Have the BBQ and use it a lot - it's compact, perfect for 2-3 people, and looks cute lol. Paid £18 a few years ago in TK maxx, and thought that was a pretty good price. Don't have the extras in this package so can't comment on their quality/value

D.J.Fryer

“Spend an extra £3.96 for free DHL delivery”. Interesting use of the word ‘free’. ;)

robodan918

Decent but no way the grill is worth much more than £40 and the instruments are cheap - I know I have some

The filter is a plastic one, not the permanent stainless steel type. I prefer the cafetiere to do doubleduty with tea as its better at keeping the leaves in.

:-) Glad you liked it... I heard it from the lady herself. Had to listen many times as most of it was ludiculously far side out...maybe that made it easier to swallow...

I think you over egged that story..... (y)

davening

Have heard of such like... I remembered their adopted daughter saying "Will we ever get to eat anything else?" So, the next day, the parents prayed asking the Lord to stop multiplying the chicken and they made up a curry or casserole with the neverending leftover roast chicken and the students ate and all took some home and family were very relieved.

Wear_The_Fox_Hat

Three mugs from a 350ml cafetiere . What's your next trick Den? Feeding the 5000 with a loaf and a fish? :/ (shock)

These are rubbish and leaks everywhere when the coffee cup is not upright because of the breathing hole.

I’ve always wondered if there was a trick to cleaning these? Rinsing down the sink seems somehow wrong yet almost impossible to scrape out fully! One of life’s little conundrums! Why I use Azera intenso I think!

One benefit of this is the reduced likelihood of finding discarded disposable barbecues deliberately left for others to clear up, or previously useable picnic benches charred up because some reprobate lacks the common sense to see that they will generate a lot of heat.

I can have 1 weak coffee a day, 2 pushing it. Any more and I get stomach issues, palpitations and insomnia. It's amazing how it can just happen out of no where.

saintagnes

Ah mate, I feel for you. I too developed a caffeine intolerance but just couldn't give up the brew. In the end I found if I mixed 50% caff and 50% decaff beans I got a brew that was a more or less 'acceptable' compromise.

malgail

Just a small note. I ordered a few things a month or so ago & it does take a while ( & a few emails ) for delivery. The items I ordered were dispatch from Portugal and that is where their customer support is. Other than that items arrived well packed etc & were extremely cheap.

callum84

Not on yet, but I'll drop you a link when it is. Will be selling Gaggia classic with PID mod, chrome mignon and loads of extras.

I don't think we really need cups in this country. Cupping your hands and a zen like reaction to pain should suffice.

Cremoso99

Yes they're OK for the price. Some people on Amazon say there are sharp edges on the handles so be careful.

Addikt

Just picked one up in Newbury, 2 or 3 left on the shelf

Cremoso99

No No they're not. Borosilicate is basically the same as Pyrex. Also what lab beakers are made of and they are heated with bunsen burners so hot coffee shouldn't be a problem.

Handled this item in Aldi this morning, looks and feels like absolute rubbish to me, wouldn't want it for 60p let alone 6 quid!! Don't be fooled just because of the name Bodum.

this one in this deal, is a plastic one, not steel. the steel ones are available on Amazon for around £13

The Bodum ASSAM SET Tea Press (1.5 L/51 oz) and Glasses (Double-walled, 0.25 L/8 oz) mentioned above is a bit cheaper now: £9.96 Used - Good £11.31 Used - Like New https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B003WT160Y/sr=/qid=/ref=olp_tab_used?ie=UTF8

louiselouise

Used the pot stand/warmer for the (coffee) cafetiere during the first few days, not ideal. Where I live I'm surrounded by small supermarkets and finding loose tea is a challenge (online recommendations that don't cost the earth would be welcome!!). Found Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Assam Loose Tea 125g for £1.50-ish in one of their small stores tonight, now drinking my first cup of tea from my Bodum Pot/Rechaud! A week later! Wonderful, flavoursome tea, and the pot is staying warm :) No more have appeared on Amazon Warehouse recently, afaik, anyway. Boyf has just seen it for the first time and said, "Wow, that was a bargain, it looks amazing" :) Edit: Not sure a tea light is the most effective way to heat this pot. I don't think it keeps the tea *quite* as warm as the tea stand/warmer we used originally (as there's more of a height difference with the Bodum version). The tea is still drinkable, though. Maybe trying a slightly taller votive candle is the way to go..

davening

I have received mine today and had my first cup of tea using it. Tore open a tea bag and tried that. How are you enjoying yours, louiselouise?

davening

Watery soup, that's some diet. Have off and on had a bag of organic carrots&apples juiced up plus barleygrass powder. Got it out of a diet book filled with testimonies of healings. The author's missus keeps amazing the opticians yearly as her eyesight is consistently improving. Hubby's eyesight is perfect now and his colon cancer disappeared very early on.

louiselouise

Cheers! Unfortunately no loose tea left so I've just been warming the cafetiere. (I rescued RTC PG Tips Loose Tea boxes from Tesco a while back, ran out now). My favourite Loose Tea was Imporient (my Deal from 2014 only got tepid), now known as Birchall, and could be had for £8-odd/1kg from Amazon but it's nearly twice the price now. Will try a bigger supermarket later - worst case scenario, I'll buy trusty Co-op 99 Loose Tea :) Caffeine and skimmed milk are about the only sinful thing in my life haha...especially with me being on a 500 calorie day and limited to eating watery soup :)
