Any accommodation is likely to be judged by its latest reviews, as a lot can change over time.:{

NeoTrix

In all fairness to reviews, on Trip Adviser there currently 2.058 reviews with an average of 4/5 With similar reviews across multiple review sites, based on that, I'd personally feel I'd be happy to stay there. Each to their own though, of course :)

Sounds lovely: Trip Advisor review from today: Gents changing area. Old £1 coins required for lockers or token, floors need scrubbing due to ingrained dirt, only one urinal working, the shower cubicles drains smelt awful and a rusty nail hole where the shower gel holder should be in one of the cubicles. Jacuzzi and pool was ok but when I went inside the large steam room the temperature seemed low and it smelt dirty with brown gunge around the floor where it meets the tiled seats, it appears unhygienic and needs a good scrub! The sauna was good but when I tried the snail showers afterwards both had their shower heads split around the edges and therefore the water was hitting the wall and not the occupant. Overall a disappointing visit this evening and it clearly needs some attention by both management and maintenance. Positive was that the staff seemed friendly and on seeing the “spa” facility going into the changing area it looks quite impressive and organised although I didn’t use it.

Some people might want a night away from work, friends, kids etc really nice hotel

Nothing wrong with it at all. Stayed on similar deal a few weeks ago. Friendly staff, decent leisure facilities, absolute bargain for what you get. Oh, and it's not in Nottingham, it's in NottinghamSHIRE on the opposite side of the M1 to Nottingham.

eastwood hall is a wedding factory. a soulless hotel in a mostly awful area of nottingham. might be a deal at half this price, but i'm not sure why anyone who isnt attending a wedding or conference there would choose to spend time there....

Stayed here on work trips a few times. Always lots of old people. Nice place though and good food. Rooms are always ridiculously warm. Maybe thats why theres always loads old people though. Heat added as good deal.

It's right next to Designer Village. So you can stock up on cheap designer clothing. https://outlets.mcarthurglen.com/en/uk/designer-outlet-east-midlands/stores/

Jinkz

That's fair enough, i'd probably need a new bed halfway through the night, nobody like sleeping in their own sea fairing men (embarrassed)

UncleWilly

Here we go again.... As usual with these type of hotel deals, the description is misleading. It claims the hotel is "near" the Peak District then goes on to say it's actually 35 minutes drive away - that's not near! To me, the word "near" implies that it's within walking distance - not everybody drives a car. And far from the idyllic rural retreat it's painted as, the actual location is in the rundown former pit village of South Normantan right next to the M1. Cold.

Thank you for confirming you are a troll. No mention of car crime on tripad.... (famous review site) reviews of hotel. No recent reports of city centre car crime in local press. Your comment could have been "be aware no parking at Dundee" - still would have been weird why you would say that about 1 city centre hotel out of a big list but fair enough.

edinburgher

Don’t know any personally but read the Courier

scottishpunter

Didn’t realise a Pizza Express was a sign of gentrification, better tell the council to add one to the billions been spent on the waterfront! Out of interest how many people do you actually know whose car has broken into, mine is zero. Lazy historical stereotyping

edinburgher

Not a Leither so not being partisan .At least that part of Leith has been ‘gentrified’ and is an area with lots of restaurants and wine bars. Dundee, where I often visit for work, is still pretty rundown and has very few decent places to eat. They don’t even have a pizza express!!

scottishpunter

Be aware the Edinburgh one is in Leith, 20 minutes from centre of Edinburgh. Heard Trainspotting was filmed there! Pot / Kettle! (annoyed)

This is a great offer. Stayed here before in this room type but never used spa or pool. I did have to ring the company to get the quoted offer but they honoured it with a £2.50 booking fee. Thanks for posting!

trickyb1967

I too am local and can't for the life of me think of the council estate that you drive through to get to it, if you come from the motorway (which most people will) then you only drive past houses that are approximately £400k+. My own view is that it is a nice enough place but that the food is over-priced, that shouldn't put anyone off though as the meals are included.

Burbage.Fox

Many properties £500k + I’d happily live nearby and I only live 10 minutes walk away. Hotel is decent

johnnyd57uk

Sounds dreadful. Wont be going there anytime soon.

Kevin_Wilkinson

I stayed here last week. Nothing wrong with the place, in fact I would say it was quite upmarket. I don't think its a council estate you drive through either LOL, You would'nt get much change from 2 or 300,000.

Because if you put the word “Luxury” on in script people won’t bother to read through the ingredients list and find out all the crap that’s in it.

Free glass of cider on arrival?

Bugeyed

Not that you’d go through Yeovil to get to Hazelbury Mill, Yeovil is just not an exciting place. But it is the nearest decent town centre as Crewkerne, the nearest town is an experience most would rather forget. If you’re lucky, and stay at the mill, you might get a music night. The owner (if it’s still Roger Bastable) knows Jools Holland very well and often hosts some decent up and coming blues or jazz musicians. It’s also well known as a wedding and honeymoon destination. It’s location is within reach of tourist attractions such as the famous coastal town of Lyme Regis, some great national trust sites such as Montacute house, and of course, cider farms galore all over the county.

MBCH

Is Yeovil a nightmare for traffic.....or just not a very nice place?

jumpinoffthbed

75 quid a night seems a lot for Somerset to me. But after looking at the pictures I suppose it's a good deal if your a girl, or getting a present for a girl, or trying to get somewhere with a girl.. or can't think of a better present for a girl.. When does this offer expire?

I had my prom there a few years back. Very nice place. Good price too for a short break. AVOID YEOVIL at all costs.
