Cross trainer reduced in price

I'm not a brand snob, I shop in SD all the time. Some good prices on trainers and the Slazanger T-shirts 3 for a £10 are a goos bargain. The fit well and last ok.

Bunch of cowboys.

I get a great bargain on my Lonsdale Polo Shirts. They're reduced from £49.99 to £4.99. What a saving!

That's SD normal Quality........ Rubbish

Standard price for cheap rubbish.

Half Price Elliptical Cross Trainer - £87.50 (+£7.95 del) Tesco Direct (where else?!)

I’m still scouring Tesco Direct looking for bargains - this is another item included in the newest half price offer. Looks decent at the reduced price. £7.95 delivery, no C+C optio… Read more

It's not a bad device, it will get you into it. But if you do use it for something other than gathering dust after a year you will want more. Better to spend this amount to find out then save up for something more / bigger TV later. (if you don't catch the fitness bug)

I included that info in my description, so personally I think that’s enough. (highfive)

I have this for a few years now and found two things with it. First it is well made and works very well. Second is you actually have to use it to get results. Can fully reccommend it if you have the spare space. Great price. I was 100kg now 85. Agree that 150kg would be pushing it.

Sorry for being that guy - but the headline price should include delivery, so really £95.45

Great price but look on shpok firs as people practically give them away!

Hardly a space saver XD But, all my home gym machines are NordicTrack, and I cannot recommend them enough, the stuff is so well made and easy to use.

I hoped they had applied a similar discount to the nordictrack treadmills but sadly not

Only reason I clicked on deal

Thought that was a topless girl.

WHAT a heap. A classic example of "if it LOOKS too good to be true, it's probably (poo) "

Still the same price as when I purchased nearly 5yrs ago, would've thought price be a bit lower by now - not exactly a great piece of equipment

Still an expensive clothes horse at the end of the day...

Good price for a magnetic elliptical Cross trainer

Pass me the needle and thread. My sides are splitting.

Looks like I'd only get two coats hanging from that, I'd prefer one with more clothes hanging space.

You get what you pay for but you don't need a gym quality exercise cross trainer. The ones at gyms are designed to run 24/7 with low maintenance. Unless you're olympic training then this will do fine.

I bought one of these to help me recover from an ankle operation. I was dubious but it was fantastic. I lost weight and gained fitness and mobility - seriously! My only observation is that I wore out the bearing in about 6 months. But it was £25 well spent and now I am getting it collected for a refund. How can that be bad? Also, I would suggest looking on the usual fleabay sites as there are some amazing bargains to be had.

If it doesn't have a flywheel, avoid. The decathlon ones are better although pricey. Personall I have the Domyos VE730. Try it instore to get a feel for these as most feel different stridewise and flywheel natural movement etc. *edit: seems the VE730 is out of stock and replaced by the shape version

Does the model in the pic come with it?!! Guffaw, guffaw!! No, seriously though - does she?

This will probably be quite unpleasant to use at this price point and the weakest link on these budget trainers are the welds on the frame that take all the stressing especially the floor standing 'H' section with the uprights. Those welds will crack over time depending on how vigorous you work out on it, Chinese monkey metal.

They don't,,that's why I only paid £499 from Costco.

Used it once so far for 30 mins and it feels pretty good. Not quite gym quality but probably 80% of the way there for 10-20% of the price. Certainly a lot better than most 'home' devices. Time will tell how it holds up but so far, so good.

31 reviews over the last 12 months. Why are you shouting?

You're on the wrong forum if you think a discount means a poor deal!

Not surprised, WD40 is a degreaser, not a lubricant so probably made it worse, not better

You have to pull the cable from the bottom of the handle end. It helps if someone is holding the handle bar whilst you're pulling the cable to connect it to the bottom "hook". It does stretch enough to hook it on as shown on the diagram of the manual. That's the only bit I also had a little problem with but it can be done. Good luck! It's a a great machine for the price! My whole family is making great use of it!

how do you connect the tension control cable?? having a nightmare!!!

was out of stock for me when I posted it and is currently out of stock again lol

If you are a single parent with a full time job (or various other reasons carer etc) getting out for that fast walk isn't that easy, so this is an option for after their bed time. Thanks OP.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new clothes hanger X)

Thank you for such a nice post.

Thank you for posting this, your post prompted me to go to Tesco direct to look for a cross trainer and I bought one for £65, which used to be £125 down from £150 until few days ago. Hopefully I won't abuse this machine by not using it and looking forward to a healthy 2016. I have bought a Treadmill and Stationary bike couple of years ago and sold them on eBay without using them. I will not let that happen to this machine, thanks again for making me buy a cross trainer today. Keep posting!

Nice 1. I registered for stock alerts and have received nothing. I checked again for the exercise bike i want, after seeing your comment and hey presto, it's back in stock! Thanks geisha6 and the OP. Here's hoping it doesn't end up as a clothes horse :p

not sure if you can un expired it but some are back in stock now:

Hopefully someone that's got 1 of these can help. I'm after something, probably a cross trainer as i need to lose weight. I'm 17 stone but want 1 that won't lift off the floor when using it so it has to be pretty sturdy. Also not sure what the difference is between them all. Would this 1 do the job?

Only works if you use it - which you won't!
