AEG, Zanussi , Electrolux is same company, they are decent , there's a few deals on HUKD

you've put me right off, think I'll get aeg this time. Had an LG for 8 years and it's given up on me now....

The other threads are saying Samsung are only built to last 5-6 years as corrosion damages the main parts. Look on the recent Samsung washing machine threads!!!!!

Previously mentioned. And you get 5% tcb

Thanks fiqqer. I'm looking to pick up a similar one today in the local Curry's as our washing machine pack in last night.. There are so many LG's that all appear to have the same spec but with different model numbers. This one looks pretty close to the one you picked up. Currys LG FH4U2VCN2

LG F4J6VY2W from John Lewis for £419. Originally £379 from appliances direct but they failed to deliver for a saturday delivery. My day is worth more than the £40 saving so plumped for the John Lewis which is far more reliable.

The price is coming up at £449!

Which LG did you buy?

Yes, because the drum is steel and the spider is aluminium. They will react against each other, with the stronger one - dissolving the weaker one. This will happen however you treat your washing machine. The Ecobubble seems particularly susceptible to this, as do other brands which use a similar aluminium "spider".

Any links please

400...slight exaggeration but you get the point. Still back at the butt-end of the market. Still waiting for it to get fixed too! Engineer never showed up yesterday. Granted I put a 5 day spanner in the works by going down the RA/uplift route and subsequently appt. for 10th being cancelled. But after rescheduling again for 15th May, they never even turned up!! Was told he was running late but he didn't show. Pish poor really. After all this I think I'm going to make a strong point of not buying Samsung again for a veeery long time. Definitely not been worth all the aggro

am running the ecobubble 8kg 1400 spin with the 5 year guarantee had it running 2 years and so far running very well no issues runs nice and smoothly

See video: Both your experiences are likely caused by the massive issue of corrosion in these machines. Models from last year AFAIK are still using differing metals on the motor and drive assembly which causes the issues. Don't buy!

Check out the recent LG washer dryer deal. LG are better than Samsung.

Hello. I'm new to this forum so I apologise in advance for my ignorance. I really want to invest in a washer dryer, why hasn't this item got any heat? What should I be looking for? At minus £100, I thought this was a great deal! Please can someone enlighlighten me? Thank you.

Tried to order using code but told it has expired :( There is a £10 off code: 10OFFAO

the reason why samsung washers spins loud because it needs to be calibrated once done the drum will balance and weigh clothes accurate

So it's from no source at all. Thought so.

Grundig are made by BEKO but there more premium line. They are great and never in my 2 years working in Currys had a single machine returned or complaint. I only buy LG or Beko./Grundig for my washing machines depending on the deal. Anything else is either overpriced for what it is or breaks too easy.

Me working for Currys for 2 years in white goods I sold the bloody things lol.

Did you change both the rinse and spin cycles to zero?

Is it as good as the LG one posted above?

Hi, and thanks for the suggestion. I've tried a 'no spin' option but it still lets the last rinse water drain away. Soggy clothes sit in the drum and get badly creased. Previous machine would go through rinse cycles as normal and then (if selected) hold the last rinse water in the drum, in effect pausing the final spin, until I was ready to spin clothes. It was a very useful option if going out whilst machine running.

Our LG Direct Drive has finally packed up after 11 years so we have replaced it with another one. The Co op have one for £319 less 20% with the Ebay code

This or the LG?

What is the correct depth of this as curry's have it listed as 63cm and John Lewis has it listed as 55cm

You think that's bad, Coventry City council offer nothing at all, just some tie-in with a charity that arbitrarily collects some stuff and not others for fees that aren't even published!

Bloody hell, and I thought Barnsley council were bad, they charge £10 per item, so a 3 piece suite is £30....

That's a bargain. Bournemouth Council does not offer this service at all. Poole council charges £30 plus an additional £10 if the item to collect is on the first floor.

Good point.

