Got one of these at the office and it works well, have used it for 3 years and it hasn't died yet. It's an electric burr grinder which produces a nice consistent grind.

My delonghi is packing up after a couple of years, thought it would last …My delonghi is packing up after a couple of years, thought it would last longer to be brutally frank. £50 is a bit out of my price bracket though

I've had a few of these cheap (sub £100) burr grinders and they just do not last long term if used everyday. They would be fine for occasional use but the motor will eventually lose torque and not have the oomph to start grinding. The most important part of any grinder is the motor and a decent motor on its own is expensive, no short cuts here. A good grinder can run its motor at relatively low speeds so as not to heat the grounds up too much and spoil the coffee and for this it needs very high amounts of torque. Do yourself a favour and invest in a decent grinder. I find that a good indication of whether a grinder (and lots of other items) is good or not is if you can buy lots of spare parts (burrs, motor, bits of casing, hopper etc.) for it easily.

A good grinder will make better coffee and is probably more important than the coffee machine itself. Get a good one and you won't regret it, even consider second hand as good ones are built to last. Don't expect to get anything decent for less than £100 though.

I've have TVs fixed and other stuff replaced at about the 4-5 year mark... after that it starts to get to be a very thick brick wall...Have a google around, there are a lot of webpages saying how to do it the easiest way, MoneySavingExpert could be a good start. You will probably need either the receipt or a credit card statement with the payment date on it, or some guarantee slip etc to prove the age and that you got it from them. If this model only came out on a certain date that can be enough to prove its not lasted long enough.Tescos might try and refuse or knock you back saying go to the manufacturer, this isn't strictly legal since its about the supply of goods of sufficient standard/quality. But you may end up having to go to the manufacturer in the end because you hit a brick wall you cant be bothered with.

great thanks for all of that info, I ordered online so I have the confirmation email etc. I've not got much on this weekend so I might try and get something done about it. Cheers

***AVOID***

If you're planning on using this for a sports watch/gps tracking avoid it like the plague. GPS does not work when the device is in contact with moisture (sweat, rain etc). Many posts on the internet about it. Far better with a garmin or tomtom if that;s your desired use for this piece of poo. it doesn't come with a native GPS tracker built in neither so you'd need to find one you like, but it would be a waste of time. A fix is to wear a sweatband under the watch but this only helps against sweat not rain.

As a smart watch it's not bad, does as you would expect. No HR though. I preferred the LG G Watch R but I've sold both on as I find wear pretty poor at the moment.

I've got the version of the travel mug with the french press lid (similar to the cafetiere in this offer) and it's the only travel mug I've ever owned that doesn't leak. It's not good enough to put in a bag, but on the handlebars of my bike it survives all kinds of craziness (including a crash).

I've had one had one the sets for about 3 or 4 years and the cafeteiere is still filtering as well as the day I bought it, whereas cheaper ones have started failing and letting through too much of the coffee grounds. The mug however cracked within days. No regrets though, the travel mug self for around £15 on it's own so this is still a good deal for the cafeteiere and travel mug on their own.
