It does look like a good buy at that price. (y)
Heh.. Yeye it was certainly "used" at the time of the photograph (y)
You've been had mate. Thats a customer return! Get back to Tesco and demand a refund! XD
Thats got an awful green lid. Not the same item at all. In fact I wouldnt but that monstrosity off ebay for free. Yuck!
Lovely fresh tea infused with full of plastic particles...yummy! Why is this so hot when can be purchased online inc. delivery cheaper elsewhere?
Be careful using the dishwasher on these, they seem to break in there after a while
Baileys with ice look great in these too!
I don't even drink coffee but for some reason i've ordered them (highfive)
Do I need more cups or glasses? :/ NO (embarrassed) She will like it so ordered 🙈
I did say in my post above but an espresso is 40ml, so the 80ml is a double, and a can of Coke is 330ml to give you an idea of the size of the 350ml ones.
It will take a tassimo latte
I would stick with Contigo
A 12oz 0.35l one. (devil)
What size Costa cappuccino would one of these hold?
I have had the Aldi one for six months and it has cracked in a couple of places which has impacted badly on the insulation properties. Would consider this stainless one instead.
Sorry, that wasn't the kind of joy cup I was expecting :|
Actual travel mug is isotherm see through plastic not stainless steel. Also cafetiere has black plastic lid
they had plenty of stock in mine so should be national!
Have some Heat from me🔥🔥 Gonna check my local Aldi's out for this ☕☕ Fab find Thanks (highfive) ;)
Bought this when it was £15 at argos a few months ago. Great value. The travel mug isn't completely watertight, so fine for walking or driving, but you can't just sling it in a bag when it's full.
The letters are in Cyrillic....can't post because the site don't like foreign characters.
You have to use the code 15NOV at checkout :)
Got this set from Amazon a couple of years back. The Bodum stainless steel cup is excellent - sits in the cupholder on my bike and barely leaks (unlike everything else I've tried). Has survived a crash and being dropped a few times. French press is a handy size as I'm the only coffee drinker in the house. I've never used the glass mug. Seems like a stupid idea.
Yes it is lool aaaaahhhh
Down to £7.49 now (y)
Just ordered and now gone down to £8.39. /facepalm
I bought a 1 cup version from TK Maxx. £7.99
Thanks need a new one.
I also had 2 of these and they broke. Also changed my vehicle and they didn't fit in the cup holder any more cis they're quite big. Really nothing but branding to these. Not worth the fiver imv
I have some too - they are excellent
Thanks, OP! Used one of these every day for the last couple of years. Excellent buy under £10, and a steal at £5!! (y)
I've had mine over 2 years...used everyday....still going strong.
Thanks, will check my local in the morning (y) 🏻
Got mine yesterday and gave it a try. It came with a surprise: a coffee spoon! This is perfect, as it is basically one cup of coffee per scoop of ground, and I like that the pot is 4 cup size (more like three cup for me, if you use larger cup)
i like costa, but only when it is on sale in Tesco. or lavazza. but be sure to not accidentally buy the ground coffee for espresso, and wait for 20 seconds or so after the water is boiled to pour into the pot to avoid scolding the ground coffee XD
Thanks, can you recommend good coffee to go with it
Hot ( coffee) deal (y) 😁
i totally agree op.hot (highfive)
Well, I for one am loving my first bean grinder! Thanks again OP.
Taste is subjective, but there's plenty of better instant coffee. Why you would grind your own coffee and mix with instant though if that's what you're suggesting I have no idea. Would be better I'd say to just get pre ground then. Or just grind and not mix with instant. Instant like Nescafe is bad for your health too. I rate Cafedirect. They sell pre ground or beans. I just buy the pre ground at the moment but want to get a grinder, but will probably get a Hario Skerton Pro if I can get a decent deal. A trick is also to attach an electric drill to a manual grinder. Much higher quality for the price. E.g. a £50 manual grinder and use a drill. Regarding minimalism mentioned earlier, a hand grinder like a Hario Skerton would fit the bill.
