Seems pretty cheap to me, I know these have been around £290 more recently. Dispatched and sold by Amazon too.

Back up to £299 so deal expired.

This is a nice price. Got given these as a gift. I tried a lot of ANC headphones on including xm3s (which I initially really wanted) but so many were just massive and were slipping and sliding all over my head. It seems a lot of these companies don't design headphones that fit womens' smaller heads. The 700s were by far the best fit as they can adjust down to a smaller sized head.

This is a good price. As much as I love the Sonys, I think they look bland and are not quite as comfy as the 700s.

Yeah i meant that to me 2 devices is the biggest upgrade the xm4 bring over the xm3. I don't mind pressing pause but I bet if I got used to the new auto pause feature I couldn't live without it. This guy compares microphones and the bose 700 still beat the xm4 it seems. But all around no doubt the xm4 win on everything else except current price l.

No worries. Apparently the update caused loads of issues and reportedly bricked some pairs! If I didn't like them so much I might have returned them. It's a shame that a company the size and pedigree of Bose can't add basic functionality on their flagship product. Hopefully the XM4s will give them some new drive to fix/improve their competition to them.

Black ones seem to be out of stock most places at the moment. Anyone would have thought the new Sony's are dropping in 2 weeks with this sort of reduction ;) Great headphones though and worth the purchase IMHO.

Great price seeing as these are limited edition. Looking for the black ones around this price, can't pull off this colour

That's windows 10 Bluetooth drivers being rubbish rather than the headphones. You could either attempt to find correct drivers, or you could buy a cheap USB Bluetooth dongle (small, discrete) so you can connect to that - Bose are actually releasing these headphones with a usb dongle and labelling it the UC version (Unified Comms) for this exact reason. It's amazing how laptops are so far behind smartphones in some aspects.

Looking for good price on these for audio books, movies and conference calls. Just bear in my mind, the mics no matter how good are around your ears so if you run virtual sessions (eg training, or high profile presentations etc) then these will pale next to a bog standard boom mic headset (jabra, plantronics etc). It's just physics. People on proper mics sound closer, there's little background or spitting or heavy breathing going on. I think they'll be fine for regular meetings though.

Got a pair of these yesterday as I'll be at home working till the end of year. ANC is brilliant and great on conference calls. I like that I can connect it to my mac and phone at the same time. Perfect to drown out a 2 year old toddler running around and the wife..... :D Music is great too. I'm no pro on headphones but it sounds really good compared to my airpods/Samsung buds.

Thank You

You are the butt if all jokes on here tempt. This is your funniest comment yet. Beats better than Bose. Hahahahahhahahahahahhahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha

lol, only apple users can praise beats products, lol.

Head-fi can be a tough crowd, but you may as well post something relevant to the headphones on discussion here. The last post on the link you sent was from 2011. This is a better read about the quality fo these headphones

And you think that audiophiles like beats? What world do you live in? Audiophiles prefer open cans to closed ones, they don't care about NC, wireless, battery life, comfort etc, as much as they care about sound. Also, their community is a hipster rabbit hole, audiophiles go to crazy lenghts with their setups, don't take their word for granted.

Might be my useless phone. *mumblesexpletives

I bought these from Amazon Germany last week. I think they shipped from UK because they were with me less than 20 hours after I placed my order. They are good as all the reviews point out. I think the most amazing thing about them is their call quality - crystal clear audio coming in and the other side people can hear me very well even when I am walking around.

I have tried them they were good but call.quality is important for me so sony are a no go based on reviews.

Yes market leading at 36h about 2h to charge. Used them all day and they remained high in battery levels. Bose are about 20h in real terms with anc on. The jabra were good but i had this issue. I had this. Think it was a manufacturer fault. Hoped the firmware would fix but no, it was ok with anc on or off but terrible using hearthrough.

If you are basshead Sonys are way better

But the 700 does look less bulky

Thanks for info appreciated Strange as people’s views on here when I’ve been browsing say the 700 aren’t as good as 35-2. The 700 do look flimsy though to me

most articles prefer the 700 just the price was an issue. It has bluetooth 5 so you can paired with 2 devices at once say a laptop and a phone but only play audio from one device. I bought mine from John Lewis yesterday very happy with them so far. It was out of these as the Sony WH-1000XM3. For me personally I preferred the fit of the bose, that's something people will have to try for themselves.

From what I’ve read the QC35-2 are better which is a shame

Have spent months testing and reading up on all of the top end sony, b&o , Bose over ear noise red. Headphones. I went into 3 different stores today and ended up talking to the Sony and Bose reps in large John Lewis. One thing they both agreed was that in the end, choosing what sound you want from the high end headphones is depending on what you like to hear , with everyone having a different requirements. I realise the most popular are the Sony xm3s, but I prefer these. It was exactly the same when people used to buy separate Hifi amps and speakers

Cue the my headphones are better than, blah blah blah mob. Yawn.

Really trying to decide on these, the QC 35 II's or Sony WH-1000XM3's. From trying them all out in a John Lewis store I'd say: QC35 ii's are easily the most light and comfortable. 700's easily has the best call quality and flexible headband. XM3's has the best noise cancelling.

For Bose products with 2 year Bose guarantee- not really. If you want to try and return then YES. Then why buy, go to shop and try... save everyone the hassle including oneself!

During the Black Friday season it’s better to buy from a reliable site than this one you mentioned.