Shame i cant get the tumble dryer for the money ;(

...30 Year Manufacturer Warranty On Quiet Drive Motor of Haier HW80-B14636 Hatrium A+++ 8Kg for £269 after P10AO from AO Ebay

This or the direct drive LG for £40 more, both with 5 years warranty, some reviews say this shakes a bit.

You call it brilliant, then proceed to bash it. #sarcasm? Or are the only cons to an otherwise brilliant machine?

I can confirm this is wrong. It's the seller NOT the platform that Samsung care about. I bought this exact model via the Curry's ebay site a couple of months ago. I've registered the machine with Samsung and have the 5 year warranty.

No longer available, looks like clearing a run out model....just tried to order. (annoyed)

If you have suspended flooring then definitely not. Lg has motor on rear and not suitable for suspended flooring. I found this out the hard way. The machine shakes and bangs around.

I have this. It's a really good machine. Paid £279 from Curry's before Xmas when eBay offered 20% off + £30 off from Curry's

Hard choice between these two and the argos one for £299 (7kg, LG, 2 year warranty one)

I commented above few days ago due to delivery men having wrong house number somehow.

Anyone having delivery problems?

Mine didn't on the tracker and I thought nothing of it as house number was on invoice note. And drivers were given wrong house number.

Mine has the correct address but no door number on!

I got a Samsung washing machine a year ago and has been great so far. Can't fault it. I'm keeping the new one and giving my mum the other one as she needs a new washing machine.

Looks like I should feel lucky. Advised delivery was 4/1 but then I've got a text it's going to be delivered on 31/12 (!). I called them to change address (ordered by mistake to the work address) and they said they can only cancel and re-book. Same info when tried to contact them through ebay, with the addition that the item is out of stock atm. I called currys again, this time a nice man changed the delivery address (why others couldn't?) and date to the 5/1 and the delivery was faultless. Happy with the machine too. I regretted my impuls order (needed washing machine anyway as our Zanussi still going strong, but is 11 years old) without checking reviews. ,Someone said that the door hinge is plastic and LG is better with metal. Other people said about no possibility of just draining the water or just spinning... My Samsung (made in Poland, probably irrelevant) has solid metal hinges. Drains the water and can spin only. The cotton washing times get shorter if you put less washing in. Early days, but it seem to be OK. If it only wasn't so noisy. It is noise than my old Zanussi. The turning of the drum is a whisper, but the machine hums constantly as if the pump is working all the time or something. Also vibrates a lot spinning on 1400. Apart from that seem to be doing good job. Instructions are a must though.

Yeah It works 1400rpm for 14 mins thanks :)

Can spin only. Use spin + rinse program and turn off rinse. Done.

They messed up with me too. First said Thursday then Tuesday then Thursday. The tracking today had no date so u rang up and he said i can book it for tomorrow. Got a text from knowhow few hours later about booking thank God. Iv been without a washer for 2 weeks! Currys are busy beacuse everyones buying a washing machine apparently. Just hold on if you can as the prices have gone up, may be ask for a free fitting etc.

Currys have ballsed up on the delivery. Now they say that they have none in stock despite showing over 100 or so units at time of ordering. I was told it was to be delivered on 4th of Jan then told my order was suspended then told it was re-ordered to be delivered on Tuesday 2nd of Jan then told it was to be delivered on Weds 3rd of Jan and now told no more stock till today 4th Jan and now being told that they can't say when item will be delivered and to contact Currys e-bay. What a bunch of utter tw@ts. Never ever going to by from Currys PC-Word ever again Useless company misleading customers.

How do you get this deal

Ermm ours was delivered yesterday. However although invoice and order confirmation had correct address, the drivers did not. Over 30mins on phone to get machine delivered and showing invoices etc.

Anyone been let down by Currys' incompetent delivery system?

Zanussi is technically Hotpoint. The fact that you get 5 years warranty speaks for itself. Even Miele have cut down on their these days.

How do Samsung washing machines compare? I imagine they're significantly better than Indesit/Hotpoint and not up there with Miele, but where are they in comparison to Bosch, Siemens, AEG and Zanussi?