You can’t argue with their flavour though. man. 👌
WTF. And Nestle kill babies man: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestlé_boycott https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestlé#Controversy_and_criticisms
Hi, I like to mix my fresh ground coffee 50/50 with Nescafé gold blend. Would you recommend this for my needs? Thanks.
Bought from Sheffield xtra
Seen these in Tesco Prescot too. Looks like to be nationwide in Extra Stores
Available at the Meadows in Camberley, but for £10 instead Edit: labelled as £10, checkout shows £8!
what's wrong ? a Tesco deal with stock in multiple locations....
i went for an altogether more durable solution and it cost around the same too
Morrisons has a similar one 4 pounds and the bigger one 6
Curry's often let you reserve and at the store they have no stock. Plenty of stock in Sainsburys with many on offer between £6 and £8.
Pretty poor from Curry's. I reserved the item from a store 20miles away, on arrival I was told they didn't have my reservation and hadn't picked the item. Having checked their stock I was told they didn't actually have any! Thanks Curry's!
For when Windows updates, go make a coffee...
How do these compare to peculator coffee?
coffee is not that bad if you want it for some days away from home... it is not for regular use
Thanks for the info :)
And the so called coffee it makes is even worse.
the coffee press is really bad
^not sure if serious etc :/
Feeling hot hot hot
was on for hardly any time so not that significant - not that the deal is good as its basically standard price
Agree if you want it now and cannot wait, but it was only 2 weeks ago so good chance it's going to pop up again at £7.50
We Gotta go back Marty ........
Picked this up 2 weeks ago for £7 odd from Amazon. Cold https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/bodum-caffettiera-8-cup-french-press-coffee-maker-red-10-l-34-oz-750-prime-1199-non-prime-amazon-3020297
I imagine plunging it down will prevent much further extraction - the combination of a metal filter meeting compressed coffee grounds with most of the liquid squeezed out. Anyway, these come with a normal lid too - like the non travel press version. So if you can get this on offer it makes sense, even for the novelty. Waiting for the black one to fall in price. As would like a new travel cup. Mixed reviews about how well the normal lid actually works though.
It's generally recommended to brew French Press coffee for around 4 minutes so wouldn't have thought this would give you a nice tasting cup of coffee as the coffee would probably be over extracted/bitter, more so toward the bottom of the cup
I have ground coffee at work too. I prefer using a proper cafetiere and a proper mug to drink out of, though. Call me old-fashioned.
At work I have a bag of ground coffee in the fridge. Add a scoop of that, boil the kettle and you’ve very quickly got a big cup of proper coffee.
Hello all Where I work the coffee is so bad I bought the plastic version, and my own ground coffee. It fell apart, after 2 years. So I replaced it with the stainless steel one. My only complaint is it stays too hot, it's drinkable after a half hour or so. It saves on washing up. And as a man, that's good for me :) .
I had one of these.once you've pressed the coffee you have lost 25% of the capacity of the cup. I found that grounds escaped the mesh and got into the coffee, and if left longer than 20-30 mins the coffee became very dark and overdone, like old filter coffee. It was a pain to wash at work also.
I have this and it's pretty good. Would recommend.
I’ve used one at work for three years. It’s excellent. Makes lovely proper coffee - not at all ‘stewed’ as you’re not leaving it alone for ages like a cafetière - it’s a cup of coffee - you make it and you drink it. Lid makes an excellent seal too. I’ve knocked it over many times and not a drop spilt. By the way, the extra lid is without the press bit, so it’s also good for tea.
THis will be fine if you like badly stewed coffee ...
Turns out the metal version with extra lid is also at it's cheapest price for a while. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/bodum-travel-french-press-coffee-maker-set-stainless-steel-with-extra-lid-vacuum-035-l12-oz-red-1722-non-prime-3030629
On Amazon, If you list multiple variations of the same product, then all the reviews get grouped together for all the products. That’s why it might seem pretty high. Just a thought.
Bodium is quality, despite the alleged fake reviews
