Yep. I bought a one from China off ebay, no box just in bubblewrap, for £7. My neighbour bought one from Tesco for £25, which is regularly £12.50, and cosmetically it's exactly the same except the one from Tesco has a brand name printed one. (Sadly!) We compared footage of our journeys to work and the quality is the same. Anyone who knows about the electronics market is well aware of rebadging.
If someone was to clone a dash cam why would they clone such a crappy one? You may well be correct but I suspect they are all from the same Chinese factory with the same internals just a different brand name and the seller twisting the truth about it's abilities in the specs.
Not quite, there are several "clones" of this dashcam type that all look identical to this, varying in quality, many of which at the £10 price bracket are so bad they're genuinely useless. Buying one of these off ebay for anything between £5 and £30 is a minefield as to which level of quality you actually end up with, even if they're listed as being 1080p, which some are, but they're crap, the internals and sensors are the cheapest of the cheap
This is a generic dashcam, available for less than a tenner on ebay.
I don't think a penny more will make a difference for this camera. Pixels are just in the specifications.