Anyone been let down by Currys' incompetent delivery system?

Just bought this. Delivered today it's great but nothing in it mentioned the 5 year warranty or registering it

Thanks. Yesterday they were £399 so this is cheapest

Yea website doesn’t show 10% off anymore must have been an error. Therefore this needs expiring/ updating the price to £379. Think John Lewis is cheapest for this mode now then £359?

Im looking for the best price on the 6410 as its a WW6000 as opposed to this which is a WW5000 so the next model up. Best price for the 6410 i have so far is AO for £429 less £40 using code. I was looking at this one at Currys this morning and it definitely had 10% off but now that has gone.

We have had LG and currently have an 11kg ecobubble. I hated the LG as I had wooden floorboards in my old house and every time it went on spin it sounded like it was about to take off. Could feel it jibbering around in my son's bedroom and it drove me nuts. That said, it also had the Currys coverplan and I really tried my best to kill it off. Had it 10 years in the end and everything but the shell was replaced in that time. Gifted it to another family in the end as I needed a bigger drum size. The ecobubble is 2 years old, it has the occasional issue with an unbalanced load but there is 're calibration mode you can run (see youtube) which sorts it out. If it won't spin and it sounds like it's grinding and clunking then it's worth running that mode. We recently had a new pcb fitted and although out of warranty and not covered by Currys, Samsung covered the full cost. But personally, as someone who really gets fair usage from their machines, if you can go for the coverplan from Currys or Ao I would. It's certainly been the most cost effective option for us.

Samsung also gives 10 years parts only warranty on Inverter Motors, and is higher rated in Which! reliability surveys than LG.

Similar rating on trustpilot

Is it better to just pay £10 extra and buy it from currys?

Spend £249+ on any Washing Machine and get £10 off. By using code: LKA10R

Contacted Currys support, code has disappeared from website and they will no longer honour it!

Cant find the currys chat support for them to be able to provide me with a new code. The one quoted by OP doesnt work for me :(

HI I ordered one but was given another code. my cashback only tracked at £2.42 so will probably have to make a claim.

Ahh.. mine hasn't actually tracked yet but I'm expecting 15.95. If you search for Currys on Quidco it says '5% cashback on all washing machines.. over £300'. The code I got given was 'DCGW27018FSLKARFAIL£30' but I think it was specific to my order, feel free to try it though

WASHING10 no longer a valid code :(

Which give dimensions of 85x60x63

Just bought one of these from Currys for same price(11 Nov). The Drum banging all over the place not matter what load placed inside. Replacement unit on its way.

The machine was on a level porcelain tiled floor which was also laid with a spirit level. Comment from the lovely delivery people was as follows on delivery of non working second machine " We have more problems with samsung than any others, I wouldn't have anything other than hotpoint myself"

Ring Samsung customer service and register it with them, it wasn't made clear to me and I nearly missed out. had this model about 18 months, not missed a beat so far.....

Thank you almost forgot

For anyone that bought this, don't forget to register with Samsung to get the full 5 year warranty, otherwise you only get 2 years. Just remembered to do mine. (angel)

What wash cycle are people using most? A standard cotton wash is 3hr 20 :o :o :o My last machine was 1hr 37.

Mine arrived yesterday and so far really pleased. Cheers op - we nearly went with a Bosch to match our tumble dryer but would have set us back £200+ more for that. Though the wife has commented that 'they are slightly different whites' :|

Yes they do call after your order to sell their own warranty care pack as an extra which is slightly different than manufacturer warranty having accidental damage etc included whereas manufacturer only cover you for manufacturing faults. Got mine delivered today up and running now all good.

"Sorry, this product is no longer available" Have to wait till it's back at the same price :)

Shame it's unavailable. Cheaper ive ever seen this

Let me put one in the masket. I have either the same or a similar model - very long cycles but the clothes come out drier than my old machine

Shows in stock for me, delivery available on Sunday.
