Ah, might be a bit tight. You do have a bit of say in how far out it goes by how high you push the bottom centre sleeve, a bit like putting up an umbrella. Higher it goes, the wider, but that might still be a challenge within that space. Unless your neighbours fences are low in which case it could go over the top & they could collect your washing in for you. :D We have the Minky double washing line pull out one too (auto recoils on a spring, type which you can lock in tension) as backup & can recommend that. That would work. Need a post or similar for hooks, but probably not what you want.
Great product and accessories, had it for years, defo worth the price. Beware that installing the spike is hard work indeed and you'd need to make sure you can go that deep!
Fence post auger is very handy for the spike. Obviously that is if you can borrow one from someone
Been waiting for a good price, ordered! I have some postcrete and intend to conrete in my post :)
Pay (confused) mine is a business expense or you can always go with someone who is as member.
These bin liners are expensive but are excellent quality. They don’t break or leak and fit the Brabantia bin perfectly. We use 1 a week. Have seen them cheaper in the past but polymer prices are high at the moment.
You didnt even check? Just because I use simplehuman products doesn't mean that I'll overpay badly for their soap. There is a secret: brabantia bin can ve used with other liners too :)
Do they fit a Brabantia Bin?
I use these and have to say that they are worth the money. Very strong, perfect fit and easy to tie. They aren't cheap but are much better than the supermarket bin liners that I used to buy. Heat from me (y)
Aye, I've had the hose out and resorted to the back end of an axe! Giving up now til the morrow!
I think I got it in spring when the ground was nice and soft. We haven't had much rain recently so unless it's been watered the ground will be hard as rock. I'd give it a good soak with a hose and try tomorrow (y) I also used a big club hammer not a mallet 🔨
Did you find it to be a right nightmare to hammer in? I'm struggling with a mallet and piece of wood as per the instructions!

Yes took me close to an hour but just dug around and then filled in with compacted soil.
I've only 2 weeks ago, so time will tell but seems to be, I hammeree the soil around it to compact it in. I believe it will be, as it's quite deep
Has anyone had any success getting the ground spike into the ground without giving up the will to live?!
Could you expand on this please. Is the metal ground-spike strong enough in soil (without using postcrete/postmix) - or did fellow members find that over time - it began to tilt? Trying to work out if I really need to go through all the extra time & expense of 'concreting' it in.
I wish I hadn’t bought this now. I’ve just spent an hour doing my ironing, not my usual Saturday. On the other hand the ironing board was very sturdy. Even happy with the Phillips Azure Iron I bought from Costco early last year. First time it’s been used.
I've seen them many times, but they are over £70 or £80 on Amazon.
Feels really well made and sturdy. Good premium surface too. Never thought I'd be somewhat excited over an ironing board lol.
I’ll be getting one tomorrow.
In the cart!

Brabantia Lift-O-Matic 50m 4-Arm Rotary Airer with Ground Spike £54.99 Click & Collect, using code @ Robert Dyas£54.99£6515% offRobert Dyas Deals
It’s more about drying in a smaller area, than quicker. But depending on how you load it, it can spin in the wind which at least off-sets the layers of items drying.
Had one of these at our old house & need a new ground fitting for it now we’ve moved. Is a super useful was of getting lots of line-space for drying, without taking up lots of garden.
Fellow long term HDUKer', seeking help from the community. I need a Brabantia rotary airer with a 5cm centre pole. The support tube was set in concrete years ago and is still good. I think the 'ADVANCE' model does have a 5cm centre pole - but I want to find/wait-for a good deal. I'm happy to wait a bit - but I'm asking where & when deals for the 'ADVANCE' model normally turn up?
Never had one of these, ive got a regular washing line. Do things take much longer to dry?
£57.50! But click and collect only and no stock anywhere near me.
60L from Dunelm for £60 is a better deal.
I got a touch bin after being fed up with the foot pedal ones making marks on my walls as they move every time I press the pedal. I leave this one open when I'm cooking/tidying in the kitchen, wipe it & wash my hands after use, so not a germ fest. And no more marked walls!
thanks for letting us know.
Don’t understand “touch” bins.. germ fest

Bought black one from Amazon for similar price, great quality and sturdy
Damn it. If I don't log onto this website every 1 hour I kiss things. This is exactly what I needed. Gutted
:( just went out of stock .. great deal for those who got it.
Great bin and great customer service, as stated. Had to buy a replacement catch, though. We just use regular black bin bags in there (we have a metal inner inside; can't remember if this is standard or from an old one)
Ah, I just wanted regular steel, nevermind.
