had one of these and it did not last past one year, kept it in the greenhouse over the winter and i guess the cold got to the plastic as it snapped after one or two uses after that. The £6.95 plastic one i bought from home bargains however is still going strong after 3 or 4 years, not sure if they still sell it but i know argos do the same one for £10

Thank you @ZanyAngel (highfive)

Draper 24L Oil-Free Air Compressor & 5pc Air Tool Kit 230V - £99.98 @ Toolstation

Hi all, Seems like a good deal to me when you consider all the free accessories included. Amazon is selling same model for £123 without accessories Product Details • 24L tank and… Read more

Would this be able to be used for a sandblaster does anyone know?

What are these used for?

No :-) The pressures are different by a factor of 25 (8 bar for this, 200 bar for a PCP cylinder). For occasional use the stirrup type pump is probably the best solution (someone posted a link above) - that is what I use. They take 5-10 minutes of hard work to get the PCP cylinder to 200 bar, which is good for about 70 shots. The alternative is decanting from a diving cylinder, which is a much bigger capital investment (and the cylinder has to be pressure tested every 2 years); this is quick, but of course each refill gets smaller as the cylinder empties (and it needs filling someone with a diving compressor).

Massive overkill. Airbrushes with their own compressor and tank are much more tolerable inside a dwelling (sit it on foam padding).

would this be suitable for use on Warhammer miniatures?

I believe Draper make red, green and blue variants of both sets in this deal, perhaps it's pot luck what colour you get sent?

Have to be honest, I owned one of these bought from RD and build quality is really poor, fell apart pretty soon last summer, and I was only going through appropriate foliage....I would suggest spending a little more as I have done with a flymo version :)

Thanks OP, don't need another one, :D but still grabbed my attention. Its a corded not a battery just incase anyone is wondering, and with discount is a good price if you need one.

Draper 3.6V Cordless Li-Ion Screwdriver and 55-Bit Kit £22.49 Robert Dyas

"Tackle all those jobs around the house" - umm, absolutely disagree. This is good only for very lightweight screwing - for example the screws on a computer case. It has torque of 4Nm, whereas a good battery drill will have at least 10 times that, and a good impact driver around 50 times. So, this would be no use for driving screws into wood (except maybe very tiny ones). I think you'll be disappointed.

I'll admit, been looking for an electric screwdriver for a while, but I'm more tempted by ones which have a generic USB power connection, as I have tons of those cables kicking around! Somthing like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cordless-Screwdriver-Rechargeable-Indicator-Extension/dp/B073533SJX

Can't wait to buy my imperial size tools for 3 shillings and a tuppence, while smoking inside a shop...

It would be good if all spanners and sockets were to be colour coded to a standard set of colours agreed by all tool makers. I would suggest that 10mm should be the most striking colour and none should be black.

I only ever hear friends in the south of England mix brought and bought up.

Nicely considered answer. Cheers.

18mm is one of the biggest in those size sets so dropping it would make a big difference in production costs(more than say, dropping the 11mm even though 11mm is pretty useless). It is also probably one of the least used in that range from a work shop point of view. European cars use 8,10,13,15,17 and 19. 16 and 18 are used but more so when there's serious work to be done(hence serious sets have them). Asian cars use mostly the even numbers so a set like this would suit most light garage work, cover most basis. 18 is used but it would be the one I'd cut if I was marketing this set. Just my opinion of course (y)

I got the 20L one as I'm doing the girls room and needed something to attach to my saw. Does the job. Only used it with the included bag though and ordered some more. The long hoover tube attachments are quite cheap and come apart easily. So is the attachment that you use on the floor, whatever its called. Would drive me crazy if I had to vacuum with it around the house! But happy with the purchase for DIY cleanup before I get the Dyson out for the remaining dust.

Or the bigger 20l version for £49.98 at Toolstation? Anyone has them, any good?

If it's the same one I got last year it's the drill, battery, charger and case. Great for light work.

Anyone know if it comes with any bits or is it just the drill, battery and charger?

https://www.toolstation.com/draper-20890-18v-li-ion-cordless-combi-drill/p76910#reviewTab If this is the one toolstation sell then it’s got favourable reviews. One negative one star review. I view this type of product as a cordless screw driver, with some occasional light duty drilling work. Is the battery the same standard Worx, Guild, Erbauer, Titan, and the the older (non-power x-change) einhell/ozito compatible batteries?

On this occasion you are missing out my friend, I got this a few months back when it was on offer as a cheap drill for round the house and to use as an electric screwdriver and it's great, long battery life and fairly powerful, have also used it to drill through brick (y)

I've had a 14.4V draper drill since 2013 and use it for odd jobs around the house. It was £25 on black friday at the time. I'd jump on this if I needed a drill.
