"In the event of gas flame extinguishing, internal flame safety device cuts off gas supply, for peace of mind." Got to love that description in the advert - a legal requirement to be able to sell since 2010.

Quidco only tracked £6.25 🤔
I've ordered one (thanks OP)... I used Quidco which said £50 Cashback, but it's only tracked at £6.25, anyone else had this?
I bought something like this 15 years ago, maybe £800 I think? dual ovens never get used other than as pan storage. the pizeo ignition fails after 1 year and a day the metallic coating on the knobs come off at year 2 I wouldn't buy one unless you seriously make meals requiring more than 4 pans. Personally I find not having an eye level grill really annoying. The oven temperature seems a bit high, normally I put everything on two gas marks lower, and when I can smell the food then it's done, otherwise it's burnt. on the plus side, they intially look very nice
Gas is more familiar to people who've used it for a long time, and people are resistant to change. I've never had an induction cooker and have this Rangemaster duel which I find to be excellent. I think it would be a bit of a gamble to switch to induction purely because I've never used it nor have any friends/family members who have one so have no idea if it's better (I'm sure it is since it's much newer technology). Having said that, I'm a bit fed up of having to revert to matches whenever the igniter on the gas hobs don't heat up, plus clean up is a nightmare on these gas cookers.
I'd stick with what you ordered. Better quality
Natwest reward customers get a further 10% cashback at ao. Not forgetting the usual casback through Topcashback or Quidco (3%).
Cooking on gas (or electric) (mad)
I have same one.. had it about 9 years without an issue... Great price..
If anyone switching to bulb energy, it's better to use a friend's referral link rather than a cashback site. It's giving £100 discount until Monday.
In addition to the above, these days you'd often save more than £30 going with different providers for gas and electricity rather than a dual fuel deal with one supplier.
People should really first compare standing charges and rates.. don't switch because of 'cashback'.
Argh wish I'd known. I've just switched to Bulb, over £400 cheaper that SEE.
You seem to have omitted the fact you will also get 100 quid. Plus referrals aren't allowed.
My local Wilkos had the same or similar dual BBQ for less than this. Might be worth checking if you have a nearby one.
I don't understand why people are giving it COLD, because there is no other bbq which has both Gas/Charcoal options is around £199....Cheapest I could find is £400+ (shock)
I'm not sure scrimper. I assumed it's dropped as Argos are advertising it as "Our Lowest Price". Also I couldn't find any bbq/grill which had the combination of Gas and Charoal options for this price. Unless you can find a better one???
Has anyone received their hue bulbs yet?
Same exact thing happened to me ended up a couple of hundred out of pocket. Then two years later got a cheque out of the blue covering the amount plus another one for about £60 as compensation. Lucky I was still at the same house or never would have had anything back.
I hate to quote a comment typed in all caps, but on this one I have to agree - they are an absolute bunch of rip off merchants. I joined them when I moved into my current place and had few issues with them initially, but after I left to go elsewhere, the problems began. About 6 months after I left I received an additional bill for a few hundred pounds, saying that they'd been having issues with their IT systems and that I'd been billed wrongly. It was a struggle but I paid it, figuring it was owed. Sadly it hadn't come to mind to challenge it. 10 months later again and a bill for £700 of 'incorrect charges' comes through. Only at this point did I realise that there was something fishy going on so I challenged it straight away. A few days after challenging I had my appeal verdict: you need to pay and if you don't we will start enforcement action. I wasn't impressed as I had been with another firm for the better part of 18 months at that point. I challenged a second time and pointed out how long I'd not been a customer - they're not allowed to come after you for wrongly billed funds after a year - needless to say that appeal went the same way - "you need to pay it or we will begin enforcement action against you". At this point I'd had enough and did a quick Google to see what my options were and came across the Energy Ombudsman. I appealed via them and within 48 hours had a call back from nPower confirming that there was nothing due and it had all been one big misunderstanding. Yeah, right. A few days later I received a cheque for my initial few hundred pounds back and a letter explaining they'd been having billing issues due to a change of computer system. Whilst I can sympathise with any organisation in transition between systems, their behaviour and refusal to acknowledge the obvious issue with the timeframes involved made it quite clear to me that they were only 'trying it on' to try and extract more cash from me. Needless to say, regardless of what attractive offers they have (free Nest, etc), I will never go back to them and I would strongly advise that others do the same. R.
