(personal opinion) hmmmm Interesting but i think this is not going to cut it once you have stayed at one of their 7* hotels.. (Jumairah ) Good for budget holiday but staying in a Budget hotel in Dubai.... where everything is so lavish ....

coldvoter

I don't think any company include local taxes as this needs to be paid locally and can't be prepaid.

Avkaan

You should check whether these include taxes as dubai tourist tax can be sizeable

I got BA flights for £319 and Virgin for £322. Indirect flights with Turkish were £268. Great find, I just wish I had 3 friends :(

Worth mentioning that terms and conditions are £300 minimum spend per person.

LivesInABox

Just a heads up - I've been keeping an eye on BA flights for a while, and since this offer started, most of the flights i've been checking on are around 100 more expensive...will be interesting to see if they drop back down afterwards. Some of the oversubscribed routes have stayed the same price, so you might be able to snag a better flight (if you assume BA is better than say norwegian to new york). That said, having flown economy long haul a few times, i haven't really seen much difference personally.

atchy82

Yes, maybe someone in the know can explain. Similar deal for only £50 off went hot not long ago, and a more expensive one for rtn flights London to Dubai went even hotter.... lots of Scots in today? Glad it helped pal

winston337

Don’t see why this is cold. Just saved £198. So happy I browsed HUKD today.

Worked for me, as an existing Exec Club member :/ . I got it via an email, but there being a link would negate the 'invite only' possibility. EDIT: A colleague had problems, he needed first to convert his account on the My Executive Club page. This error message popped up: After using the dedicated link ( https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/flights-and-holidays/flights ) the discount code worked :) Description updated to reflect

True - Dubai is incredibly westernised, they serve alcohol in most restaurants and night clubs, it costs a lot more than in the UK. Royal Brunei flight to Dubai is direct to Dubai. I bought the tickets cheaper via Kayak though (back in December). No alcohol was served but you could smell it from some passengers who drank from the bottles bought in Heathrow duty free, no one was arrested for that :-)

The oldest (known) church in the world is in KSA but it's not promoted. Did you know that discussion of atheism in KSA carries the same penalties as terrorism! I went to KSA a few years back and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't quite as "bad" as I expected. Then again, most of the actual dissent in KSA is not highlighted. It wouldn't be a system I'd choose to live under, by any stretch of the imagination but the younger Saudis were happy to see change in the future towards a more open society. They were realistic enough to understand that it will take considerable time for that to be realised but they were certain it would change. Even as an infidel, I'd like to see some promotion of tidying up the country, as it really is a bit of a tip. They could introduce a law that considers despoiling "the land of Mohammed" as some sort of serious offense. I've never seen so much fly tipping in my life as KSA!! .

gtd65

I'm sure you'll find some of those aspects in KSA as well, to be objective.

Problem is your post in Dubai might have entitled you to a free prison visit. Dubai is a country where you need to very very careful when visiting.

Modsareahit

We don't imprison people that break our laws we take into account that they had a bad upbringing, are socially disadvantaged, got out of bed the wrong side or went to Eton or Rugby, Oxford or Cambridge or had a good solicitor then we tell them that murder, rape etc and mowing down innocent people whilst drunk is naughty

loofer

perhaps we shouldn't imprison people that break our laws here either? Yes some of the rules they have there are a bit flippant and mostly catch foreigners out but should we also stop advertising UK as a place to visit, work & study too?

Always worth doing research on the places you want to visit just to in case your chosen lifestyle is not compatible with their ways.

I wouldn't go to Dubai if you paid me. Chance of getting locked up for silly things like inadvertantly touching someone, swearing, sharing a room with someone you're not married to or kissing in public ? I read one last month of a guy giving a w@nker sign to someone who cut him up while driving being imprisoned for it. Backward, stupid country. Why even chance it ? Oh really what was so bad abt it? I just flew with them last week and found them better than BA because: 1. Free food and drinks on the flight (unlike BA). 2. Free 23 kg checked in luggage (unlike BA). 3. On board entertainment system for a 4hr flight to Istanbul (BA has no entertainment system on most short haul flights). 4. Unlike BA, if you fly Turkish airlines you keep your laptop and mobile in hand carry. BA being loyal to Trump policies force you to check them in. 5. Turkish airlines was quiet a bit cheaper. plus the plane was new and flight on time. What's there not to like?

Dan__

I had no choice, my trip was already booked in advance and I got a good price on them. I had 1 stop over on the way and back. So total was 4 flights. I just know that I wont ever be flying with them again no matter how cheap they are.

Yes, if you don't show for the first leg, all subsequent legs will be cancelled. The only leg you can ditch is the final one from London back to Barcelona, IF you have a very long time in between flights or if it leaves from another London airport - in both instances you will get your luggage back. Just don't ever say you have no intention of taking the last leg. I would never chance it for the outgoing flight. It just doesn't work. You have no choice but to go to Barcelona, or pay the price fare and go from London.

nothingmuch

Hi, Would this still be the case if there is a change of airport involved as above? I'm sorry fr all the questions but wanting to make sure before I make a huge mistake, it would be saving me over £200 for the dates I'm looking at and due to time constraints it makes it difficult to get a flight to Barcelona first.

rachelandgromit

You can't do this otherwise all legs will be cancelled. You must do the Barcelona to London leg.

nothingmuch

Hello, can someone tell me if I have a flight from Barcelona to Duabi, but I dont want to take the Barcelona to London leg of the journey, just London to Dubai, how would this work?

Can't find the flight from Dubai back to Barc via London. I think that flight must be fully booked.
