Please be aware of the big problem that affects all Samsung NU7000 series Smart TV'S. As they've cut costs and put in only 1gb of storage, of which 100mb is usable. After only a few months when the Samsung apps need to update it'll ask you to free up over 100mb more space, which you cannot as the default apps cannot be removed. Meaning all your apps will be outdated and you eventually will have no space for new apps. This has happened to me after only half a year. I love my 65" NU7400, but this problem means it will not work properly as a smart TV. Take a look at this huge thread for details, like many others I'm fighting to get a replacement /refund: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/TV/Apps-storage-space-issue/td-p/808085

someone git a great deal on this

Dunno what the deal is (confused) seen this price in a few places for around a month or so.

Samsung 75NU7100 75" TV. Save £250 Cracking price for huge TV.

Very good point.

Just a word to the wise.......I would not risk getting a tv of this price without 5 year guarantee. Just that I have Samsung 55” that started to bleed after 2 plus years. Had the screen replaced under the guarantee.......apparently round about £450 cost. Would have had to dump it if I was faced with that sort of cost.

If you want to take the risk of nothing going wrong.

Then get it here. Prc It’s frequently around the £1000 mark so this is cold cold cold

Thanks markymark and basergorkobal. that helps. I may pay that bit more for the Q7

Reflectiveness is about average. Could be better considering the price bracket. It is a very bright screen however.

The q7 has significantly less reflection than the q6. Having said that the q6 isn't bad at all.

Excellent TV & the current best price (inc 6 year warranty). Was looking at OLED's myself, but this has a lot going for it over the OLED range & something to consider. The product number with the "N" is this years model - without the N is the 2018 version.

Intrigued as to why this is cold? I'm looking at getting this TV, want this size and the q9 or q7 with the separate unit to get it flush on the wall. I am almost ready to jump for the new TV so appreciate feedback. I have a 55 inch lg c6 and struggle with motion blur watching sports at present

Do not turn it on - it's one of those fake effects on normal, non HDR content - when you are viewing HDR content, the TV will switch to proper HDR mode.

Thanks for your reply. How or when do I turn on the HDR+ mode?

Although dull, that's the way it's supposed to look and Rtings setting looked fine on my previous MU8000, but you are right, 11 is far too dull looking - you'd need to be watching in a pitch black room! In saying that, I used those settings as a base and tweaked about until I liked it (and yes, on movie mode tweak the advanced setting): Backlight - 25 Brightness - 0 Contrast - 45 Sharpness - 25 Colour - 25 Tint - 0 Apply... All sources Digital Clean View - off Auto motion - off Local Dimming - Low Contrast Enhancer - Off HDR+ mode - OFF OFF OFF Colour Tone - Warm 1 Colour Space Settings - Auto YMMV of course, but I like the natural look those settings give. Different again for "proper" HDR content, but the backlight should be more or less maxed out.

Hi, I have a question on the calibration if you can help me please. I've followed the rtings settings but I am stuck at steps 2. Do I go to Movie (picture settings) and tweak the movie preset using the advance setting?? With backlight set to 11 and sharpness 0, the TV looks very dull.

Well the TV has Auto Low Latency and variable refresh rate, check Google, but you will probably want to be going direct to your TV - I have a newer Denon and it just got updated for A.L.L. but doesn't passthrough the VRR.

my very own stalker. I'm impressed..

Holy Hell. How many did C&M have in ttheir inventory!

Finally had a bash with mine today - only turned it on and I was shocked (ho ho) at the screen. I was prompted to DL an app to a smart phone to set up the TV (I still don't really know what it 'set up' apart from a connection between the two - was that it?) that entailed further DL of Samsung Browser that needed to be default browser, then get a Samsung frikkin account that wanted Name DOB postcode. I thought "Whaaaattttt?". Fed them trash and will block comms (wanted email and spamability) and will likely delete the whole thing unless its kick ass from the phone (unlikely).

Blah Blah Blah. You say the same thing repetitively on QLED threads. It's like you are trying to prove something. To yourself.

Yep to short got to be 45mm but all sorted now as found some so no worries dude cheers

Yes I have. Will double check when I get home tonight but I think 40mm is too short. I had to go buy longer ones...

It says M8 x 43mm to 45mm bolts using the supplied spacers you get with the TV but my old ones are 40mm so im hoping they will be long enough but will have to see tomorrow when delivered...

Have you got one or are preparing for one because mine came with some sort of fixings VESA related fixings. I didn't look into it because I made a quick stand for mine but they may have a bearing on bolt length. Roughly they are plastic hollow tubes with a flange one end. Maybe better to have theses to hand before judging for yourself, unless anyone can help answer your question with the specifics you asked for..

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/q6fn-q6-q6f-qled-2018/settings It may be possible to turn dimming off completely in the service menu though this will likely disable user control of the backlight level in the normal menus. (Enter the service menu at your own risk - google it for details.) Dimming improves (dark) contrast on LCD TVs at the expense of blooming particularly when white meets black such as stars against a sky or subtitles - it can usually be set such as low, med, high etc. but only disabled in a service menu. I think even in Game Mode there is some auto dimming still active - can anyone confirm..?

