Ah, I was just going by the Amazon listing as it says 200Hz in the description. Thanks for clarifying.

Hi. This can be overclocked to 120hz, the Acer you are thinking about for 200hz is the Predator X35 i believe.

Yeah, it's a bit odd. I've seen it boasting the 200Hz elsewhere, so it's maybe just whoever made the Amazon listing didn't think to include it in the main splurge/title.

Because, depending on the panel, you may not be able to get that 200hz. It's rare, but it's not guaranteed.

Now that's more appealing idk why they don't just make that the advertised speed if it can reach that since 100hx will put many off It's clearly really underclocked if overcooking doubles the refresh rate (lol)

19 days to deliver. Finally got a notification today after 16 days of waiting.

I had the same experience with customer services, one weak excuse after another, I just cancelled my order.

Well, after one customer assistant telling me that I'm basically dreaming and that the item was definitely out of stock when I ordered it (it definitely wasn't... ) Another assistant has just told me this... And I'm being told to wait until the item is in stock, after just being told three days ago that it was definitely in stock and would be escalated to the shipping team and an email notification would be sent to me within 48hrs to let me know that is has shipped. What is Amazon playing at here exactly?

Messaged them myself and I got a very generic response, "I see that item is out of stock, I have forwarded your feedback to our team, once item is in stock, you will get updated about it". Obviously I got an advisor that was as useful as a chocolate teapot.

I messaged amazon customer service to find out what was happening and they've guarenteed that it will be shipped within the next 48 hours. I have no idea at all why it has taken this long and its obviously not only me with the problem. They also said they have crossed-checked and they are definitely in stock. Strange one!

Hard to find monitors right now but in stock @ Argos for next day delivery!

I'll take a look - thanks!

If you can get hold of them, their V series is much better as they use VA panels rather than TN (TN have much worse colour and viewing angles). Some of the guys at work have these screens and they are so washed out, its painful to read from.

Do you have a sub £100 alternative? As i'm not being furloughed now, I could really do with one (confused)

K Series are awful for viewing angles, very washed out panels. I suspect most are buying for emergency work from home screens, I would only buy if desesperate as work tasks are horrible on these.

Which one?

GO BIG OR GO HOME! Manufacturer refurbished : Seller notes: “Unit has been newly refurbished within the Acer UK service centre and tested to be in full working order.”

Most 4k TVs are either not 4k60hz or do a poor job of it. Its not uncommon for them to have screen support but not the required dp or hdmi spec to pump it in. Had a 40” panasonic but it was far too big imo for sitting at the desk, its the vertical distance that ruined it i think. Going for UW for my next monitor

Wow, Is this really any better than buying a TV?

A genuinely great price for a 1440p 144hz IPS Monitor. If you're worried about flickering issues Acer is known for I've had a fantastic experience returning an MSI monitor to AO… Read more

Got it, can't fault it for the price/panel type

I've posted a slightly better deal, it's also AO but with an eBay discount.

i have this monitor. it looks stunning and it performs well in fast paced FPS games. really have to stop myself buying a second.

I have this monitor and I'm impressed by it. Bright, clear and reasonable motion blur (as Solado said, you get extreme artifacts if you put overdrive on max but it's fine one below). Don't buy this expecting to use the speakers, they're terrible. I was nervous about buying this because I'd read there's an extreme panel lottery with the flickering that happens on some of these monitors (which is probably why this is £50+ cheaper than similar monitors) but I've not experienced this at all so I lucked out.
