Great with the app, great to keep track of your weight, great to buy into the fitbit ecosystem.

One problem, utterly terrible at accurately measuring weight.
Good price , got mine for £10 more in Sainsburys sale a year ago . Links well to Fitbit app .

@lilymac . My child is only 2 but she will grow up liking it. ATM she loves Sofia, Moana, anything MMCH Minnie and all characters, Toy Story and has recently got into Frozen, Lion King and (groan) Peppa Pig🔫🔫. She loves Aristocats too . I tried so hard with Lady and The Tramp but she never showed interest :/. Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid weren't of interest yet but she is young lol. She's always favoured Disney .

Just recently replaced the set as the non stick coating had been completely removed on a couple of the pans.....no doubt due to using hard utensils.Edit: replaced with something else..... They didn't last quite as long as I expected

The 10 year guarantee is piece of mind for those who use correctly and cost co will give a cash refund no questions asked even after 5 or more years of use. I know this because I returned a Kirkland enamel pot that I had for 4/5 years and the enamel started chipping off. They refunded me with no fuss whatsoever. If these ever develop a fault they will be going back.

For the same reason Costco is the only place you should buy expensive jewellery or electronics like a TV.

Its a poor product. I am on my 4th set of scales because of this "sensing err" mentioned above. There is talk of class action against fitbit for them as clearly they are not fit (excuse the pun) for purpose.

http://fitbitariagraveyard.com/

Fitbit might well replace as youve suggested, but why would you knowingly buy an item that will self destruct and be without while they ask for proof and then take a further month to send it to you. The idea is for daily measuring, not 6 to 8 week gaps every 3 to 6 months or so.

Cold. Nothing personal.

I'd not recommend them, my set had an update after 2 years (guarantee period). After this they simply didn't work. And fitbit refused to do anything about it, so they've become a large glass paperweight. The issue is a known problem (look at the fitbit forum for the "sensing, err" issue). The main problem is there is no reset button on the scales, so if something does get screwed up, there is nothing you can do to fix it.

I'm surprised youve only had to change the batteries twice, but I think you've been particularly lucky. I've had 2 sets that have died within 18 months and the link I posted shows its a very common fault. Mine died in March just outside the 12 month warrenty and I wont be buying another set.

However, I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone buying these scales. As soon as you need to change the batteries, which is likely to be about a year later, you will probably run into problems. Look on the fitbit forums and you will see you will get an "ERR" error message and the scales broken. Ive had two sets and they've both had this problem. A quick google search and you will see what I mean.

I was tempted to get these but went for the Withings 30 model after some research (when it was Black Friday). Once it's hooked up to your wifi it auto syncs in the background, never had any issues. I didn't bother with the Aria or the pricier Withings because the only extra functionality is body fat % & this isn't very accurate or consistent.

The profile system also works great, when I get on it saves my weight as me (my initials in the corner to indicate that). Same for my wife etc. And I have it set up to then scroll through weight graph of recent readings, BMI & weather for the day (all customisable/can change order). It also auto updates my Withings, Fitbit, Strava, Garmin, Mapmyfitness, Health etc apps.
