I see. I was selecting the option to collect in store so that’s probably where I was going wrong. Many thanks indeed.

devinn

on the page after you choose a delivery date it says redeem an offer code, and thats where you put the code in

silebyboy

This is probably a silly question but where do you enter the code on the Curry’s website to get the money off? I’m trying to purchase this but for the life of me can’t see where you stick the code in.

PraveenThamm-ddb44.42393

Hi guys just wanted to ask has anybody’s order gone through using this Code ? I bought American fridge but they cancelled my order saying this code is not valid but when I go through Currys site order went then I called Currys they said they didn’t receive enough money as I used code hence they cancelled it

Colin8836

Just bought one as my previous ecobubble packed in this afternoon after over 7 years use. The drum support spider has corroded and broken which unfortunately is a common problem. Went through Quidco as getting the extra £10 back on a £50 spend at Curry's this weekend. The part to repair would cost about £90 plus the trouble of fitting myself so for an extra £250 new machine with 5 year warranty

nihcaj

The Samsung site has this, and other retailers eg. John Lewis also are promoting it. Plus the terms and conditions ( https://api.my-samsung.com/UploadImages/terms/TermsConditionsGeneral_2799.pdf ) have this - "This offer only applies to the purchase between 1 August 2018 and 31 July 2019..... " I wold double ceheck with Samsung though!

DubDriver

Ah I see, I was confused by the statement below that picture

diktiomenos

No, it hasn't, check the dates:

DubDriver

Sadly that offer has finished

nihcaj

This item MIGHT be a better deal than it first appears, the model seems to qualify for a 5 year warranty upgrade from the standard 2 years, but if I were you I would double check the conditions in case of any hidden exemptions, and it has to be registered within 90 days too: https://my-samsung.com/uk/mysamsung/offers/#/NCPU2CWZUEA8F/

spongebob1913

I’ve tried all!

dandeagle

Are you using powder, pod or liquid?

ddavis

Nice one, bought :) I'd been on the prowl for a new washing machine in all the eBay deals.

spongebob1913

i have one of these - i find the detergent doesnt foam in it - not sure why!?

nathanlhughes

If you look at the terms and conditions you'll see that eBay doesn't qualify for the 5 year warranty

Curry’s really annoy me at times, where do they get there prices?! :/

devinn

That one went back up in price to £549, you got a good deal there

HELEN169C

Me too on Monday

jojo_86

We’ve just got the same machine in 8kg 1400rpm for £330 I think with the 10% off code. It might still be one if there hot deals ?

kamania

The one posted earlier for £449 comes with 5 years Guarantee, this comes with 2.

TheHun6

Don't be too hard on yourself. LG's reputation for build quality, reliability and longevity is generally better than Samsung.

kamania

Is m in the same scenario, so many makes and models now... Every other site has a different list of best washing machines (annoyed)

devinn

The one in this link is cheaper but it only has a 7kg capacity https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-ww70j5555fxeu-7-kg-1400-spin-washing-machine-graphite-34140-wcode-currys-3041493?pprmrkntfctnsrd=75940849

PalG

My washer just broke. Is this the best thing for this price?

ebll

expired, price went up :(

kwasny2000

Flip turns out it's a bit high and not sure it's gonna fit instead of my integrated one

Cerwin_01

Just order it online. i've ordered the graphite for delivery wednesday. white version is now showing a delay on delivery - probably back order :D

kwasny2000

Just asked salesman if the code works in-store as well, he didn't liked it said it dodgy code and that I won't get the warranty if I use it

This dropped a little in price so only cost me £332'ish in the end. Thanks OP!

foes4you

I would love to buy one of these But my Russel Hobbs washing machine just goes on and on and on.

jon67

I've just got rid of a Samsung washing machine and bought a new one the same as this. I had no problem with calling them out in the last few months of the 5 year warranty on 2 occasions with parts and labour covered on both occasions.

Baz417

Thanks Chanchi. I got it last time you posted from argos for £324. Excellent machine. 🔥 Added.

quagmireuk

I have to agree - great no frills machine - highly recommend!!

MontBelzoni

have this machine....nice price

dodgymix

They’re good as advertising it

keifrb

http://www.samsung.com/uk/fiveyearwarranty 2. Purchases must be made from a participating retailer in the UK or Republic of Ireland. Purchases made from Electronic Empire, Ebay, Amazon marketplace, Premier AV Centre, Total Digital, Brighthouse, BC Services, Perfect Homes, RLR Distribution, Deals4U, Appliance World, All Your Appliance, In Stock Appliance or Kasastore are excluded.

Schwifty

Just a thought??! Well let's hope the magistrate agrees when you're dragged in to answer for your slander. Slander!!!!!!! Yeah aye so anyways you're wrong according to AO. I'll find out soon enough I bought the one I posted.

Scooby2520

That’s a lot of W’s and 5’s , heat from me

Schwifty

Would be expensive to transport it abroad too and perhaps have issues with electricity? Still I feel your pain, we all want to fall in love with a machine and take it with us wherever we go.

Arai

was going to get one yesterday, unfortunatelly im very dissapointed with samsung warranty. I will be moving abroad in next few months and warranty is valid in UK only. In other countries they can try fix it in unlimited time and wont replace if cannot be fixed. Rubbish IMO.

Schwifty

Winning!! :)

ghow007

It says 20% off with code and free recycling on their eBay store (in the confirmation email following purchase it confirms recycling being taking the old washer away as long as disconnected) so I’ve taken a screen shot and will show them if they refuse.

