and what may they be ?

Cheechako

Home Bargains have an Airwick version of this advent calendar for the same price 😁

So you light a device made of paraffin wax which release carcinogens and it's made by "Airpure"! Someone is having a laugh.

Googlyhead

I work that out as about 17p per tealight. I guess ultimately it depends if they're decent or not. Obviously there are cheaper tealights and more expensive scents

I find that some people read comments but yeah that is a good idea to expire it to stop loosing heat and getting comments.

AmyBee1613

Oh I know just gets frustrating at times. I’ve had my share of deals that aren’t great but then you get one that’s amazing an folk really appreciate so it’s worth posting in the hopes of getting a great deal out there for everyone to enjoy :)

eslick

Sadly people don’t read the comments, they see the deal and just post their feeling, unless it’s an Apple thread where they just moan and moan anyway. You are always going to get multiple posts, it’s just the way it works, worse when someone asks a question and it gets answered half a dozen times. Just don’t worry about it. One thing to consider is if the deal gets to cold just expire it it will stop the comments and also stop you losing your heat.

AmyBee1613

I would just hate to think people would be put off posting due to the way some people comment on their deals. I know what you're saying people need to be pointed in the direction of the best deal as that's the point of the site but some times it just comes across negatively thats all

AmyBee1613

Exactly once it's been said once it doesn't need to be said another 5 times. People get the message

This was a good price too, was going to get the Friends one for a change this year (although agree the City one is always better). I know you can look the calendars up online and see all the contents, but think it is poor they have removed the contents included from the side of the box on the Star Wars/Friends/City calendar this year. This is a negative step, Lego have always been transparent before. Is no coinidience surely they have cut back on the contents!

I had one last year and was a bit disappointed for the cost. Some of the items were not that special. There must be a big profit margin for Amazon on this.

Bestbitter

Thanks, OP. I got their calendar on 17th November last year, and was quite impressed with the size and contents. However, I did not pay £50. The price dropped from £50 to £30 in the middle of November, and was also coupled with another deal which was...Buy the Amazon Beauty Sample Box worth £35 for £14.99 and receive a credit of the same value to spend on a future Amazon Beauty purchase. So I applied the credit to the Callendar. Total for Sample box and Advent calendar was therefore £30. So I will hold off buying this, in the hope that similar reductions/deals might be launched in the next few days.

I've been waiting for this for my wife but the reviews a bit mixed!
