These do not keep out light very much at all. I’ll be taking them back tomorrow. Very thin bit of material and not for me. Not sure what curtains you bought ellbee but not th same as these ones

ellbee

They certainly keep out the light in my house. No need to buy blackout curtains with the thickness of these.

19DembaBa19

No no I need blackout curtains and I thought this was velvet curtains

ellbee

No - and no. This is what you're after from Argos eBay - https://tinyurl.com/y7uhzqjm

I think they've thought of that! T&Cs "Passengers are not permitted to bring luggage"! As regards, buying a 2nd ticket, the deal is also available from Dublin to Holyhead for €6.50 from stenaline.ie.

flamethrower

wow really ? that should be in their T&C's then.

Exactly!

Metal_gee_man

Are the airline going to penalise you if you don't make the LHR to DUB return journey basically leaving the airport with your hand luggage (no you couldn't have any hold baggage as this would be being transferred to the DUB flight)

futura

You can do the same with indirect flights from Manchester to last Vegas via Heathrow with back, it's cheaper than from Heathrow direct even though you're on the same flight from Heathrow. Silly really but there's more competition from Manchester so prices are lower

yozzman1234

We did this exact flight . Got them even cheaper at around £305 pp . We wasn’t going to tKe the risk with Ryanair having a delayed flight , as if this happens you would lose all flights then , so we still booked Ryanair flights but for the day before and after our return, then booked the premier inn Dublin at the airport. 2 nights €100 , flights £9.99 each way . But with luggage just over £100 . So worked out £405 pp even with 2 nights hotel . We saved £400 total , which was extra spending money . Would I do it again ? NO We fly next May with Thomas Cook £505 pp but that’s premium both ways direct from Manchester

i never take the last flight back to dublin arrive at heathrow and take train home

Oh dear,

russcopcoltrane

Well it was not a joke to me. My mother, who in my opinion over-reacted, actually sent me away to live with relatives after one, fairly minor incident.

WeeWifie

You missed the joke there I think! He was playing on the Prince of Bel Air Tv show theme lyrics.

russcopcoltrane

Sadly that is true, I used to live there as a younger man and it was vey relaxed. I remember long care free days on the playground, hanging with friends and playing basketball. It all changed though

Awesomeness-in-your-mouth

totally recommend the hotel -except for the wait for the lift! Stayed there this summer - really great rooms but you don't come to New York for the rooms - howver £70 is bargain for this hotel - I paid £200 for four of us. Walking distance to the WTC, Liberty, Wall St, Walls St Bull, Battery Park, etc, and also the #1 line is really close by - less than 5 mins to take you up to, Time Square, Empire, Central Park and The Rock. You can have breakfast onsite but if on a budget or want to experience other places there are quite a few cafes around - also Dunkin Donut is right outside - they have a online survey I filled in each day to get a free donut from the receipts - saved me about $30 - did the surveys on the free internet use PCs in the lobby whilst waiting for family to get ready. Tip - buy each item seperate so you get multiple receipts and multiple online codes. If you have kids you will be pleased to get them donuts for breakfast otherwise they actually do decent tea and breakfast. I would recommend the 24hr cafe just around the corner - Cafe De Novo - really good breakfast baps and late night food - it is very deceptive, looks scruffy but noticed all the locals went there - a good sign and the food is relatively cheap compared to the rest. Also the big one for me - they treat the customers with respect compared to other places (avoid China Town and Charleys) Century 21 is also about ten minutes walk - big discount store for your bargains but shop in New Jersey for the better deals or Macys - Do not go to to the shopping outlet in New Jersey - I forgot its name but it is the same as Bicester Village but more expensive!
