as per post I have used all available on market including CS it is not dust free, when it gets wet and starts to dry it solidifies I have to scrape it from the bottom of the tray, and isles I am doing something wrong, after just two bags I got tired of cleaning it also it sprays dust when I pour it in the tray, that is not be good for anyone. I have also used the expensive one for sophisticated cats which looks like gel, cant remember the name yet still not good plus its expensive.

also used store's own and other branded ones, this does it for me all the time. It not just hides the smell, it is 100% dust free and it just slides out of the tray. and when I fill it the tray is large one, the cats used it more than two times at least. Also when I am out i fill up the fray and come back in late in the evening is all looks good.

Most hygienic like I said in the OP.

Plus when the cats do the poo and splatter the bitterroot of the tray i) the dusty ones are harder to clean off ii) the bio CL just pick of the floor and just wipe the floor with a wipe.

I wouldn't compost this when the slightest chance of worms in the mix.
You can buy meat-bone-dog/cat poo composters, which are double walled bins that are half-buried in the soil, heated by the sun, and different bacteria break down the contents into the surrounding soil.
Or dig a hole, bury this stuff, cover and move on. But I wouldn't put in in my veg plot compost.

This is the cheapest I have ever seen this, usually £10.99, £13.99 in my local pet shop. Really works well with a filter litter tray
Blimey that's a great price. But.. the stuff I normally get is only £7.99 and made locally. Do I feed the Amazon monster or not?

Yes, the pellets break down and just fall through the filter into the bottom tray. Then you just empty the bottom.

This is really good litter and I happily get it at the usual price, so this is well worth stocking up on if I hadn't just bought 60ltrs worth last week :-(
Heat added! I have this on subscribe and save and normally pay a tenner a month. I noticed amazon have adjusted the price for my next delivery

Unless you acquired your cats from the wild or from friends/neighbours/acquaintances who don't use this stuff, pretty much every cat in the UK will have used this type of wood pellet litter when they were kittens. It is a long time since I have seen any other type used by breeders, catteries, vets or cat rescue centres, and so most adult cats are imprinted to use it even if they are 'outdoors' cats. My local cat rescue centre buys it by the tonne (in those builder bags), and they pay about 15p a kg.
moving house soon so need to keep my two inside for a bit before letting them venture outside. Noticed they were using something similar to this in the cattery they stayed in while we were on holiday and apparently they had no issues using it (they are seasoned outdoor cats and were only ever using litter trays as kittens). May make a trip to Morrisons just for this.
Bloody cats. I have 3 of them hanging around and they love to do their business inside this time of year and then immediately proceed to trot outside via the cat flap!

I'll have to stock up on this but with a long term view of convincing them to use the garden and countryside they have free reign over. Maybe I will have to demonstrate personally.

Decent price but a false economy imho

Found myself throwing a lot of this away as needed to empty the tray in full each time.

Changed to Oko Plus from zooplus and it lasts far far longer, with less tracked through the house and less thrown away due to how well it clumps.

thanks for the tips.. She hadn't used it for a few days and may be me not having time to do this at the current time

I will try the method suggested... the only qualm is about the treats, I am still concerned that once I decide to stop giving treats when she is used to the tray next to toilet... will she still expect a treat the next time and get confused, the only concerns is what will happen when I am not home and she is expecting some treat...
Pity my rabbit is too small for sitting on the toilet, he could only sit in it.
And he doesn't like this litter at all, he refused to sit on it, so now I'm back to the cheap stuff from Poundstretchers, which he loves (sometimes uses it as a bed instead of a toilet).

just put both trays on the floor next to eachother at this stage.

Make 1 change at a time, otherwise your cat will get overwhelmed with too many changes and not use it.

When she gets used to the 1st change, wait a few days then make a 2nd small change.

Cats hate big changes!

You need to push the trays closer to the toilet every day and elevate them over the course of a few weeks.

You can't rush this.

you need to use play/treats/rewards/praise to entice her to use the 'new' tray and she'll get used to it.

Don't just expect her to use it without you helping her and rewarding her.

YOu have an active part to play in this process, don't jump the stages!
