracing you with text on the net. You, I have ZERO time for. Stop.
Not only is your English poor, you're an even worse liar.
I have 6gb, unl calls and texts on 30d contract with them for £7.50 inc vat. I transferred over then called them the next day and told them vodafone had offered me a retention deal if I didn’t move. They offered this I did not even haggle. If you are transferring from another company then we’ll worth a call
Yeah, once you're with PlusNet, just keep an eye on the deals and when a good one comes up ring customer services to switch on your monthly renewal date. They have absolutely no hesitations in doing this. It's worth setting a data counter on your phone to see how much you're actually using because you may need less than you think.
2000 min 3.5gb data not sure how many txt. All for £8.00 in February.
These deals are always around you just need to keep your eyes open
I was thinking of the 7110, which I owned and loved. That one had a button that fired the slider open, much like the one in The Matrix
I had the original, it wasn't spring loaded. Hollywood added the spring loaded affect.
Yes, and twitter, and allo, and Facebook and Snapchat and Instagram and that weird app that makes your face look funny. Oh and WhatsApp.. Yeah
are you sure whatsapp works on this?
Thanks for the sympathy 5luggger!
As I said....
is this toby as in toby mugs, cos you would have to be a mug to give some grey market in china who offers you no warranty, and a handful of costs if the thing goes wrong (if it even turns up!)
No new chips from Qualcomm. Mediatek are actually doing better at watch chipsets. I'm waiting for a western watch with a mediatek chip at its heart. There's a bunch of full-android watches coming out of china using them but then you've gotta deal with buggy firmware.
Its only as old as the software or updates it has. The Samsung has been out even longer, and still high in price.
Reasonable for 30 day.
£35 TCB after 3 months too - hot!
I voted cold because I hadn't read that this was a 30 day rolling contract and a month ago virgin offered this bundle for £10 a month on a 12 month contract. For a 30 day thing this is decent and similar to what Plusnet will sometimes offer. Both use EE network.
at least the same quality as my Doogee X5 pro which cost me 35 quid last year.
That's because the S8 Pro probably has a "Sub-Optimal" camera, what do you expect for £65 delivered from China? (flirt)
.. and no reason given. Classic. XD
Yes it's genuine, search YouTube for battery tests where people use USB current monitors. This is from my Power 3, stated size 6050 mAh
I wonder if this really had the battery capacity as stated. Read somewhere these big battery phones don't actually have the stated size.
What are Chuwi like? Looks a good spec but an unknown brand.
Chuwi tablet is better as it is Android 8/ Oreo with 4gb ram. and B20 4G band .
http://en.chuwi.com/product/items/Chuwi-Hi9-Air.html The Chuwi Hi 9 Air looks good too. Not sure what this brand is like. Great spec tho.
Product description mentions: Note: The keyboard and stylus in the picture are not included.
Don't know why this isn't getting heat, it looks like a decent enough android surface clone. The X20 is getting on a bit but still a pretty decent CPU, if a little power-hungry. I'm a bit confused as to whether it comes with the keyboard and stylus. Maybe not as good a deal if it doesn't...
Wrong, 12months warranty. backed up by my Credit Card issuer for a 'belt and braces' cover. Managed to get mine for around £190 after cashback from eglobal with Rakuten Super points worth £20 ;)
No warranty though.
Only paid £205 brand new 3 montha ago from eglobal.
Thanks for all all the links - but no mention of the actual sub model versions in those reviews? This one is apparently BLL-L22
Uk version 100% has NFC, I use mine regularly on my 6x.
I am pretty sure about the UK version, but I don't know about this one coming from Asia tho
None of the specs on websites seem to back that up? I'd love you to be right tho
I’m on the £15 tarriff but get 25% off
Customer service are sound. You can change your plan and they’re like okay
Anybody know whether you can set up a premium rate text message bar with plusnet (incoming and outgoing)?
