And just like last time, it's cleaned out again when I got there - dam I'm too slow!!

been posted by me.however it was expired due to hukd cleaning amazon every right to be from me :)

If my experience is anything to go by, the agents have been instructed to only offer proportionate refunds. For example, I was offered a 50% refund when only 4 bars of chocolate arrived last week, instead of the advertised 8. I called his bluff by rejecting this and saying that I would like to return. Of course they don't allow returns of food products, so he then offered a full refund (without return) which I accepted gratefully.

Did you try to contact Amazon about it ? They may have refunded you and corrected the misinformation on the product page.

Emirates crap? Gulf Air has a new plane in the London service but older planes to non prestige destinations. Plus Dubai airport and the city itself are far better than Bahrain.

Wow so original and funny hehehehe

Absolutely by any measure the most pathetic airlines in the entire world. This is not a deal a honey trap !!!

I would say you have to take reviews with a pinch of salt. You know the one complaint heard loudest over 1000 good reviews. I would say dont be frightened to give this a try, the same experiences the above have do not mean you will.

Thanks, I will be going to Philippines next year and I thought if I should cheap out and buy a flight with AirChina, or spend a bit more and enjoy the flight

Yes, I vowed never again a long time ago. The food and drink, in flight service, entertainment etc is awful. They even lost my luggage in Hong Kong which then had to be forwarded to me a day later. The check-in service is comparable to Little Britain’s “Computer says, No!” Seriously, I would never recommend them.

Horrible airline, speaking from experience! Not only lost our bags on the way back from Beijing but managed to send my bag to my friend in Manchester and his bag to me in London! Took another week before we saw any of our baggage. Better off paying £50 - £100 more and cutting a few hours off via India or UAE!

Completely agree with this tbh - much better to start a flight from outside the UK - even if it's ireland you can save £££'s on a business class flight :)

OP, I travel between the UK and Japan about 12 times a year, in business and in first class. I have explained that it's advantageous to commence the long haul segments from just outside the UK, and which airlines offer good well-priced service. My advice wasn't directed at you, it was intended to give pointers to others looking for better deals I doubt, very much, that there are many people with as much knowledge of how and where to book well-priced premium class travel.

Heat from me

You're talking POOP pal, no availability on Gulf and KLM £3000+ Post an actual deal and back up what u say!!

It's not that good a deal. There are so many better business-class options to get to BKK The first thing to be aware of is the United Kingdom Air Passenger Duty (APD) of £156 You can get rid of almost all of that by starting your long-haul segments from outside the UK I often use Paris, Frankfurt, or another "nearby" major city to avoid that ridiculous charge. You'll have no difficulty in finding biz-class seats on a better carrier than Oman Air, Gulf Air springs immediately to mind. KLM are often around this price, or less, too.

Can't really find any at £300 or abouts price as quoted

Flown with them 4 times. I have ONLY ever selected them based on price as the service is TERRIBLE (and usually when the price difference is over £80 as I'd rather spend the extra without having the hassle.) Customer services non existent. They'll change tickets as they see fit. Website used to be terribly UNSTABLE charging but not issuing tickets. Doha has to be one of the most boring transit airports ever and you're usually there for several hours. If you get tickets to Indonesia at £289 take them... The next best price I've ever had is £400 with Garuda (direct though!)

They'll demand it if your a migrant worker

LHR-DOH this year.

Don't think there was any need for that rude comment :/ I had better experience with Thomson flying to the Med, simply sharing my experience. It seems there are more positives than negatives, also seems they've upgraded aircraft since as this was a few years ago. Personally due to the experience I had I would still choose a different airline where possible. As stated, I flew from Qatar to U.K. which is classed as long haul.

Sorry it was a wind up, my bad, not cool, I have a lot of respect for the Thais, especially their work at Leicester City, not just the money but the Buddhist monks blessing the pitch etc there was some sort of magic being worked there last season, that's for sure.

Is this post a joke? I'm struggling to find anything I can take seriously in this - whether it be the characterisation of all Thais as transsexuals and drug dealers (they're not), the idea that they alone are contributing to the drop in air fares (they aren't), the belief that there wouldn't be a mass outpouring of grief if Elizabeth died (there would), or even that there necessarily should be some (there shouldn't be, imho - but that's because I don't think any particular family should be given huge privileges over the rest of the country just because of who their parents are/were).

