Found 15th NovFound 15th Nov
An Amazon 'Deal of the Day'. At £3.75 an item this is quite a good price for Denby.

Good price, we bought this set from the factory outlet and probably spent more than this deal.

I voted hot.

Excellent price

29cm dinner plates. Make sure it fits into your dishwasher and kitchen cabinets. But there are other denby brands as well in deal of the day.

Creaky??? You cheeky!!! That's my old office up there!!! (lol)

Definitely creaky but quite classy too. Superb breakfast with quite an extensive buffet for continental and cooked options. Great deal for this price.

Just booked an executive room for 27th December. Great deal. Heat

HG1 2PQ will take you to the Sun Pavillion on Cornwall Rd free parking along here, be careful further down as permit only but I’m sure you will find somewhere along here. We were lucky with crisp cold days but nice blue skies, hope it’s the same for you in Feb... Enjoy!

Yes, a lot of the reviews mention the creaky floorboards lol. Thanks for the insight (especially the free parking!), I've booked for February next year. No premium for a Friday night booking either, unlike at the Lincoln Hotel deal we recently took advantage of.

Good gesture. You see many poor people begging in front of Wimbledon Station these days. There is this big fat bloke who sits besides Greggs who has been asking change for the past 3 years. I stopped giving him money when I saw he smokes fags.

Great gesture.

It is a lovely pub. I recommend

The irony of your name. A person only a mother could love.

Compassionate. Next time I'm in Wimbledon, i'll make sure to pop in to here for a few drinks, gestures like this deserve custom

Think the statement that it’s close to Birmingham is a little exaggerated... it’s like saying Luton is in London...

Just don't expect much if you actually walk around Kidderminster... close to Worcester though which is a nice place to have a wonder around :)

Nice hotel, I've stayed here a couple of times. Close to the Safari park.

Is there any charity offers free transport for alone elderly disabled person?

What the hell is your problem, just because lots of people are alone for the holidays doesn't mean they WANT to be alone, I am one of them. For the past decade for every holiday season and birthday I am at home, alone, by myself. I have no friends, don't get out much due to the 10+ years of constant bullying at school (I have tourettes) and even couldn't leave the house without running into people from school, I even got into trouble for causing a disturbance when I was just sitting in class and half of it was harassing me but I was to blame. Rant all you want just because you don't give a rats ass doesn't mean other people don't. All I do is start drinking the day before til the day after and hope I don't do nothing stupid inbetween. I tried going out for a meal several years ago, couple saw me eating alone and bought me a drink, made me feel even worse thinking people were staring at me feeling sorry for me. Perfect evening for me would be going to Cinema with someone and grabbing a bite to eat and a little drink after and having a laugh and depending on the person going home and just watching a film on the sofa cuddled up.

I am very sorry to hear this, I have health issues myself and can relate to some of this.

I would like to say in all seriousness, that you are 100% correct as far as I am concerned. Lets also remember that a lot of the elderly do not have the energy to get out as much as they would like, nor can they suffer the cold as their bodies have deteriorated. The consequence of this is that they stay at home and dont mix. Its easier not to. Like you say there are lone people and lonely people and Xmas and the new year is particularly bad, but not because Society says so but because we all grow up with Xmas being a time for enjoyment. And Just to add. Last year a Turkish restaurant in Chelmsford did likewise by reaching out to the elderly who may be on their own on Christmas day to ask them to join them for lunch. Bogaz, a Turkish restaurant that opened on Moulsham Street in April last year invited any elderly residents to visit them on Christmas day for food and company.

If people don't realise that some folk are lonely over the Christmas period, they have never read a book, a newspaper or watched a film or TV! I'm going to leave it there, because there is only so many times we can disagree completely ;)

We stay here every year around Xmas time. It's a beautiful resort and hotel. The restaurant is lovely and quality food. We usually pay £170 when it's on offer but that includes a treatment. We aren't really bothered about that. You can also attend the fitness classes free of charge. Highly recommended and a good price! Golf not included!

As per every Travelzoo deal they can't seem to negotiate a Fri or Sat evening at the advertised rate..

Is the golf included though?

Pretty much every year, nearer the time, a couple of supermarkets will do a turkey, sausage, stuffing and cranberry sauce pizza. I'm pretty sure that co-op did one a couple of years ago. I haven't tried it, but know a couple of people who did and they said it was decent (as xmas dinner pizzas go). Failing that, just go to a pub that's doing Christmas dinners. You won't be the only one dining on their own and could end up having a cracker (excuse the pun).

Haha very good! How about the quality, sexy ladies under 30 or is that more of a M&S , Sainsbury , Waitrose ask? Not into older ladees I prefer more tender meat lol I guess I would probably be best off in the chicken and turkey sad old gits aisle!!! (horror)

Wow that is the voice of an expert. Thats it I am off to Iceland. Can you recommend the best times - I would reckon maybe 6pm just after work and popping in for a lady snack might be the best time to hover lol (shock)

Down that aisle they sell wine, catfood and microwave meals for single ladies, for the single guys aisle they sell beer, dog food, microwave meals for one (y) it's a one stop shop
