Ah sweet thanks for the clarification...... As previously mentioned, google is far better than alexa for questions so was thinking of getting a Google Home to sit along side the 3 Alevas
Yes, no problem at all. As long as a device is capable to be controlled from this kind of stuff. If device isn't then you can always use smart plugs or sonoff etc. Just to make it clear, you can turn it on from any alexa and turn off from any google or other way around too.
Second that, will go as far as to say the 3rd gen dot sounds better than second gen echo. That's the change I made and very happy with the decision
Very good question. I've got alexa controlling a bulb and a socket but not tried anything with google yet. It's in the kitchen and I've only really used it for music (got it free with spotify subscription).
Can you use both together to control home automation? So alexa in one room and Google in another but control the same light or socket?
