Draper 18v Cordless Drill - £25 @ Halfords (Free C&C)
Made hot 23rd FebMade hot 23rd Feb
I got one of these last year. Really good. Obviously low on torque but light and reliable. Does a good job and fine for most job. Hope the deal helps someone.

If it's the same one I got last year it's the drill, battery, charger and case. Great for light work.

Anyone know if it comes with any bits or is it just the drill, battery and charger?

https://www.toolstation.com/draper-20890-18v-li-ion-cordless-combi-drill/p76910#reviewTab If this is the one toolstation sell then it’s got favourable reviews. One negative one star review. I view this type of product as a cordless screw driver, with some occasional light duty drilling work. Is the battery the same standard Worx, Guild, Erbauer, Titan, and the the older (non-power x-change) einhell/ozito compatible batteries?

On this occasion you are missing out my friend, I got this a few months back when it was on offer as a cheap drill for round the house and to use as an electric screwdriver and it's great, long battery life and fairly powerful, have also used it to drill through brick (y)

I've had a 14.4V draper drill since 2013 and use it for odd jobs around the house. It was £25 on black friday at the time. I'd jump on this if I needed a drill.

Nope, payment originally was taken but since has disappeared. The delivery date has come and gone despite the item not being despatched. I've had 2 emails from Amazon apologising for the delay in despatch.

Agreed, amazons problem not mine.

Well they can't say they are selling one thing then in the small print say another thing. Ain't fussed, Amazon will just have to refund me and arrange collection.

Great for damping down the bbq when the burgers start spitting and flaring up in advance of flame grilled.

Hot from me, thanks op

very handy for car maintenance, fill with mix of diesel and engine oil and spray into sills and exposed areas under the vehicle.

These are useful for window and headlight tinters..

I've just looked at my Poundland sprayer (bought last season) - OP's (Robert Dyas) Draper version is totally different. And Draper quality tends to be significantly better than Poundland/Rolson/Amtech. For £1.80, definitely worth a punt. (Wilko online currently don't have any sprayer that resembles the Draper item.) Heat from me!

Yey. Another single item Wickes deal! Where someone will most likely post a picture that shows 1 available in Grimsby saying 'not out of stock' Even though the one in Grimsby doesn't even exist.

I picked one up a few months back when they did the same offer, it has been in use daily and still going with out issues. At this price point it is a good option you could easily spend 50 to 100 + and still get failures.

Might be a limited time error. I didn't think it would work myself.

I had a mcallister one do exact same.

Draper 18v cordless drill £25 at Halfords
LocalLocalMade hot 22nd Dec 2018Made hot 22nd Dec 2018
Cheap cordless drill. Includes battery. In store only. I’ve managed to reserve one at Dartford.

Looks like a 1.5 amp battery. Decent back up or spare still but I wouldn’t do too much work with it as you’d be forever charging the measly battery up

Has anyone had any experience with this drill before? Just wondering on the quality and power

I have to agree with a username like yours (lol) But yes seriously these are probably ok and nothing more. A decent quality set like this would probably cost £40+.

Draper and Quality are two words I'd not usually expect to see next to each other. Some of their tools are OK but many are just cheapo stuff bought in and badged, I suspect they don't make anything these days. I suppose this kit might be useful but cheap tools are usually a false economy

How can you tell me that my experiences with this device aren’t true; I’m a electronics engineer of thirty years standing trained in the RAF, I bought this to use in the field as I repair many coax RF cable systems and it’s junk, I bought the battery one through frustration from lidl and it works a treat, nothing personal here, it’s a fact, perhaps I got the only under performing item in the country...keep your unsubstantiated opinions about my experiences to yourself.

I have this soldering iron and none of the above is true! And you are actually recommending a battery soldering iron, ROFL

You mean modern leadless solder? Agreed. Nothing worse than an iron which does heat up enough or quickly. It also seems to be a bit difficult to fill 'It's easier for my wife to suck a golfball through a hosepipe than it is to refill this' :)

For £19, I have ordered this. The alternative was a Bosch Ixo, from Argos, which would've cost £35.

Fantastic bit of kit, great value at this price I use one regularly battery has not failed me yet goes all day and gives great control too.

I have a Bosch IXO Cordless Screwdriver that has the forward reverse switch in a similar position, and it’s a pain, I keep pushing the switch when using it. Bosch moved the switch to the top on subsequent models.

I don't have this specific one but another that cost me £10 with the same torque. It's really fantastic. Perfect for IKEA builds and even use it to screw into wood. Surprisingly strong.

is it any good though?
