Went to Riga few years ago and can't remember there being much to see. I imagine it will be pretty miserable in November, good price tho if you have a reason to go.

Yeah, only once have I been caught out with no fast passes for the mazes, never again. They also open them about 4 and a queue starts around 2:30pm! I never got that. People queuing an hour and a half to avoid a queue, only to go through during daylight hours. Makes no sense. Fast passes usually cost about £15-£20 but just go on their website for all the other information dude, its all there.

Brownbloke11

Staying at a Travelodge is a fright enough. No need for Thorpe Park.

TallYoda

Thanks for replying. 2-3 hours?! That's crazy! How much are the fast passes, and can they be bought online, on the day, or both do you know? How much time do they save per house/maze? Do you know how much Contagion costs, and if it's worth the extra?

americanonpurpose

They don't cost any extra, or at least they haven't for the last 10 years. Containment being an exception where you have been able to pay to do this alone in the past. All in all, for a UK Halloween event it isn't bad. Worth the money but if you've ever been to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando or LA then you're in for a crash landing. If not, it is good fun. Although be prepared to have to encounter over hyper teens from the Staines area while in the queues. Which brings me onto Fright Nights maze fast passes, I can't recommend them enough. The queues can easily hit 2-3 hours for each house /maze on a Saturday night.

LesD

Oh dear. I see we're back to PP pricing again. For heavens sake, tell it how it really is! Otherwise I'll start posting offers for Jaffa Cakes at 5p each!

I went in late July for my daughter's birthday. If you are sensible with the first few rides you go on you can get 3 premium rides done quite quickly. We got on the larger dragon ride 3 times in 20 mins. We stayed in a hotel on this deal one night.

nervous_pilchard

We just came back from a one night 2 day stay and it was not worth it. I purchased Qbots for the 1st day and was not worth the money. The rides are under whelming, the food is substandard, the queues are horrific and the shops are ridiculously expensive. But do you know what. The kids LOVED IT. and it's all about them I guess. I would say never go in holidays, buy cheapest tickets you can and don't dine at the buffet. That would make everyone happy.

jayonline85

Half term at end of October costs more than we paid in the summer holidays. Maybe because of it being around Halloween.

mane1034

really bad experience - may be due to peak season. ..... they sell too many tickets... wasted £250 .... kids were disappointed and wait was average an hour... will not go there. sorry

waynebeetison

As others have said, run to the back of the park, we always manage to get on about 5/6 rides in the first hour.

I'm 60 soon and long since retired. So this post seems even weirder. But... Are you saying it's not in the UK's interests to educate its citizens? Or are you saying the government shouldn't subsidise anything? Because it does. Loads and loads of industries and things get loads and loads of government money. We pay out more in corporate subsidies than we get back via corporation tax for instance. My own family has done well from farming subsidies because some of them are old land owners. I personally think investing in educating kids is probably a smart idea, especially given the self-sufficient route a lot of people seem to be pushing for these days.

Since when has tattoos and being a meat head got anything to do with how your food is cooked/what they do to it ? I mean do you ask to see the cook/chef at all eateries you visit so you can evaluate their tattoos that they may or may not have ?

Not being funny but have you seen the state off the staff??? That meathead with the tattoos probably does something really nasty to the food!
