I love the hose length on these can easily reach 10/11 steps and the tools are great....it's a pity I didn't find this deal a few weeks back as I paid £200 for ours. To say I've always been a fan of VAX this beats any VAX I've ever had and is quite
The old model dysons are the best... These new ones have less suction power due to EU regulations trying to reduce energy consumption.

I purchased the dc75 at £190 the newest version on Dyson site was £520! Good deal with code imho
Just a warning with it being only 2 years I do feel this model needs needs 5 years. You could always extend the guarantee with someone else. Its. a great price tho. Mine fully broke within just over a year. Another fully broke within months of purchase. Both needed exchanges from dyson.

Really tempted by the V8 Absolute at that price (which represents a £100 saving on the best "new" price currently available). What do people think about likely Black Friday deals on a new V8? If I take the refurbished deal now, will I be kicking myself in three weeks time?

I would buy this at the price but not going instore. Ofcourse it'll will break that's what the 5 year guarantee is for. Usually If they think its a part issue they'll send by post if not send an engineer out with 2-3 weeks. I've called them multiple times for other non-ball dyson models and this one too. This particular model had to be fully exchanged by Dyson but I guess it just depends on the vacuum user.

Had to fix the MIL one of these last night, was very surprised how poor the suction was (with clean filters) compared to our very old dyson.
I have one of these and it is fine enough. Takes a bit of getting used to, but always does a good clean. Wouldn’t want to pay any more than this though.

You can often pick up the nv680 for £150 or less. I got one last month from amazon for £149.99 so just keep an eye out as it's currently £179.99 at the moment but will go on offer at some point. As previously mentioned and a common theme hoovering a house with a shark that was previously done with dyson brings up suprising results our dirt bin was quite full and we thought the carpets were already clean before we used the shark so was surpised.

we bought the Shark NV350UKC and I was totally amazed at how good it was. I keep recommending the shark brand to everyone. I felt a bit sick at first after hovering the carpet and soo much stuff came up and we hadn't long cleaned it with the dyson, shocking results. but very happy.

The NV680 is more than capable as well as one of sharks most popular models. The 2nd soft brush roller is the only improvement the duo clean has over the NV680. Like I say if money is tight the NV680 is a good choice. Personally think duo clean is expensive at over £200.

Just have a look at the deal I posted (went ice cold) and have a look at the video posted there and device for yourself. Don't buy the cheaper older models of budget permits which although good don't have the near duo clean head which is amazing. It's a direct electrically powered dual head with soft roller brush and hair brush. Amazing. Just watch the video. My two dyson vacuums at home presently are not being used as the shark is amazing in my opinion. I paid full price and didn't get any discounts so it's my opinion after paying full price. Would gladly buy again or gift to family members. The lift away feature is very useful and is present on older models as well. But the duo clean feature is only there on newer models. See this long video if interested
bonus is it had HEPA filter for exhaust gas and better for my child. See HEPA filter demonstrated in video against Dyson. You can find 15% off discount codes for shark website on Google. I got mine for shark nv800uk for 212£ delivered I think after discount. Normally well above 340£ and was lots cheaper than Amazon as well

Lol me too new dyson are cheaply made wish my old one hadn't blown up

My very old DC14 is getting a bit past its best and I am even tempted to have it "reconditioned" something I would never normally dream of doing as labour costs make repairs on most domestic goods largely a false economy, but as you say new Dysons are just junk.

The Shark options do seem a much better option now, just I am so uncomfortable with the ridiculously boxy clumsy heavy American styling and the reviews stress how heavy and awkward they are to use even of they are efficient at picking up the muck! :-(
I think Dyson has 'had it's day'.........IMO, there is better hardware available.

Dyson ebay outlet deals are always going on and off offer... if you search HUKD for this dyson DC40, you'll see loads of posts at various prices ranging from £111.99 to £128 from just the last 3 months... I bought mine from the ebay outlet for £119.99 and it was like brand new - all the accessories were in sealed bags and didn't look used at all. - the 2 year warranty card also registered as 5 years (dunno if that means I'll actually get 5 years though).... but I guess buying refurbished is always going to be a gamble.

That is the extension, its like a coil hose, or more like a spring, horrible - still amazes me how good it cleans the floor, hope its the same in a few years.
