LG G6 in astro-black or platinum with free Bang & Olufsen Headphones. Sold by BT shop - £299

Seems like a reasonable price. Earphones… Read more

The earphones come in a dedicated LG box which is sealed, ie not B&O branded. The box was a bit battered and had some brown marks on it. I've only lifted the cover off, the phone appears to be untouched. My son got one from eglobal about a year ago. He's just confirmed that his box wasn't sealed either.

Was it to allow the ear phones to be added/inserted into the box? If unsure maybe best to clarify by calling the BT shop. What was the condition of the phone?

Phone arrived today. The box isn't sealed though, is that normal?

Just ordered! Thanks for tip

Touché my friend, touché ;) (unicorn)

Possibly. I don't bore my friends however with rubbish deals ;)

Wow, I bet you're a laugh at dinner parties (highfive)

Yes. If people go outside of the usual suspect of apple and Samsung, there are some decent phones out there. Bear in mind 15 years when Nokia and Motorola were major players, people would have queried Samsung making phones. I'm typing this from a Xiaomi - people say who and I then tell them it's an 18 billion dollar revenue company. And the 4th largest manufacturer of smartphones.

I wonder how much LG charge to replace a g6 (or g4 for that matter) battery? Just ordered a G6 for the better half, despite the boot loop issue of lg g4. Been very happy with my g4 aside from not being able to source an authentic g4 battery to replace mine.

Like others I've owned various LG phones and this one is the best. It's very comfortable to hold and use. The two rear view cameras are useful especially the wide angle one even if the definition isn't as good as the standard view one. It charges fast using the correct charger. Wireless charging would have been nice but nowhere near as quick. Like all phones it isn't perfect but at this price it's a worthy candidate. I'm very happy with mine.

I had a G3 with bootloop (failed battery) and a g5 where the power button stopped working. Switched to an s7 edge and haven't looked back. Much better build quality and the battery lasts twice as long. Only thing I miss is the dual camera on the g5. I wouldn't buy another LG.

What Sony beats the P20? Really like the look of that one. Battery life and screen burn seem to plague Samsungs from looking at friends' phones after few months.

I have tried to like the LG phones because I remembered how people used to rave about the G2. I have since brought the LG Pro , LG X Fast and the V20. Nothing really goes well with any of them. I paid a lot of money for the V20 and it would be a great phone. But the lenses glass broke in a week in a leather phone case ( well know problem - check online ) and I can't even get one whole days battery . I don't even play games or any social media etc. Now I have The Huawei Mate 20 Pro and battery lasts all day but none touch Samsung or Sony and that's a shame.

This seeme quiet a good deal , these are usually around 279.99

Just make sure you change the pads

But these are new retails ones and CEX ones are used ones , thats a lot of difference. You can getter better price for used ones ebay. You must know CEx mostly deals with second hand stuff and are not retailers as such.

Keep a eye out for these at CEX online, far far cheaper, i got my A grade ones their before, but hey sent wrong version sent me PS4 version when i needed XB1 but they do sometimes have in stock... they got some C grades in at the moment, but A brades are normally £140

Thanks for taking the time to post your find @sweet_mee - nice find :)

Razer Thresher (non ultimate) is better imo.

Beyers are as they were when knew. Outstanding. Sounds like you didn't get past the a50 presets. A real shame as with a little know how you may have been surprised. Out of the box settings are average at best. If you ever invest be sure to drop me a line and I'll be more than happy to give you some help.

They're crud, hence the reason I upgraded when I could.

The A50s sound notoceably muddy. Your Beyers must be worn out.

I tried this headset once. What can I say. Minesweeper sounded great (cheeky)

Thank you bought using gold points so cost me nothing :)

Heat! Got it for 29p with my points added! Looks like a space version of Snake on the Nokia 3310.

Just downloaded and had a quick blast. Good fun handheld, will be a good quick time killer. Think classic snake with new twists for the new generation multiform console. Cheers OP, worth the 89p. Have some heat. (y)

Should be back in stock in a week or so.

Well I paid same price (actually worked out around 215 because I bought credit online) for this in cex in october. It was a grade b but came like new, albeot unboxed with only chatger and eject pin. Cex also gives 2y warranty. I dont think I would pay the same fot his now. Device is good though and I actually stuck with it until like a week ago, which fir me is not so obvious as I change phones frequently, but the price should be a bit better by now I suppose.

Wouldn't touch LG again after the bootloop fiasco, lost 2 handsets which they wouldn't repair

No bootloop issues in G6 so far. It's a great phone and it will be soon updated to Android 8.

Yes this is a peculiar LG thing. Has happened on my G2 and more recently, on an old LG G-pad 8.3. Resetting sometimes solves the problem for a while but it always reappears. I believe LG paid out on a class action related to this issue in the US. The G6 is a fantastic phone, but I just don't want to throw 250 notes given the bootloop issue. Heated.

Had this before I got a s9 plus great phone. I recommend the LG if your on a Budget

Had an LG Nexus 5x which suffered from bootloop, which was repaired under warranty, but took three weeks - hard to consider LG again.

Surely it will still have remainder of LG 2 year warranty?

I looked at the Nokia but it's more than I want to pay really. Only thing that put me off this g6 is the 90 day warranty, a year warranty and I'd have bought.

Phone price will probably drop even more once the LG G7 ThinQ is out

They're also a pretty flower! :D

Yeah it was good, powerful to run demanding headphones. What put me of with LG was the slowness of updating software. I liked the removable battery, wide angle Cam, DAC. I will wait and see what V40 will be like, might come bk who knows.

