Think the statement that it’s close to Birmingham is a little exaggerated... it’s like saying Luton is in London...

Just don't expect much if you actually walk around Kidderminster... close to Worcester though which is a nice place to have a wonder around :)

Nice hotel, I've stayed here a couple of times. Close to the Safari park.

From the person who has said it's not an ebay scalper...

40% discount off makes Merlin prices fantastic though ;-)

I can see this set being well under half price once Xmas is over. I'll then buy a pallet load!

Not bad considering that Merlin like to mark-up prices.

Link error, perhaps adding dates in the title will help, there are plenty of cheap places if out of season, most of them start around this price, particularly in Turkey Nov-Feb time. Good price but depends on dates, sure this price is not for summer or school holidays.

A chip barm?

Nevadent sonic toothbrush £11.89 @ Lidl - Birmingham

Good deal but this isn't a sonic, just a mechanical. Sonic is the next step up, then it's ultra Sonic. Sonic toothbrushes are much better and I've seen some stores selling them for £20, which compared to competitors, is a stinking bargain. Plus the heads are cheap too. This is still a deal but look for Sonics if you want to treat your teeth. Ultra Sonics require special Toothpaste and much more expensive.

I was lucky too & couldn’t find the receipt ;( .. adding heat for find but wouldn’t buy again

Bordesley green road

which lidl in Birmingham ?

I purchased one, I thought it worked really well but after a month it refused to charge and all 4 lights flashed. The store assistant didnt seem surprised when I returned it for a refund suggesting it was a common fault. Keep your receipt in case you're unlucky like I was.

Has anyone found a workaround for the NUS card now it's changed to Totum? Seems to be more regimented like UniDays now. My NUS runs out in 3 days and I'm getting tweeky at paying full price for the Mrs' post birth nipple pads lol.

The Leicester one was on Tuesday evening and highcross was open to students until 12am. NUS card worked there.

Will an NUS work ? They used to do these in Leicester just after everyone got their bursary but can't remember the T&C's and had a proper uni card, now I've got to pretend to be a student ;)

The Second being Dudley

Animal prison

I agree, however wher do you set them free? Man needs to stop killing them first. In March this year, The last wild Northern White Rhino male died, there are 2 females left. This basically would be another great animal extinct, this and many other species, if there werent some that are basically protected by being in zoos. Zoos need to change still, there are definitely issues with roaming space, but for now they are the only way species are surviving.

I don't know how they rare highly when everyone says the animals seem uncomfortable. I also went and felt the same. They look miserable.

Awful zoo last time I went there.

No i must admit i have not, this trip will be my first on the dreamliner 787, so lets hope my experience with them this year will be better. Most of my Air India flights have been internal ones apart from one flight from Delhi to London

Wherever happened to Bombay and Peking?

They do change quite regularly and have to keep watching the prices... I have picked up tickets for around 400-425 coming back just after the school holidays

Thanks for the tip - Turkish airlines did prompt for a £30 charge per person per flight for picking your own seat. Later found out about the 100 days thing (nerd)

You think Turkish airlines are better than AI!!Have you travelled in AI new planes? They are amazing.

Buy one get three free fireworks from Latifs Birmingham - £10

Buy one get three free fireworks from Latifs Birmingham

Sounds like most Northerners then ;)

Really? Mine were unreal this year! Saved myself a fortune and fireworks were off the hook! Definitely recommend Latifs!

There's a little Asian food warehouse in Leicester called Falcon and they do the same deal. Buy 1 get 3 free. Its not a mix and match type thing, it's a set pack. So rather than bogof, it should just be £10 for the 4 packs of fireworks. And on top of that, they are awful. Some unknown brand where the fuses wall out some of the rockets, and the multi shot cakes only half the shots go off. Went there once 8 ish years ago. Won't go back again.

Normal price £3 for the multishot so not a massive saving

Is it an instore only offer then? The website you link to was updated today and shows no such offer.

Other way is to park at the resorts worlds part rather than the grand designs part- as long as you spend £20 in one of the shops there (easily done) then parking is £2. If you def want to go GD then essentially you could say £18 off £20 spend at one of the shops there :/ (lol) (embarrassed)

No nothing, it will be really busy between stalls and walkways and apart from being able to take the sweets that most exhibitors have out, the kids will be bored senseless. TBH, it's usually that busy that I'm in two minds about going myself. OP heat added for the free tickets, managed 2 for Friday if I can go.

Yeah. They can scream and cry if they don't enjoy it.

Collect free pens? We achieved 26 last year. There were free sweets and goodies on a few stands too. My children enjoyed raiding the stalls stripping them of anything not tied down, but we wouldn't bother again this year (carparking is really expensive) It had a lot of tat being sold, and not much if you actually wanted to get information on building a "grand design".

Ord not a huge show, it’s only in one hall in Birmingham, as far as I’m aware it’s the same show around the country, I take my son as he loves Lego but it’s not worth the normal ticket price, if you wait a bit they do BOGOF which makes it better,

Thanks, didn't know about this show. Apparently it comes to Bournemouth in the south too, but I would guess is smaller there as it's a smaller site?

Simple Human drainer - £14.99 instore @ Latifs (Birmingham)
LocalLocalFound 15th SepFound 15th Sep
Available at M Latifs & Sons, Digbeth, Birmingham. For countertop use, it has a swivel spout that rotates in any direction to drain water directly into the sink.

I have a couple of these and whilst they are sturdy and work well the design is poor with regards to cleaning. The drained water is channeled into a trough which, I find, is difficult to clean properly and becomes quite manky after a while.

Bit old school, think I’ll stick to the catheter.

Didnt realise people still used belfast sinks until i just did a quick search, they actually look very nice integrated into a nice modern setup.

They do not, Belfast or undermounts don’t, I use one as my worktops not been routed and sealed yet
