oops just realised it's £174 not £147 sorry. I looked on several other websites and they were all selling it at £600 + so looks to be a genuine reduction.
for those after a better make, there's a 36v Makita (bare)with £600 off rrp on a well known site that's apparently banned on here, don't know why they were banned as it's a well known tool and supplies company who I've used several times and they are reliable. selling for £147 incl vat and delivery. Good if you've already got the 36v makita battery or the Makita adaptor that lets you use 2 x 18v batteries will presumably fit.
don't want to mention the site in case I get banned too but just Google 'Makita 36v brush cutter sale' and it should come up

well found I couldn't find it anywhere £51 was previous price and is now £45 in store.
Appears to be same price online

Down from £80. The 18v is still selling for £56. Can't fond the 36v battery online though.

Have some heat.
