Hundreds if not Thousands of hours worth of content in this game. Well worth the price.

I can't think of a better game to have 'on the go'. Disgaea 5 is absolutely brilliant.

I’ve reserved it but all stores around me for miles are closed due to the weather 😩

Great deal, thanks OP. Was just interested in this. Rather have digital but I'll bite at that price. In stock round the corner from me too.

Been after this for a long time, something to alternate between Darkest Dungeon grind (another amazing game). Got another 10% off through work Argos voucher scheme - result

Great. Another game I didn’t want to buy. Thanks OP

Great game, works brilliant on the Switch to. You can put 200+ hours into these games if not a whole lot more.

I got this today in store and noticed the price was a little lower than it said on the machine. Great game so far, tonnes of extra content, including 1,000,000 HL and a character with a HP of 100,000+

It says the core game so yeah it's the first time its been on the go because it was only on the ps4 previously.

One of my favourites, the sheer amount of content in this game is crazy. 75 hours in and I haven't even got close to doing everything. I still have to do the DLC, Quests, more levels, collect more items, level more items and a hella ton more. Even after you finish the game you've got tonnes to do, I quote many when I say the story is the tutorial. The story is cringe at points for people who dislike the whole anime stereotype but in general I had a lot of fun with it. Also replying Ellendel, prinny's since the start have always said "Dood" its just how they talk.. the humour is in the skits and everything else. On the switch the game becomes a lot better, faster loading time and portability are both great features. If your looking for a game with theoretical "Infinite" replay value then this game is for you (as long as you enjoy anime stereotypes and humour as well as TRPG's) Each Item (even consumables) have a thing called an "item world" inside of them and you can go through these for an infinite amount of floors however items will cap at level 9999 and thats when the enemies stop getting stronger in the item world but you can still farm exp and other things in there. A max level cap of 9999 and if that isn't enough to max all stats you must reincarnate several times (right now im a total level of 70000 on one character) and after you max stats, you'll farm shards to get your stats past 99999999, then get equipment good enough to get higher. Some bosses even have 99bil Health (but are totally optional don't worry) I can't recommend this game enough and anyone who loved the old TRPG's like Shining Force will love this, even after the main story theres an incredible amount to do. If you like farming and levelling then hundreds of hours are here and more.

Not sure if to get this or persona 5

It's been £32.99 at Argos for about 6 weeks now, I'm still not biting since I played the PS4 version a couple of years ago. Might bite if it comes down to £25ish.

Looked interesting, but tried the Demo and it seemed a bit cringey in terms of the voice acting, general depiction of the characters etc, and humour. How many times can a penguin saying 'dood' in 5 minutes be funny. Less than ten times. That's for sure. Does it get a lot better? I'll be honest I didn't last the demo out. I do like the idea of an SRPG for the switch though!

Is Cloud from FF7 in this game?

Sounds sweet, thanks for the reply (y)

It's turned based combat (like Fire Emblem) but has many more RPG elements to it. It's a vast game that can take hundreds of hours of your life if you let it. If you play the story through and a few extras then you're looking at 50 hours easily. There's so much on offer that if you like turn based combat then there's plenty in here to like.

Nice, is this similar to Fire emblem heroes?

A lot of game for your money, it can easily last hundreds of hours.

I have a mountain of unplayed Vita/PS4 games and my Switch arrives today...

Think they were referring to Vita. Imagine Switch will be their main focus now. https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/620272-playstation-vita/75908378

Imagine how many Vita games I could buy if I cancelled my Switch order... :/

Unless I'm mistaken seems to be the best price yet. Edging closer to that £30 mark.

Nice price.. I think turn base strategy games will have a very bright future on Switch.. Disgaea 5 is superb and Mario + Rabbids is fantastic too. Can't wait for the Fire Emblem game next year.

played this for 115 hours now, never had it crash while playing but do have to but the card in a few times before it works for whatever reason

I don't think that was a defective copy. The game is just very unstable. Even the demo crashed for me. It's a real mess. I had the same issues with Disgaea 4 on Vita. Frequent crashes, which had the potential to cost you hours of progress if it came towards the end of a run in the item world. I love Disgaea and NIS' other strategy games, but I've since stopped buying them. They should really implement an auto-save feature if they can't make their games stable.

Cracking game, just be warned that some copies of the game crash like mad to the point it's unplayable. I know because I was an unfortunate victim of a defective copy. I bought a new copy and it's worked fine ever since, pretty sure it was never patched either.

Excellent game. I paid £50 on release and really struggled to find a copy.

This game must have had a low print at release it sold out most places

There is a demo on the eShop for anyone wanting to get an idea of how it plays. This is cheapest price. Base.com are next at a quid more if you prefer them.

No idea how competitive this price is, but Disgaea 5 is probably one of the finest turn based strategy games of all times and the best in the series.

My Base copy came on Friday, enjoying it so far. But only been able to play for an hour or so. Nice that the sleeve can be reversed for a slightly alternate cover!

Was interested in this, wonder why there has been low stock. Don't want to be paying £48 for it.

It seems base have no stock either must have had problems from their suppliers

I got the same email. I complained and they gave me £10 for the inconvenience. Doesn't help me get it for the weekend though. I'm tempted to download it now, but I really wanted an actual copy.

Got an email from Amazon today (on release date) saying "We're still trying to obtain the following item..." very disappointed. surely they would have known yesterday so i could have ordered it from base instead.

OOS. FYI it doesn't contain disgaea 2, bit rather D2.

If anyone with a PS3 and any kind of rpg/strategy liking hasn't played these then GET TO IT. On the other hand, D5 on the PS4 is the pinnacle of the series in terms of size and mechanics. Between PS3, Vita (superb) and PS4 Disgaea games I've probably sunk over 500 hours in total :/

Preferred fire emblem, great way this game plays but becomes a little samey over time, heat tho!

It is a brilliant game. I enjoyed all the other games in the series (especially the first one, and D2 on Vita) but this game is the best in the series by some distance. It just feels like they got all the systems just right for this one.

Great game, the characters are a lot of fun. Season Pass is on sale as well, which is great since the original price for it is £28.99....

Awesome cheers pal. Love Fire Emblem on the 3ds so I'll pick this up!

:) the gameplay is similar to Fire emblem or Final fantasy Tactics so if you're into the isometric turn based rpg/strategy game then this is probably the best one on ps4..