Signed up. £90 cash back, Hue kit, 5% less per year and on a renewable electricity only deal. Cheers OP.
Don't include me in this. I have been with them for many years. Always managed to switch to a better tariff rather than switch and their customer support have always been good when I've needed it. If you submit your own meter readings monthly so they can assess your usage you should be fine. This likely applies to all providers.
Yep gone back up. I needed a few days to decide if this was for me. Hopefully it comes back down!
Coming up at £399 on both links..
it comes in two boxes and some no nails
gas is garbage buy a induction hob and self cleaning oven
Cheers. Got the black one for £104 after all my club card vouchers. Bargain
I have had mine two - three years. For the price it is now its a good deal, but I would never have one again, too many issues that work out expensive as the warranty is surprisingly no longer !!
Available for approx £240 (with code) in Black or White finish: HUD61K Black HUD61P White
thanks saved over £200 . its a shame tesco dont do extended care plans on their appliances
This coupon has ran out does anybody no another one please X
ISJ66 thank you for answering that question. Snoopy18, I'd go with isj66, I've never seen how one is fitted behind the cooker....didn't even know what you were losing about. Sorry.
Hi does it come with a connection hose?
It's here! It's gorgeous! Jalp22 thank you so much for posting this deal. For the last year I've been searching for.... A not black in colour (current old cannon is black), 60cm, with lid / splash thingy (whatever you call it) with safety cut out had cooker too replace our 10yr old cannon. This was just right and the price even better. Looking forward to all of yours arriving too. Cheers all :)
12% quidco too?
Just had a phone call from the delivery driver saying he will be here within the hour . Even though I had a cancellation email . Let's see if it turns up .
Did they deliver
Mine hasn't I've checked today
Mine was put back on my card yesterday
Errrrrrr, I hope not. They've all been cancelled
Its saying £649.99 now, which is still a good price. We're looking for a 90cm one, and the average is about £800 - £900
looks like a lot of cooker for the price! heated
Calor etc do a "bury it under the ground" tank, if you are lucky they may accidentally place it ontop of your other half and the life insurance will pay for a gas pipe ;) networked gas is so much cheaper than LPG deliveries!
The REAL central belt - Tayside, N. Fife & Perthshire dont have gas just outside cities, enjoy it you fraudster! ;) lol
Does not work I tried to buy and it said "RANGEBLACK" code has now ended
no, you may be thinking of the Aga one's
Are these the 'always on' type of cookers?
there's not a region in the UK where customers can't find fixed deals a lot more than £100 cheaper than the OP's however - I do see a use for it: 1. you're moving house - if you time it right you could get the deal & the £100 vouchers then leave the new owners saddled with this pea-poor tariff 2. you're a serial switcher - you get this deal & the vouchers then switch to one of the countless better deals straight away - if you time this for non-winter months (ie no central heating) then the over-priced bills you pay with SSE are not a major consideration (maybe 2 months worth?)
What makes you think I am overpaying? I don't live in an area that SSE have provision rights for, so they could well be the cheapest option for me. They're not, it's OVO Energy, who I use, but changes in every postcode based on your consumption. So wind your neck in, mind your own business and let the people can benefit from the OP's post do so, until you have actual relevant information to everyone this could affect. Have a nice day.
You had enough yet luvsadealdealdeal ?!
awful deal :)
freezing in hell iced over
They're awesome. We have a falcon gas hob/leccy oven range thats been going for 12 years without a single hiccup.
I think times are changing, some Michelin restaurants are now using induction over gas. Maybe it's just the Chefs with copper pots that are reluctant to ditch the gas
Most Chefs will still take Gas all day over an Induction cooker.
Have to agree with louiselouise. My parents thought they'd invest in a 'top of the range' cooker and got a Smeg. Had multiple issues since ownership. The digital clock / timer went and the repair cost was as much as new cooker. Avoid. Style over subsance.
sounds a bit like what I went through it's not looking good!
I have ordered one. Almoust the same.I phone them up and they said money wasn't cleared from my bank.I have checked this and it was.So I asked manager to phone me up.Finally they said there was the problem on their site and they will ring me with delivery slot in next 24h. they said they have few orders with that problem!