These headphones are actually very comfortable, more comfier than any sennheiser ive purchased. Only problem that is annoying me is that I have now figured out why my mic never worked in black ops 2 and turns out I have to use PTT for this game which sucks. Should be a way just to have it on all the time. As for the sound quality its decent and is fine.

I would return them and just use any in ear headphones you have and put the 20 pounds towards a mixamp the hyper X is a good pairing I also own a pair of them look up the 350 se sennheiser they are crazy cheap in most places they are the older game zeros

thanks for the helpful info :) Others have recommended the hyperx headphones too. I just bought a pair of Numbro headphones from amazon as it is a best seller on there and I needed something for now. Not tried them yet but if they aren't good then I will look into Astro and hyperx

If your in the market to get a headset get a Astro mixamp and pair it with any headphones you like I use PC 360s And hd700s I do double amp when I use the latter

Ive been off the gaming scene for too long.

3.5 jack makes this a no for me. For gaming need a USB one for better sound

Long cable on these, which is a pain in the butt if it is connecting to your controller. Just bear that in mind. Incredibly resilient headset, mic is decent and not got actual surround sound dolby kinda stuff, but they are mad useful on games like BF1.

Yes. Connects to your controller via the Jack (at least it does on the Xbox), so no fancy surround sound. Very good headset though.

It's wired and no much info whether it got surround sound. Seems like it links via a 3.5 jack.. So sound quality is questionable for me

I wish they had padded the headrest just a bit more though but yes is a very nice headset for the money

Yep. Mine scratched everywhere despite being in a case.

Unfortunately that is not sold by Amazon. Wondering if they even give manufacturer warranty with that price tag

Still running a g3 here. Price on amazon for g6 is now £245.58

yeah I had the same issue! I have no idea how it broke, I've removed the shattered glass and put a tempered glass camera protector. Also my lower mic stopped working.

I had a g6 - the problem I had was the SIM card tray is made of soft plastic. It snapped inside the handset and the broken piece couldn't be retrieved preventing me inserting my SIM or an SD card. It a fairly common issue . Vodafone initially claimed that a snapped simtray wasn't covered by the warranty - but in the end they swapped my G6 out for a p10 (they've stopped selling LG handsets).

Anker Power Bank Astro E1 5200mAh Ultra Compact Portable Charger. Amazon Lightning Deal, looks a good price for a pocket friendly power bank.

Got this, great kit but only accepts a 1 amp max charger, any more it won't charge.

Good price for an Anker but doesn't feel right when compared to the Aukey 20000mAh power bank for £9.99 deal - while Aukey aren't quite as good a brand, they are still decent and respected! I guess some people want the smaller size too... I found the Poweradd Slim2 5000mAh (hexagonal-shaped) one for £7.99 to be very good, and another good brand (I got mine for £6 about a year ago):

Bought the 20,100mAh version last year. Like a brick and enough juice to power a house. Just wish I'd opted for a smaller version! (embarrassed)

I got the higher capacity (6.7Ah) version of this a couple months ago. So far I'm very happy with it.

good deal. I've had this one for a few years and it works great.

Well my phone turned up yesterday. It's for Christmas so I just wrapped my own phone. The Mrs can hand it to me on the big day. Then i'll be contacting JL for my £70 refund! Fingers crossed!

They say 7 days and I have 5 so fingers crossed! Why wouldn't they price match? When I applied it was £370 on JL so only a £10 price diff saving, but I agree at £430 it's too dear. If they don't give me the £70 it will be going back.

Hope it turns up in time , which it should.John lewis wouldn't price match for me.John lewis charging £429 is too high

Finally took the plunge. Just bought an LG G6 from John Lewis on a price match I got for 369.97. was hoping it might drop a bit more but no. And my 28 days runs out Monday. So went for it. Now to see if it turns up before Christmas Day!

I've emailed JL back and they've confirmed they will honour my price match so long as I use it before it expires. So might go for it. If they don't I'll fire the email back at them and ask for a full refund if they don't play ball.

Lightening deal on amazon, great little charger for backpack or handbag.

Unlike the bigger ones these have a power button that you have to press after plugging in your usb - easy to forget and damned annoying. Why? in what circumstances are you thinking 'I'll plug my device in now but I don't want it charging - I'll turn that on later'. Other maker's chargers seem to manage fine with the 'plug in when you want to charge ' principle.

Not bad if your looking for a gaming headset in the sale. The best deal I've seen is £47,99 for the Astro A10 down from £59.99

Is this the cheapest deal for the A40 TRs?

How is it easier to switch if you don't mind me asking? I'm currently using two transmittors :P

Cool I'll have a look once my partner give me a chance to use the laptop! Having said That, I now need to look for a cheap laptop for myself... I can't be dealing with her hogging the laptop on the eve of black Friday.... Then she complains about not being able to wake up on time for work!!! I'm like GO TO SLEEP WOMAN!!!

Like Pro used to be called LimeXB360. Been around for years. They started as a shop primarily for Xbox 360 modded controllers and headsets, but have fleshed out into a multiplatform store, hence the name change recently. £149.99 for the Astro Gen 3's on there, returns but they are immaculate. Me and a friend for some and both pairs looked brand new.

I'll check out this lime pro you mention, never heard of them. Cool I'll probably stick to the gen 3 Astro a50 but they are not cheap at over 200 quid. Currently using turtle beach 800x elite for the ps4 pro - They are not as good as the a50s I owned (especially comfort wise). But for 56 during the Amazon 40% student sale I couldn't resist , so a bargain for the price.