I think the 6F is an older version of the 6FN but not sure. This says the N one has HDR+ and tizen 4.0 and the 6F does not have HDR+ and has tizen 3.0.

Mine arrived yesterday. Just been watching Street Fighter on SYFY it was brilliant. The television looked and sounded good as well

350 nits is the norm on low-mid range TV sets. Samsung, Hisense, and LG TV's all have poor peak brightness at the lower end. Samsung's similarly priced (but still £1000 for 75") NU7100 series only reaches 260 nits for HDR content. LG's UK6300 series only hits 180 nits for SDR and just under 300 nits for HDR. Not everybody has £2000+ to spend on a TV if the size of their room requires a 75" TV, this might be all they can afford. In most cases, the Toshiba will perform well, look sharp, have reasonable colour. But it won't match LG or Samsungs high end sets, which should be a shock to absolutely no one.

Better-performing HDR TVs typically generate at least 600 nits of peak brightness, with top performers hitting 1,000 nits or more. But many HDR TVs produce only 100 to 300 nits, which is really not enough to deliver an HDR experience. Standard dynamic range TVs generally produce 300 to 500 nits at most, but in general, HDR TVs aim much higher. Some top-tier models can display upwards of 2,000 nits of peak brightness for HDR highlights. Sony has shown off a prototype TV capable of a whopping 10,000 nits of peak brightness. 350 nits is very poor for this size of screen. When you have it, you will see!

Crampton and Moore Site - £799.99

Well at first C&M didn't have the 5 yr warranty on their ebay page so maybe that's why. £99 delivery...whaaat? That seems a cop out tbh because economy...just like RS is free. Looks like you were unfortunate to get connected to the wrong people at the wrong time. Wish you all the best though. Me too as it happens a lot of the things I buy have problems!

Everyone who got it from RS for £639 got a great deal. £10 off and longer warranty. Maybe a better warranty I don't know. I was told different things for them not doing it i.e no 5 year warranty, delivery is £99 etc. Rather they just said "sorry we won't match this price". I got one from C&M with 5 year warranty so I'm happy. Esp as I was going to pay almost £700 from JL week before.

Don't know man. It was my first attempt at RS PM but I think the person I spoke to knew the deal because I only stated the basics (the company, the code, the TV and that it was on ebay for £x), and was expecting some questions from them, but they just accepted what I said and offered me the TV for 639 straight off. They also said something about shipping it early or later (like "in 3 to 5 days the courier will be in touch about shipping dates") free but I got a call today and they are delivering it this week even though I chose the longer free delivery option. LOL Crap things are going too well!

For me I emailed/called when the deal hadn't been long posted. Think they make the rules up as the ho along. I'm sure in the past I've read that RS don't price match if the other company don't offer a 6 year warranty - which not many will.

Maybe the deal was over when they got around to looking?

Haha thanks dude. P.s. the judder and motion blur while watching the champions league last week was unbearable even when motion blur and judder were set correctly. Anyhoo, it's all history, now I can enjoy the beautiful display I've been waiting to get for the past 3-4 years (highfive)

Tell her to buy a whip and to take her anger out against me on you. I will wince in pain from a distance. Joking aside, glad that you are happier now. It is not an easy thing and these TV's are so ruddy expensive. Cna be quite an expensive mistake. My attitude now with expensive tech - TV's, phones, computers - is to return them if I have a shadow of a doubt about whether I have bought the right thing or not. To be frank, despite all the latest tech of these TV's if they stutter on stuff like sport then that is a big backwards step over good old fashioned CRT tech. Enjoy your new TV.

I took the plunge and changed to oled. Thank you for swaying me.... my wife really hates you now (lol) But seriously, my heart is now content. Always wanted to see what is on the other side and this time all that glitters is gold.

Worked ! Thanks for the tip (highfive)

Thanks will give this a go later tonight or tomorrow at some point.

Previously a hot deal at Amazon for this price, although I would personally prefer RS with the longer warranty.

Only one available in 1 store in Nottingham..Handy if you live in Nottingham..Good price

My guess is that because your TV screen is quite small you perceive the image quality to be better on your TV, the smaller the TV the better standard definition will look, upscaled or not as you have a higher density of pixels in a smaller area. Whereas when you go to your mate's house who might have a 60" TV the larger screen makes standard definition TV look worse than on your own TV as naturally the pixel density is not as good as on a smaller TV. If you're thinking of buying this TV though, you really should not be doing so if you expect to just view standard definition content on it, seems such a waste of money.

Just wondering if someone can help me. I'm after a new TV and want something bigger than what I usually have. Currently I have a Samsung 46 inch d6530. I'm wondering how this tv compares in comparison with my TV. I'm very happy with the up scaling of standard definition of my TV. I've seen other TV sets in other people's house who has 4k. But their standard definition up scaling is terrible. Is this tv good for it?

I bought this due to having the same problem

Thanks for that, much appreciated. That is about 150mm to big for my av unit
