This frame was posted in April when it was £639.95 and seemed to go down incredibly well. "Was" price of £1069 and next best price seems £669.99 at ManoMano. Climbing frame wi… Read more

Just recently ordered from Wickey and have been really impressed so far. A couple of timbers arrived with small damage but they handled it really well and are sending replacements. The quality of the wood seems really good and the instructions appear nice and clear. Would definitely buy from Wickey again (y)

I got my toddler one for Xmas. Ordered it at the start of November, delivered within 2-3 weeks to NI. Easy enough to assemble over about 4 hours. I then bought big garden spikes from b&q, hammered those in the sides of the frame and bolted them together. The frame will now go nowhere and toddler loves it and plays on it every day. Well worth every penny

hollinworth2006

Nothing mega. Just a couple of adjustments and one off cut to brace the surf swing side. Needed to tighten up the bolts after a few weeks with the wood drying out. Also anchored to the sleepers so it is rigid.

Any issues with the swing stability? I had to reinforce the same model with brackets.

Same company Wickey.

I didn’t know Five Ten were Adidas. I’ve got three pairs of bouldering shoes as I lend them to friends and can’t justify a fourth pair just yet until I’ve worn out my Pinks 8) Voted hot (y)

Great price! I went for the anasazi, woukd recommend those over the dragons got newer/intermediate climbers

Haircut_100

They must have called it the Dragon because it looks as though it would fit a dragon’s clawed foot.

Yep apologies I was confused thinking these were direct from Adidas, I had been over on the Adidas website to get the description. Using PayPal returns is your best bet. Have just edited that comment now to reflect that.

jinxxeh

Do you have more info about the free returns via Adidas? I bought through Paypal so was thinking I might use their returns reimbursement thing, because it looked like the site said you had to pay for a returns label? Thanks!

Great bag. I use it everyday to carry my laptop and paperwork. I wear it on my push iron, motorbike and any time I go away. Its a great bag for the money at 20 quid.

y_knot_me

I have this bag and fit a 15.6 inch gaming laptop and a 15.6 portable screen. I use the bladder compartment at the back. It's ideal.

y_knot_me

Why not get a bladder? I find the 2 litre ideal for buckfast, you can squeeze 3 big bottles in. That's on top of the cans and spirit.

And Argentina ;)

Finally got around to building the climbing frame and the area for it to be placed in. After reading somewhere that it took 2 people 11 hours to build this model I was dreading it. I was actually amazed how easy it was to put together. It took me maybe 3 or 4 evenings at a really leisurely pace. It was really nice to put together. The fact the holes weren't predrilled was good because I wanted to move things around instead of having it how they advertised. Few bits of wood split but not all the way through and not near any of the big bolts/screws. So no need to replace. This is how it looks:

For what they are offering I don't think some of their packages are bad at all. I was just impatient really!

Hawkandr0

That’s really interesting. I was expecting the cost difference to be larger. Still, for your time and effort it sound like you’ll have a more sturdy climbing frame (y)

sskhatra

Only a little bit less than what Amazon have it on for

alftrad1

I spent £480 on wood from the timber yard. The posts I used are 8 100x100mm 3m fence posts. Then I had to spend £125 on a slide (1.5m high instead of 1.2m), £15 on climbing stones, £15 on two pairs of handles, plus screws. Plus £30 on a cargo net so call it £670. The one I based mine off was £720. So the cost difference is negligible. They have a swing on there too but obviously there isn't a lot of cost if you wanted to add one yourself which I didn't want. If you search on the wickey website for fort then you can see their dimensions and what I based mine on. The platforms on mine are much bigger and I think I've got a lot more wood but I don't think some of these wickey sets are bad value at all. I spent a lot of time having to work on the design and source the materials etc.

any advice how to climb out of lockdown is welcome

whatyadoinsucka

Yes I know thanks, I’m a regular 9-9.5 in Adidas I got a uk9 in these and they were like a uk7, I reordered a uk10 and they feel like a UK8-8.5 to still smaller than I’d wear in a regular trainer (which I’ll wear with my toe touching the front) Ps and at £22.50 it’s a great price I paid about the same at Adidas, voucherEd up last year, they are good as an introduction, but covid and live got in the way for me last year ,

SingingHobo

Cold. As climbing shoes go these are good as gym rental shoes. They're built sturdy and stiff to be reused. The red rubber doesn't get as sticky as regular climbing shoe material meaning it won't leave a mark on a climbing wall but also won't give you any good sticking to the holds. If you want your own climbing shoe then something like Decathlon's cheaper brand are a good starter pair: Side note: when buying climbing shoes err on the side of smaller as they will usually stretch over time. Also you want accurate foot precision on the wall so tighter the better usually. All brands are different though and can vary in size guides.

akjolly

Wow, absolute bargain for climbing shoes. Gutted only a couple of sizes are available now (7.5 & 8 atm) and, like all footwear deals, not my size - but well worth trying at that price for those with feet those sizes!

Sentral

They are supposed to fit small, they're climbing shoes (:I
