"engineered in Germany to last up to seven years" some strange marketing that, seven years isn't very long. my philips has been going for about 10 now with a few head replacements! good deal though!

eamonn.murphy

In store they are the same price. Just got a 7898cc for £82.50. Very good price as far I can see. Thanks for the post.

Definitely. I was disappointed when the Tories got the last election, but on the flip side, it was better that jammy, sit-on-the-fence Corbyn didn't become PM either. Such a weak opposition that hardly ever proposed solutions, just criticised. That's not how the shadow government works.

PhilK

Oh, I'll certainly agree about the Tories being the main cause of rising prices over the years, not the fault of doddering Boris though who is out of his league as PM but you look around and theres no-one any better in ANY party these days. The Labour party's been hijacked by pressure groups and self adoring student halfwits, the Tories are delighted with that as it puts their worthless hides in government every time, the Lib-Dumbs are still whining about Brexit to the exclusion of everything else. And we are yet again the only ones that lose out

MildmanneredCalvin

No I'm actually referring to how the price of everything has ballooned disproportionately over the past 30 to 40 years. Overall I blame the Tories. Not just now. Reduced cost of living is the one thing I can get behind Bozza for.

PhilK

Yes, but some more than others but you blame Boris for this do you ? I'm no Tory (far from it) but it's been going on since Boris was still at school I'll take a wild guess you're a remainer ? (lol) So essentially you think that Brexit should have delivered before it's even started (Europe are STILL demanding their pound - more like ton - of flesh even now) yet you happily ignore how everything rose in price constantly while in Europe

MildmanneredCalvin

The deep cleaning uses an alcohol based cleaner. It'll evaporate pretty fast when done.

Just spent £10 travelling to the nearest Argos to pick it up and they gave me a Series 3. Some mixup as this model no longer available on their website. At least the manager gave me £20 from the till to compensate ;-) I've had one of these for years this was a replacement (battery died, then it died again a few months after replacing battery. Had to replace power brick as that died as well). These aren't that well built but I'm invested in the Braun Series 7 ecosystem now (clean and renew, foils etcl) and that shave is good)

Does seem very good value for both the foil n cutter. I use Philips rotary shavers and the heads need changing after about only 6 months sometimes.

NewForestMonkeyBrains

In response to above, You got me doubting myself on this, so i checked. It seems it does do both jobs, a foil and a cutter included. The replacement head is currently £25.48 on Amazon. I thought you had to buy a new head and new cutting blades as well to keep the shaver working well?

On the “new” models they have apparently as paint would come off or something if you used the renew & protect systems

Vomit

Have they ditched the renew & protect stations?

bringbring

Amazing, thank you. Was holding out on this over the leadup to Christmas and ended up saving £10 :)

afroylnt

Very good deal.