Got the Plusnet 2gb 500min Utd text for £6 But need more data so going to call Plusnet and ask for discounted increase. Minor issue with Plusnet Sum only is you can't send text to competitions such as Good Morning 65432 etc
At home you can tether all your data, can't see anything about tethering abroad, anyone know if you can?
Mine arrived but comes up with No SIM message, tried 3 different SIM cards, anyone else having the same problem?
Warning: Ordered, Phone arrived quicker than I thought 2 hours ago I picked phone up straight to case: screen is simply very dirty underneath. far away from advertised "Pristine Condition". a lot of dust and dirt spots. no its not the protective screen. sorry. don't get me wrong phone except of screen was in really good condition. I have emailed the seller. they might end up acting professionally but had to post this to warn others!
Yes, indeed. I have not encountered such problem although some of my friends had issues with bootloop. Overall, I think that it is a good price for a phone that will not be receiving any new firmware updates to Oreo unless you flash it with a modified firmware.
No I didn't root it. I flash the rom. I downloaded the right rom for my lgg3 d855 then install it via pc. Just google it everything is there, below link is pretty much what I did. Before you do it make sure you backup everything and do it at your own risk (there is chance to brick the phone ) https://www.fushanj.com/blogs/fushanj-com-latest-updates/how-to-upgrade-lg-g3-d855-to-android-6-0-marshmallow-os
There are so many apps available to backup your data and they work the same on every Android phone, even one as old as this. Also not a good deal, you can get an LG G4 for the same money.
Oh great... Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm in London so far from the sticks lol... Really tempted by this phone now...
Oh.. Brilliant. Thanks. This phone seems like a great option with the enormous screen and battery life...
All UK networks use Band 20 to some extent. Three only use Band 20 for VOLTE and for LTE coverage in rural areas. You can only use VOLTE on certain, three supplied handsets, so as long as you don't live out in the sticks, you'll be fine. I'm on 3 and have a Mi Note 3 which doesn't have band 20 and I regularly get 70meg on 4G.
Under battery saver settings. You can schedule on and off.. Settings. Battery. Power. Battery saver. There is a section called schedule on off
It's perfectly usable for daytime/indoor with lighting but nightime shots or photo in low light come out a little fuzzy it's not bad but noticeable.
Anyone who has this, let me know what the camera is like please?
I bought my Mum the 64GB version and it's as fast as my OnePlus 3 and the build quality is as good as any flagship phone that costs 6 times the price of this phone. Heat added.
Got the 64 gig model phone is excellent, on April security update now.
£129.54 for me black standard
You'd have to have a personal glitch to pay that for it! £37 fair enough...
Has the same ram as my samsung tablet from 2012/13. I tried selling it and only cex were offering £36. Decided to keep it.
(lol) 8) cool.
But this is a tablet, and that's a phone.
The Xiaomi note 5a is cheaper then this and it comes with 2gb ram!
It was built in the system as the system updates. So even forcing stop it would start up again. Malware apps picked it up. Tried rooting the phone so I could remove the system app. But no root would work, done that before on other phones.
I was wary so installed Malwarebytes. It picked it up but couldn't remove it as it was a system file, The Rom on cubot.net also had it built in but once it has activated itself there is no way to remove it. I don't know what it was doing, I read somewhere it was sending data to a google server. Here I think
How did you know you had malware? Did another app report that it found some?
I had a cubot once and sent it back. Had malware that tracked login details for apps etc. like Facebook, email, online banking. It’s what’s put me off buying a Chinese brand that’s not regularly sold in the uk.
What was the malware? Or what did it do, just out of curiosity?
Android 6. 0 . Negative
its about the right price for 2gb ram and 16gb .. not 199
Bought it ;)
Try buy it at that.
Welcome to xenophobic HUKD
Ok, so this is cold, while a (non-plus) S8 is hot at around £60 less.....
(lol) I feel like Sam of London (cheeky)
Good to know ;) , thanks for your input. (highfive)
I haven't, thanks (y)
