Same here. Refund issued and told to keep the metal swing.
I didn't hear back from Tesco so I rang them, they offered to refund me and keep the metal swing, but as I'd already rejected the metal swing upon delivery I'd be no better off in this case. I really just want the wooden swing for my daughter that I originally ordered.

They then offered a refund, plus an additional £35 to reorder the metal swing. I rejected this offer as the metal swing looks so inferior, I'm now waiting to hear back from their 'escalations' team. The woman I spoke to was very forceful and pretended that the line was breaking up whenever I said something that wasn't the same as her viewpoint.

Reading Tesco's T&C's they are contractually obliged to comply with the contract to provide a wooden swing. A wooden swing IS a product they sell under product code 215-9852. Any other item, such as the inferior metal swing, is simply not as the contract describes.
Update: we've been given a full refund but told we can keep the metal swing. Happy with that!
Just been asked to return it and there giving me a £5 voucher compensation
Metal too!

Trying to find a flight that can be paid with club miles on their website …Trying to find a flight that can be paid with club miles on their website and there doesnt seem to be many!

Depends when/where you're going!

There is plenty on routes like New York, Atlanta etc.

I've found zero business routes to Las Vegas....

Last time this promotion came on, I settled on 2 business return tickets to Cancun (we go in November!!!)... which I had to ring up at 6am on the day the flights for the return leg became available for sale to ensure I got them (apparently only 2 reward per flight there!)

I'd never take a car for MOT at Halfords no matter what the deal. They're crooks, fail on BS reasons so they can charge you full price for a retest. I even think they may have broke something on my wife's car when she took hers to them a few years ago. I'd avoid them at all costs.

I've used Tesco vouchers for my MOT at Halfords 5 or so times. No …I've used Tesco vouchers for my MOT at Halfords 5 or so times. No problems, very efficient and car passed every time. Only slight downside is you have to over or underspend (£20=60 or £15=45), then pay the difference or receive no refund if the latter

I think it depends on the garage manager and perhaps their manager too. These chain places will set sales targets and probably award bonuses to staff/managers for hitting or exceeding them: some managers will give in to the temptation to make sure every customer spends a bit extra, this gives them a bit extra in their pay packet.
Based on personal experience i would avoid. Told me I needed a new catalytic converter at £600 but it turned out to be just the manifold gasket that had gone. Saying that a local independant garage also tried it on with work that didn't need doing. But as said above I also found their attitude to be bad, making you feel like you shouldn't question their (questionable) knowledge.

Sorry, cold from me. Yes it's a deal, but it's not a new one and it doesn't expire. There are some good clubcard 3 for 1 deals on there but I agree with the others. There's nothing more expensive than a cheap MOT.

As I'm sure if you reject the offer any fees included as part of remortgage I.e. valuation or any part of any conveyancing work done todate becomes payable. Also if you reject and reapply in April how long will you have to get your new offer in place prior to old product ends

When I was taking my mortgage I had an offer from my bank (Natwest), another one from Barclays and ended up with my broker offer from Halifax. Nothing will be made by the bank (like valuation) unless I accept the offer. All I want is to secure a good rate. From this what I know they will automatically valuate my house + amount I want to borrow = LTV% and offer can be made. Then if I accept it they will start the process (valuation etc).

It looked that way when I was applying for my mortgage, the initial value of my house (to calculate LTV% and get rates) was the price I wanted to pay for it and then when I accepted it they have done valuation just to confirm my house is worth as much as I want to borrow.

Am I wrong at any point ?

Generally you need the new mortgage to pay off the existing! If you apply for a new one they will know you have the existing. Unless you have a spare hundred grand sitting around. Mortgages are not structured like credit cards where you can take on a new one and then decide to pay off the existing one. The banks will pay the solicister not you. And on a mortgage application they will know you have an existing so will not lend you the money unless you remortgage. Your best bet is to pay off the mortgage quicker by making over payments if you can. No interest is due on extra payments you have made

No comment on price as almost impossible to compare to anywhere else as the name is unique to Tesco however interesting comments on built in pillow top mattresses here so would probably stay clear myself:

The main objection to pillow tops come into what you are expected to pay for them and the lifespan you will get out of them. Just like a one sided mattress, you will be unable to turn it so when the pillowtop layer becomes indented and worn, you will eventually have to replace the entire mattress even though the spring support will be sufficiently OK.