Schwifty

Good stuff, better than nothing, if it's at the front door and all waiting to go then perhaps even better, failing that a confused face and a "I was sure it was in the order" might see you through and if all else fails a five pound note and an offer of a cup of tea might just tip the scales.

avid.fan

Thanks...this looks good and getting ready to replace our Bosch..served well for 7+ years but some washes come out with these gunky muddy smears on them.

Chink2love

I know it shows you how long it has left but believe you can pause and start the machine

gfoggin

What is the wifi used for?

Roger_Irrelevant

Ours is still going strong after two years doing probably 5 washes a week. Unlike the Hotpoint one before it which had lighter use and was about to break it's second set of main bearings before I got rid. (y)

HutchAW

Good find @Chink2love - thanks for sharing :)

jeti9

AEG, Zanussi , Electrolux is same company, they are decent , there's a few deals on HUKD

saraye

you've put me right off, think I'll get aeg this time. Had an LG for 8 years and it's given up on me now....

jeti9

The other threads are saying Samsung are only built to last 5-6 years as corrosion damages the main parts. Look on the recent Samsung washing machine threads!!!!!

chris.rudland

Previously mentioned. And you get 5% tcb

capa

Thanks fiqqer. I'm looking to pick up a similar one today in the local Curry's as our washing machine pack in last night.. There are so many LG's that all appear to have the same spec but with different model numbers. This one looks pretty close to the one you picked up. Currys LG FH4U2VCN2

fiqqer

LG F4J6VY2W from John Lewis for £419. Originally £379 from appliances direct but they failed to deliver for a saturday delivery. My day is worth more than the £40 saving so plumped for the John Lewis which is far more reliable.

Yasin89

The price is coming up at £449!

capa

Which LG did you buy?

fiqqer

Yes, because the drum is steel and the spider is aluminium. They will react against each other, with the stronger one - dissolving the weaker one. This will happen however you treat your washing machine. The Ecobubble seems particularly susceptible to this, as do other brands which use a similar aluminium "spider".

mikester

expired

jeti9

Any links please

MaxiB

400...slight exaggeration but you get the point. Still back at the butt-end of the market. Still waiting for it to get fixed too! Engineer never showed up yesterday. Granted I put a 5 day spanner in the works by going down the RA/uplift route and subsequently appt. for 10th being cancelled. But after rescheduling again for 15th May, they never even turned up!! Was told he was running late but he didn't show. Pish poor really. After all this I think I'm going to make a strong point of not buying Samsung again for a veeery long time. Definitely not been worth all the aggro

MontBelzoni

am running the ecobubble 8kg 1400 spin with the 5 year guarantee had it running 2 years and so far running very well no issues runs nice and smoothly

mogsog

See video: Both your experiences are likely caused by the massive issue of corrosion in these machines. Models from last year AFAIK are still using differing metals on the motor and drive assembly which causes the issues. Don't buy!

abdullah_musa

Check out the recent LG washer dryer deal. LG are better than Samsung.

amsa

Hello. I'm new to this forum so I apologise in advance for my ignorance. I really want to invest in a washer dryer, why hasn't this item got any heat? What should I be looking for? At minus £100, I thought this was a great deal! Please can someone enlighlighten me? Thank you.

tanked

Tried to order using code but told it has expired :( There is a £10 off code: 10OFFAO

faisalali

the reason why samsung washers spins loud because it needs to be calibrated once done the drum will balance and weigh clothes accurate

nihcaj

So it's from no source at all. Thought so.

vhero

Grundig are made by BEKO but there more premium line. They are great and never in my 2 years working in Currys had a single machine returned or complaint. I only buy LG or Beko./Grundig for my washing machines depending on the deal. Anything else is either overpriced for what it is or breaks too easy.

vhero

Me working for Currys for 2 years in white goods I sold the bloody things lol.

diktiomenos

Did you change both the rinse and spin cycles to zero?

mercurystar999

Is it as good as the LG one posted above?

sjs31

Hi, and thanks for the suggestion. I've tried a 'no spin' option but it still lets the last rinse water drain away. Soggy clothes sit in the drum and get badly creased. Previous machine would go through rinse cycles as normal and then (if selected) hold the last rinse water in the drum, in effect pausing the final spin, until I was ready to spin clothes. It was a very useful option if going out whilst machine running.

merikiito

Our LG Direct Drive has finally packed up after 11 years so we have replaced it with another one. The Co op have one for £319 less 20% with the Ebay code

mercurystar999

This or the LG?

dogtanian84

What is the correct depth of this as curry's have it listed as 63cm and John Lewis has it listed as 55cm

nihcaj

You think that's bad, Coventry City council offer nothing at all, just some tie-in with a charity that arbitrarily collects some stuff and not others for fees that aren't even published!

Dissatisfied_dad

Bloody hell, and I thought Barnsley council were bad, they charge £10 per item, so a 3 piece suite is £30....

TheHun6

That's a bargain. Bournemouth Council does not offer this service at all. Poole council charges £30 plus an additional £10 if the item to collect is on the first floor.

Gort1951

Good point.

PM13

I got my machine, delivery guy refused to take old machine.... I phoned ao who tried to call him and then arranged for another delivery guy to pick it up on Sunday

InTheKnow444

Hotpoint, avoid

johnnybrando1981

Code doesn't work :(

PM13

Looks like they removed the offer, currys seem to have same with code now as well

bd1981bd

Code doesn’t work
