"Hurry don't know how long it will last!"

Yeah, I had concerns about its longevity as well...

Seriously though. Not a bad price @£32 for a fashion watch which appears to have a finish representing quite a few processes on the dial and good quality strap etc. It's also not unattractive - so represents a good bargain. However, at the £160 price, I'd want to know if it's a quality Swiss or Japanese movement and I'd expect 316L case.

It's probably just Amazon, but there's no details on any of these features and it's not a well enough known brand to get much info from the usual places.

It's not any worse than any other mid-range fashion watch though, I think it was a decent deal while it lasted.

Yeah, I guess it's how hard it hits the head end, it seems to break something between the motor and the metal bar the head clicks onto. I think maybe I'm just a bit clumsy!

I've used generic replacements and they never fit properly, in that they fly off the main bit if you shake the water off. They also don't vibrate as much as the official brushes if you put a little more pressure - difficult to explain but I'm not buying generic again.
Will this take kids' sonicare (or generic) heads? At this price it's cheaper than the kids toothbrush, so they can do without the stickers!

Solid small speakers at a fantastic at price Has great reviews
Get dealGet deal
I am looking for not to expensive wireless speakers for a medium size living room can anyone help
I had a little adventure with Wharfedale Diamonds for my surround sound last year...

After following a similar discussion on these speakers I acquired 8 x Diamond 9.0 (of various ages) last summer: I was given two, bought two second hand online, then 4 came free along with a centre CC9.0 when I bought a second hand subwoofer SW150. I also bought another second hand CC9.0.

Three of the free ones were noticeably damaged in the cone, and of the others I went through them one by one, playing a tone that went through all of the specified frequencies as I noticed something was up with one of them. I then realised that the rubber flexible mount (which joins the moving cone to the fixed metal part of the cone) was ever so slightly split on one of them. So I then unscrewed each of the cones and inspected them. Then did the same with both CC9.0 speakers, each has 2 cones.

I graded each one and got 1 perfect 9.0, two almost perfect 9.0 (only slight resonating at frequencies below the receiver's crossover frequency), and one perfect CC9.0. The two almost perfect became my rear L and rear R, along with the perfect CC9.0 and two 9.1 for front L and R and the SW150.

I kept the perfect one (just in case), and gave the rest to my neighbour along with an old AV receiver and subwoofer, and even this flawed, cobbled together 5.1 ensemble sounded head and shoulders above their soundbar, provided the volume was not cranked past 'annoying loud'.

I learned:

1. Don't buy these second hand (even for £20 a pair) unless you check them inside and out, especially for splits in the rubber mount.

2. None of the ones I kept have got the recess front panel, and none have 'Made in China' on them.

3. The SW150 is very big and heavy.

4. My 5.1 set up now sounds great.

5. The worst 9.0 is now a doorstop.

Wharfedale hasn't had a UK manufacturing operation for decades. It hasn't …Wharfedale hasn't had a UK manufacturing operation for decades. It hasn't really been a meaningful engineering/innovation company since the 80s. For a very long time, it's just been a brand name, stamped on to generic products. There's no actual heritage or substance behind anything sold as Wharfedale today. As a previous poster mentioned, it was owned by Argos for a very long time, and then bought out by IAG. Interestingly, IAG tried to restore some credibility, and released some relatively premium (and well rated) products under the brand (around 8-10 years ago), although they were very derivative.Anyway, a £39 pair of bookshelves might as well be any pair of £39 bookshelves. I wouldn't put any premium on it being Wharfedale, or any other brand for that matter. When it comes to speakers, quality is everything, and it doesn't come at £39.Re. the made in China debate. These are, without doubt. However, so are almost all B&W speakers, some of which retail for £3000+, and are very highly regarded. The same is true for most 'mainstream' premium hifi loudspeaker brands. With the right production environment and QC, it's just as possible to build quality components in China as it is anywhere else in the world.

Interesting info there thanks.
Shame that B&W premium priced speakers aren't still made in the UK, they were made down in Worthing if I recall. And totally agree that China itself is not a measure of good or bad quality. It's just very cheap labour there. There's good quality Chinese made products and diabolical products.

Agree that these are poor quality speakers. I bought a pair after reading …Agree that these are poor quality speakers. I bought a pair after reading the hype on HUKD and am going to chuck them away now. Better buy something 2nd hand on ebay

Can you tell me please, do they look like this?(recessed where the speaker grille goes)

33045953-T9kan.jpg
The ones I have are nothing like that (and more like the advertised image on richer sounds site) so guessing they're the older ones. I wouldn't dream of binning them
mrgentry21 m ago

^^^^
This is a great use for them. People get suckered buying matching speakers for 5.1, 7.2, 9.3! surround sound speaker setups and end up using premium speakers for the rear and ceiling channels, which require a very narrow response range. These would be champion.
