Reviews seem ok-ish, at least with Aldi there's a decent returns process.
Not all tool chests are equal. Flimsy?

Alas it's just not nice ;-)
Alas not my size and my colour..
Has anyone got these? I’d be interested what the quality is like could you let me know, thanks (y)
Thanks for the post. Beautiful!
I purchased this unit (Black version) and there 2 door/3 drawer wardrobe Malibu unit. Both units are falling apart, the wood plugs are forever pulling apart and the front doors come off. Dont bother paying a penny and invest in some sturdy hardware from Ikea or somehwere!
It's £21.99 Make one for less?
Malibu furniture has always been crap.
Believe me when i say, these are not worth £2.99. They are the worst quality i have ever seen. Tge gaps in the drawers are anywhere between 2mm and 15mm. The finish on the drawer fronts is so bad it looks like a worker has done it with one hand during their lunch break. I cannot stress how poor quality these are. The parts do not line up correctly when assembling them either. Honestly, not even good enough for a sged.
15% off ebay uk site code - PIGGYBANK https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/15-off-ebay-uk-site-code-piggybank-3018405
https://ebay.us/iL9YFn I bought this. It looks the same as the original post on here. I used the 15% ebay deal (now ended) It did come with a dent in the back which they offered me £25 off if I wanted to keep it. Cost me £46 in the end. So I'm well happy. Still good at £84 delivered though.
Quite a bit smaller. Still happy with it but will be getting one of the larger ones too. Small one for home larger one for work I think.
This looks good but too big for my need so a cheaper and smaller alternative is https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/storage-furniture/drawer-units-storage-cabinets/helmer-drawer-unit-on-castors-white-art-10251045/ for small tools, nails and screws. Not voting because not sure on what usual price point is on these.

