Never had to use the microwave or anything and my wife was worried about the heat as well but no complaints from her. Plus if you’re having milk you’ll be using the stream wand to froth it up. Steam = Hot. I drink espressos from it which are plenty warm enough. Also to some one else’s comments about weak coffee, you’re either buying the wrong coffee or not using the machine correctly. Buy espresso strength 5 and have the strength on the machine between 3/4 and full.
You'll probably wake people up, I can't use it for early morning starts. Its loud enough to interrupt conversations, whilst grinding and pumping when switched on (unless you leave it on all the time :/ . But starts quickly, makes great coffee and if the reviews are to be believed, will last a while.
Yeah that's my reasoning. If I'm up first with one kid don't want to wake anyone else up making a coffee. Usually get away with using the Nespresso machine without waking anyone but wasn't sure if that'd be the case with this.
You see all kinds of reviews on places like argos etc where people complain about the noise of kitchen appliances, why is it an issue? I don't think you're wrong i'm just genuinely curious, do you not want to disturb others in the house?
I have this model paid similar 9 months ago, does the same as my 1200 pound Jura