I believe you'd need to check if Bose would honour the manufacturer's warranty. I'm not sure if they're obliged to, as your contract is with the seller. I bought an S7 once (from the Amazon Spain site) and Samsung were happy to consider it under their warranty. If not you'd still be covered by (assuming the seller is and not a 3rd party seller), but you might incur some costs sending it over to them as Amazon UK wouldn't support it I believe. Worth having a chat with them to see if they would cover postage. I had to post mine back and they covered costs up to a certain limit at least in that instance. I was also able to request support in English. Ofc I don't know how Brexit could affect this.

I know these Amazon DE deals come up regularly, but what's the deal with warranty when ordering like this? Is it a complete nightmare?

That hits my trigger price point. Many thanks @kris1234. £249.20 for me on Revolut 😃

Bragi Dash Pro. I see a fair few wearing over ears in the gym which got me thinking, maybe a silly idea and best to stick to in ear for working out.

Over ear in the gym! What buds are you using?

Noise cancelling is excellent, comfort is good but not on the same level as the Sony XM3 or Bose QC35 II, build quality is excellent. Sound quality is quite poor compared with Sony XM3 or any other high level headphones. The sound deteriorates significantly at higher volumes with complete loss in bass quality (just becomes a reverb mess). At Mid levels, the sound quality is quite neutral and generally acceptable.

I had a demo today and I am tempted to grab a pair of these for the gym, sound quality was very nice. I am currently using in ear wireless buds and was wondering if it would be a good switch.

Firstly, comparing the Bose to the Sony isn't like comparing a Ferrari to a Renualt Clio More like a BMW with an Audi They're in the same segement and price range really. To extend the analogy, the B&O H9 would be a segment up - such as a Porsche. They cost quite a bit more Secondly, while plenty of stuff is subjective, the discussion can be useful. I find some member's comments on goods really helpful, and to make an informed decision about whether I want to buy something. See my comments regarding the Bose. For £40 more you can buy the Sennheiser which will likely have better sound quality, supports AptX HD and AptX-LL, and also supports bluetooth multi-point, unlike the Sony. Personally it's what I'd buy, as the Bose won't be any good for watching media (the audio will be out of synch), and they likely won't sound as good. Support or lack of support of codecs isn't subjective. And being made aware of other models (many may not have been aware of the new Sennheisers) is also useful. Also, comments regarding other alternatives does not mean that person voted cold. I haven't voted on the deal. It does meet my criteria that it seems to be the best price - but I don't see it as a great deal as returns could be a hassle with it being Amazon Germany, and if I were to spend £309 on headphones - spending £350 doesn't make much of a difference - I'm not going to feel that £41 in the long run, but will notice the difference in the headphones every day. It's not a massive saving, and there are arguably much better options out there. I'd go for the Sennheiser Momentums myself. But I need to see if they'll fit my ears.

The Sennheisers support multi bluetooth connections too

Vote however you like. That's the point of this place.

Would "best price for a given service" not back up my point though? Its the best price for that product/service? Would you vote cold on a half price Ferrari becuase the functionality is done a lot cheaper on a Renault Clio? I just think arguing about what is the best product in that range is counter productive on a deal site as ultimately it is subjective. In this case I've tried both the Sony and the Bose and prefer the latter. That opinion is of course subjective so I would never expect anyone with a differing opinion to be wrong - therefore, saving £40 off RRP of this product should make this a good deal.

What does the temperature mean on a deal? The temperature indicates the opinion of the community on a deal: each member can give a positive vote ("hot") or negative (“cold") and their votes add up to give a higher or lower temperature. A deal with a high temperature is therefore acclaimed by the community: good value for money, best price for a given service, interesting offer. This temperature is subjective and indicative: you can often find an interesting deal for yourself even if the community did not rate it well, and vice versa. Remember, if you’re voting on someones deal it’s common courtesy to leave a polite comment, especially if you voted negatively. From the horse's mouth.

Crikey. You are an addict!

Ohhh, new Sennheiser Momentum Wireless are out: They look chunkier than the old ones. Perhaps not as good looking. But hopefully that means bigger earcups. I thought the Momentum Wireless sounded excellent. Just the earcups were too small for my large ears.

These don't even have AptX LL do they? Still nothing tops my Definitive Technology Symphony 1s for tech and sound quality. I hace AptX LL, USB DAC playback (you can connect them using a USB cable and play using the onboard DAC), big earcups, excellent soundstage and rich sound. Negatives are not as good battery life, not as good ANC, and not as comfortable or light. But the audio and tech is still ahead. They're now discontinued, but you could (and perhaps can again) get them for as low as around £120 from Amazon. These don't fold and don't have AptX LL I believe. Do they even have AptX? I remember being schocked by some major omission like that. Bit ridiculous really - as they're clearly their new premium offering. But they look overly plasticky and lack major features one would expect from premium BT ANC headphones. The B&W PX look much nicer - but they have their own issues. I will admit the QC35 are the most comfortable BT ANC headphones I've tried. But they looked cheap, and didn't sound very impressive. I don't get the Bose heat - because I don't think they're very good for sound. What Bose were legendary for was their ANC and comfort - making them the ideal travel headphone. But now Sony have better ANC according to some. It's certainly comparable. Edit: Yeah, they don't even have AptX Let alone AptX LL So no good for gaming or watching media. And lower sound quality. What a fail

These look dreadful :D
