Experience of cheap brand TVs like this is that the '4K' is not to be taken literally. It'll be perhaps a shade better than 720p (HD Ready) compared to a branded TV.
Great TV for the price. Hot!
Terrible TV
This is just another noname brand from the manufacturer Vestel.

Vestel produce a lot of very cheap TVs and market them under literally dozens of names to make it appear that there are a lot of competing suppliers. They are just the same TV with very slight variations between them.

It makes no difference which of their TVs you purchase there really wont be much difference between them. Some people will be attracted to a name they haven't heard of rather buying from brands like Bush or Alba. Some might associate the names with old British brands of the same name and feel nostalgic or nationalistic. Don't be fooled they are produced in countries like Slovenia or Turkey are just a rubbish as each other. You may be lucky and get one that works well for a long time, or as is most likely you will get it and barely lasts the minimum warranty period they are designed for.

To get a better quality TV you have to pay more - sometimes not much more. In the old days TVs used to last for ever - it was a reliable product. Now it is a disposable item.

For the money and specs very good on the whole.

Does anyone have calibration settings for this TV? Boyf got his delivered today, seems happy with it, though he reckons the stand is a bit wibbly.

Edit: Actually, he's been moaning that the remote/or the processor within the TV isn't that responsive, it's apparently quite slow when changing channels.

Yep buy a 4K TV even though you are unlikely to watch any 4K content for at least 5 years. Even if you did you are unlikely to notice any difference in picture quality of a 43" set.

Remember 1080 content will look better at the native resolution on a 1080 screen than it would upscaled on a 4K screen . So until the majority of what you watch is 4K , stick with a regular full HD ( 1080 ) screen.

I have bought this TV to replace a Techwood TV in my living room.. Digihome and Techwood are made by the same company Vestel. I have had no complaints with the Techwood TV it is about 6 years old and still works great. So it is getting put in the bedroom. I received the Digihome TV today and tested it and everything Is working good. A couple of minor cosmetic marks but wont be seen when wall mounted. Only downfall is there is not any contact address or telephone number for the manufacturer, but if it works as well as the Techwood TV - you wouldn't need the information. It is a great price for a TV that looks good, with good picture and sound quality. Hope this is of some help to you.

While i think i got a great deal at tesco with this tv i cant help but wonder if i should have gone up to the 55" as screen size is important for really appreciating the extra detail of 4k. Yes you have to install it via USB but that's pretty simple. The main … Yes you have to install it via USB but that's pretty simple. The main improvement I think is the picture on SD which I think was pretty poor on this television. It also turns the menus yellow/black which makes the TV look a lot more classy in my opinion. It is well worth enabling the PVR and DTS. The PVR function allows you to record to a hard drive/memory stick and transfer those recording to other media i.e a PC. I think a software update will also enable Freeview Play at some point.

Thanks, yes, the SD picture quality is one of my main bugbears with the set. luckily I have a decent number of HD sources (and even some in UHD, which look awesome) but if I switch to a SD channel either on the internal tuner or my Humax Freesat PVR the picture quality is almost always awful with lots of obvious artefacts and pixellation. I'd be quite surprised if they can do much about it with an update as I believe a lot of the issue is just the low source quality and the large screen size but maybe they have found a more effective upscaling algorithm....

Japan sold Sharp 8k tv from last summer: not sure about terrestrial but 8k certainly exists now

We may well be getting 8K screens soon and I have no doubt that there will be enough people that will buy into it and pay out the money for them.

But we don't even have HD as a fully mainstream delivery method, let alone 4K, so it will be a very long time before we see enough content for 8K.

Add to that the additional bandwidth required and the question of whether our infrastructure can support the data needs.

As above - Digihome Smart 4K Ultra HD 48 Inch LED TV only £279 at Tesco 3840x2160 resolution, Ultra HD 4K Built-in Freeview HD Connect to other devices via 4 HDMI connections
Just a heads up for anyone considering this, this set has come back in stock today, tesco.com/dir…sku and you can use the £20 off TDX-WYMJ code to get it to £259 delivered too!

I ordered it this morning for £239 (I had a £20 giftcard & used the discount code) delivered. It's coming on Thursday, just hope I have done the right thing. It's a fine price but the lack of HDR & mixed reviews concern me a bit. I just hope the lack of HDR doesn't make it become obsolete before 4K even takes off...

But thought I'd share some of my initial/further findings. To confirm all 4 x HDMI ports are HDMI 2.0 4k 60hz. The WiFi connected straight away with no issues. I've done some quick tests via my Nvidia Shield, such as a YouTube 4k 60fps video playback and it does look even more glorious compared to my 1080p LED Sony or Sharp panel. There was no ghosting or motion blur, plus definitely no cloud patches on the panel when it came to blacks.I haven't tinkered with the TV picture settings yet, which I know I will have to do until I'm fully satisfied. I do have an Xbox One and a PS4, so I will try Overwatch for example to see how it copes with a faster motion game play. If anyone has any questions or things they want me to check, please fire away.

Have you got Netflix to work? Mine just says error, apparently it's a firmware error with the TV???

It should be because the listing specifically mentions Ultra HD Blu-ray player, so that must mean that it has 2.2