I found it nice but expensive. I prefer to use the cheap option, second hand metal filing cabinets with keys and wheels.
The red range is the advanced version,Black is professional version.....both currently sold.
When the old red range was 50% off coupled with the 20% discounts on workshop they always did the 3 piece set worked out £250. That means if you don't need it now the new range should surely get close to £300 if you are eagle eyed.
If you have a trade card this is down to £360
Seems Halfords are refreshing their tool box range. I assume this is the replacement for the red professional stuff? There is also the new advanced stuff which seems to have replaced the industrial stuff. Not sure what the differences are...
Nah..... I have no problems with it, the fact they don’t have stringent checks means they don’t really care either, which is a green light as far as I’m concerned!
I dont know if they'll fit on older industrial stack if that's what yer thinking.
Not especially above board or morally correct but hey, I like it!
True but it’s an example of how much they can sell stuff for and still turn enough profit to make it worth doing, shame non trade card holders are being ripped off.
It’s easy enough to get one, knock up a business card and letterhead and walk in and get one...!
If you're not concerned about poor quality tools damaging what you're using them on, then fine, go ahead, but tools failing when you've got pressure on them aren't just a nuisance, they can cause injury. You've also got the added work/inconvenience when you find bolt heads rounded by sockets or spanners that aren't quite the right size. Kits like this contain things you don't want and will never need. Stick to what you need and you can save money without sacrificing quality. You don't need to spend Snap-on money either.
Can this be the second reincarnation this week? :)
Expensive quality tools being a necessity is a bit of a fallacy for me. Unless you run a garage or workshop or do tool based work for a living, cheap tools are fine. I was an aircraft fitter in the RAF for 10 years and then a design engineer. My work tools used to be snapon or similar. Very nice to use as well. My tools at home are all cheapo ones. Always have been. Have changed exhausts, brakes, alternator, timing belts, done car servicings, changed toilet cistern, done a bit of loft plumbing to swap float valve, fixed oil boiler, kids’ bikes, garage door, neighbour’s guttering, fixed 2 electric guitars and an electric piano, fixed petrol lawnmower, wall socket changes, fixed washing machine ...... 2 dishwashers. There’s loads more. I get stitched for it all. My spanners are mostly from pound shops. Screw drivers the same. Bought a cheap socket set from a boot fair and gathered odd sockets along the way. My tool kit is probably worth no more than £100. Good quality saw blades and drills etc are another thing to be honest, but even then it depends on what you need and how much tool work you need it for. Same goes for power tools. I have decent power tools but for someone periodically putting up some shelves or a curtain rails, why the hell would you fork out £100+ on a dewalt or ryobi drill? You get what you pay for. Balance the price against the use.
Cheap tat dont waste your money
Paying any money for bad quality tools is just a waste of money. Done it once - paid twice.
I’ve got a tight black version of this. Came with a free ball gag
I have one of these and in reality it's a nightmare! it's boiling hot inside and there's no air flow to keep it relatively 'inflated' with a small fan. Speaking of the fan, it blows cold on one spot on your hip - so you end up with this weird sensation of being boiling hot, except for a cold spot on your hip. On the plus side beer does nicely pass through the mouth holes on the mask/head
Hell yeah , Nostalgia Alert !!! I want it !
Ordered one for delivery to store, hope they honour the price.
Its on today only,
£80 on trade for the mid unit...
Knew this was on Saturday but forgot to order grrrrrr
It's too bad the matching rolling cabinet is no longer sold by Halford, as this limits the appeal of this offer, IMO
Oos so expired
I know I was shocked xx
Sports Direct do blazers? Wow!
Not in stock when you go to checkout
This is lovely. Ideal for the next step.... will u marry me? Move in with me? Lovely sentimtal item.
haha nope not a teacher though happy to get gifts :)
Is OP a teacher, by any chance? Fed up of Thorntons chocs and bodyshop gift sets.
WTF is all this Teacher Gift? It’s their job for gods sake, they get paid for it.
Cute. I was looking for something different for our teachers. I can see this actually getting used for holding jewellery or the other small bits. Thanks
Can anyone recommend anything better at a similar pricepoint? I'm debating betweenr this or a similar sized heavy duty storage box...
I've got one of their standard toolboxes and they do seem cheaply made and too flexible. The top door on mine doesn't line up well as the few tools inside are distorting it (annoyed)
I bought 2 of these, 2 years ago , both now broken , plastic crack and split. I dropped a hammer into it and it put a hole in the bottom.
Not sure if you're definitely after a wheeled one. But I posted this earlier. Also If you're going to buy this download the app and join their free club and a fiver of the 1st spend over £30. I tried. When you get to payment it’s £40 for next day delivery or £20 for a couple of days later. Or more if you want to choose a select time. :o
Free delivery m8
Good. Apart from you have to pay extra for delivery.
that's the key, whatever you use you are trying to create easy to lift out units. I like the boxes as they stack and you can leave gaps when you use items if you keep the stuff you are going to use next at the top and new bulk buys to the bottom you can keep the stuff rotating. can help if you keep a list of what you have just remember to keep it up to date.
A good idea to store the food is Canvas bags apparently, easy to lift in and out and malleable and can cope with being frozen. Seems a good idea along with the suggestd cardboard boxes.
It shocks me how fast things like this go. Are people just sat there on their laptop 24hrs a day constantly checking tesco direct website or what lol
£25 delivery :| :| no thanks
It’s only allowing me to choose delivery at £25? Anyone else?

Yes, some chest freezers will not work outside. It's to do with their thermostats I think. Some freezers cut off when the temperature gets too low is 2 to -2 degs therefore the food defrosts. I know of a few that guarantee freezer still to work at minus 17 Deg . These include beko and fridge master. I learnt this by buying a swan freezer and as soon as the temp hut 6 degs it turned itself off.. so crazy. Be sure to ask the specs of the item first.
Argos website states it is suitable for out buildings.
It says ST climate class in the specification :/ https://www.beko.co.uk/support/faqs/fridges/what-are-climate-class-ratings-and-how-does-this-effect-where-i
I've had the RHCF200 197L version - bought from Tesco Direct back in 2016. That model did state it was suitable for garage use and has performed well. It's a simple/basic/effective design - and a real HUKD bargain back then at £135 including disposal of 30yr old chest freezer. That said the Russell Hobbs brand owners were/are clearly just slapping a couple of stickers on a (probably Chinese) chest, so may be different model/mechanics/electrics by now. The RHCF200 manual specifically states "This Appliance is suitable to be placed in garages". Cant see any such reference in the RHCF150.
