hi, looking to buy either of the above headphones but looking for recommendations. Has anyone here tried both and if so which do you prefer?
c_mmxx

QC 45 is announced, available to preorder and less than two weeks from release: https://www.bose.co.uk/en_gb/products/headphones/noise_cancelling_headphones/quietcomfort-headphones-45.html#v=qc45_black ASR and crinacle both rate the Bose a little higher. I think I would probably wait for the QC45 or try and get a deal on the QC35.

MrHappyGilmore

Qc35 by a long shot for comfort. The Sony's clamp too hard for my liking and are very uncomfortable after 30 mins

XM3s mate - better sound quality in my opinion and were more than comfortable The Bose are lighter in weight, but I preferred the sound from the Sony Currently have the Xm4s, and if your budget can stretch, would highly recommend those. I got mine for £220 recently following some random offers via here

Azwipe

Owned the XM4 and the Bose QC35II, now only own the Bose. Sony don't even come close for comfort and sound is fine on both.

MrChaunceyGardiner

Very comfortable indeed.

I have an old pair (new at the time) of Sony Bose QuietComfort 15 noise-cancelling headphones. But the noise cancelling isn't that good anymore. It could be to do with the fact tha… Read more

Yup, meant Bose. Got carried away with looking at alternatives! Do you mean won't be able to get replacement pads for £30ish?

DJDools

Can't see the Ankers for less than £45 at the mo. Are they superior in terms of Noise Cancelling?

RadiantDuck

Probably Anker q20's are you best bet for bang for buck. Sony and bose are very different companies. It would be like a Samsung iPhone 12

dipsylalapo

Never heard of the Sony Bose headphones ;) You won't be able to buy new Sony or Bose NC headphones for £30 so it's worth looking at getting replacement pads. Alternatively, look at just headphones with good fit. It's amazing how much sound can be blocked out by well fitting headphones

Let me know how you get on

Good to hear. I was set on the 85t’s too, and had only just found out about the Bose so wanted to see if there was any reason to change my mind. But I’m gonna stick with the Jabras.

Amroze0

I went with them 85t due to them being being very small and compact. They have a big soundstage and anc is excellent!