November is always Cheap ... Thompson were doing £299 return from Phuket.

Why don't you trust Omega? I've booked flights with them before and not had any problems

I do travel to Doha quite frequently because my girlfriend lives there so I know that flights from the UK to Qatar are not cheap. You could get cheaper flights with Oman Air or Gulf Air but you need to change at least once. And Pegasus have a worse reputation than Ryanair and they're often late or their flights get cancelled so I'd not use them. I get it that it's a good price for a business class flight and you can collect a huge amount of Avios and tier points but you still need to get to Doha somehow. Maybe we could start posting deals on flights from Dallas to Johannesburg or Vladivostok to Shangai.

Why? Why do people comment on things they have absolutely no clue about :/

How are you getting the option for long layovers? I can't see how to do that

Security at PEK were allowing only one power bank and confiscating others - saw piles of perfectly good power banks confiscated. I got my Anker power bank through and they took long time looking at my powered speaker 'brick' but allowed that through in the end.

I've used Air China to Bangkok in the past. Flight London to Beijing is good but the Beijing to Bangkok is pretty small and old aircraft. Food is OK! Would fly with them again. I also stayed 72 hours in Beijing. Paid around 320

What was their issue with powerbanks? They never took mine, I always kept it in my hand luggage which I believe is a condition of all airlines

Flew Air China to Manila in March 2016. Leg room was reasonable. There are two options for each meal: Western or Chinese. I went for the Chinese and it was satisfactory. They only do complimentary beer or cheap wine and water isn't handed out in bottles, only small cups. Customer service was ok but nothing special. You get what you pay for. Stay a couple of nights in Bangkok....then head up north to beautiful Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.

Thank you. That's very helpful.

If you want a bit of advise, I would only stay a day or 2 in Bangkok then travel on to the north or down to the island in the south , Then come back to for a few days in Bangkok before flying home. If you look for Hotels in the Sukhumvit area near the sky trains then it will make it a lot easier for you to get around.

Wow. Booked it. Can't quite believe it, hadn't even thought of going to Bangkok but for that price. When is the best time to book a hotel for these dates?

Do to travel issues in Burma (part of the charm), i would not recommend it if you are on a short time scale. It all depends on what you are after tbh... I love the Philippines, but I would stay away from Manila - it's a great city, but you need to know the city or know someone who knows it to find out all the hidden spots... If do go, let me know and i will tell you where to go.. If you were doing island hopping / city holiday (based upon flight costs), i would do something like: Hong Kong for a 3 nights, maybe pop over to Macau too... Fly to Manila and then connect to Boracay for 3 or 4 nights (it has far too many tourists, but a lot of my friends still love it). From Boracay, i would fly to Cebu and travel down to Oslob and go swimming with whale sharks 2 nights (only 2 nights to relax from travelling too). Travel by boat to Bohol and spend 3 nights - could also go to siquijor on the way for a couple of nights... From Bohol travel to Manila to fly home from or even back to Hong Kong for a night. That's not a bad route... this one is easy enough to do, not too expensive, not too long on a bus etc... All depends how adventurous you are...

Thanks. I'm tempted to try 2 countries in a 2 week holiday later this year and you've just put this on the itinerary. Anywhere else in SE Asia you'd highly recommend?

I loved the feeling i got in Burma, you could tell things are starting to change, but things were still Asian. I am lucky and have travelled to over 100 countries including most of South-East Asia, never had this feeling before. They have cars with steering wheel on the right hand side, but drove on the left (cars from Japan, but driving the same side as the europeans) - highly dangerous. With my domestic flights they just cancel or change the times when they wanted, i woke up at 2am - checked my emails as you do and i found out at 1am they emailed to say my flight had changed from 4pm to 6am. When i got the flight it must have been some big shot as lots of staff lined up to take photo's with him... One of my boarding passes was made from cardboard! Beer is cheap, weather is good... Not been to the beach yet... Loved the mix of indian in the culture... Just lots of things, i could not put my finger on it.... 100% will go back.

What was great about Burma if you don't mind me asking?
