U-can magnetic radiator heat saver was £14 now £3.50 instore Edinburgh B&Q (possibly Nationwide)
LocalLocalFound 10th AugFound 10th Aug
Energy saving by reflecting heat back into the room Cuts down heat loss to up to 50%, helping enhance living comfort. Accelerates temperature rise in the room thereby reducing ener… Read more

You almost sound like you know what you’re talking about but you’re missing the distinction between radiant and convected heat. Simply lining the wall behind a radiator with foil will serve only to reflect radiant heat, mostly back to the radiator and some into the room (radiant heat travels in straight lines so it’s unlikely you’d feel the benefit of this reflected heat unless your exposed skin was in its path, radiant heat does not heat air!) Foil is a very good conductor of heat so any warm air passing will still lose some of the heat, via conduction, to the foil and to the building fabric. The implication that it will cut a rooms heat loss by 50% is frankly absurd.

Your (sic) clearly a genius. Can I interest you in an over unity machine I've just designed? Yes, people "like me" who don't waste the earth's resources on useless tat like this are the main reason we have global warming.... If it's such an effective energy saver, why don't all new builds have this installed as standard behind every radiator? Is it some conspiracy by big oil?

Some benefit to this but not much .. ppl are wrapped in foil so they stay tender and juicy

Not true at all. Like I said it’s SIMPLE physics. The foil bounces the heat back & forth creating a heat pocket behind the rad. Hot air rises...we know this from primary school... so the heat will be FORCED to rise above the pocket / radiator into the room. Don’t believe me test it. Get a small piece of foil and stick it there with a bit of tape ul hear it flapping like a fan. As for new radiators being convectors. Your wrong on 2 points: 1- they are simply not convectors. 2 - even if they were. They are mainly on new builds. They have plaster board cavity walls. So unless you want to warm the cavity you better line it. If your still not getting it, Just think....Why do we use foil to reflect heat? when there is an emergency at the road side people are wrapped in foil blankets.... why? When you smash open a microwave guess what lots of foil. Because it reflects heat and does not absorb it like a brick wall. People like you is the reason we have a global warming problem. Next you’ll say a Tesla uses more oil

I'd love to know where they get the savings figures from...

Be aware that the ear pads fall off easily. Seems to be a common fault. I got one from Robert Dyas and returned it the next day because one fell off. I guess you could superglue it back on but i exchanged for another brand instead

Bought one after the Father's Day clearouts - worth it for this price - the mounts etc alone cost this and can be used with other cameras. It isn't as good as my SJCAM one but way better than you would expect for £8.

I have one of these ,thought i'd give it a try. Its not had for the money works quite well and image quality is fairly good.

Thanks Ushnok. The T&C's wasn't clear about dine-in or collection. Would be super hot of it was dine-in

It doesn't explicitly say anything about it. The description on it is on though mentions "buyers enjoying the pizzas at home" so I sadly don't reckon it's also available as a dine in option. Sorry if you were planning to dine in mate.

Can you sit in or is this a takeaway offer?

Thanks picked some up yesterday from corstorphine. Still one pack left. Right now there is no cheaper deal. Glad it's been voted cold else they'd have sold out! This is £7 more than buying two used greasy controllers from cex (including postage) hot Imo!

I posted the deal in Currys before I attempted to buy it and then marked it expired myself when I was told it was out of date. I found them reduced in the Tesco next door 15 min later. Not sure what I could have done better there, but since Game are selling the PS3 move controllers pre-owned for £22 I thought people might be keen regardless.

erm ok lol

And it expired so they posted the next best priced one.

Not that im gonna argue or that im bothered. But he posted the other deal 17 minutes before this one oO

Last year it was the whole menu from 1971 at 1971 prices for most of the day, one main one desert per person. Its disappointing for it to be a single hour for one item of the menu given the size of the queues it's unlikely you'd get in.

Right, that's where I'd be going so I think you've made my decision for me! Thanks :)

@AdamMelvin96 Yes I passed by when they did this, I would say 5 years ago. I decided not to bother as the queue was out of the door and down the street. This was Manchester.

I'm sure they've done a similar thing before, has anyone been? If so was it as busy as I'm imagining it will be?

It was Glasgow i was looking for :-/ Tried to find on website but couldn't. If its on Manchester too then pretty safe to assume also Glasgow. Thanks

unhelpful? At least to those who live close enough to Gatwick to take advantage. It's only £800 from Glasgow the dates you have selected anyway.

Or you can book a local flight from scotland to Gatwick (return) and stay at premier inn (Gatwick airport). For outbound (last flight the night before) and first flight next day after arrival can work out cheaper than flying from Scotland direct. Am considering to try Norwegian airline from gtw this year.

Or, I could could just leave it right here to be... oh, whats the word.... ????

Great. Go post that as a seperate deal for those on here who live close enough to Gatwick to realistically take that option...
