I think it's expired now

Voted HOT as I felt COLD

Stove fans are for real wood / multifuel burners. The heat from these electric ones comes from a fan heater at the bottom. No need for an additional stove fan.

any one know the length of the power lead, and if iy is detachable or is it a sealed none removable lead, they never put any details on their products

these look nice but why is there such a thing as a stove fan ? ive recently seen these for sale, the reason for the stove fan is to push the heat from the these stove heaters around a room another added cost perhaps ?

Mid size cast iron effect electric stove with "Optiflame" log effect., 2 heat settings and remote control. Gets good reviews across the net. £177 Delivered (prime).

Agreed, if it was optimyst id be all over the deal. amazingly realistic flame and smoke/mist effect. I did buy a cheap electric fire 3 years ago from B & Q and it looked ok, but was very noisy and heat wasnt great. Was going to go back to gas, but changed mind as only need it for occasional background heating and to fill a void in the fireplace. Probably go for a dimplex optimyst, gazco or similar electric fire. Issue with Gas fires is cost, decent ones are about £1200-2000 and the fact that you need to put a hole in a wall, which to me defeats the purpose, and our last gas fire let cold air in when it wasnt on - think it was a bad install despite the huge cost the previous owners spent - £000s

I was exited for a little while when I saw this until I realised it was not the optimyst version, like others have said, worth £99 max

How can a heater go cold? When it's overpriced 🤪

I don’t think it’s a convection heater. Fan heater on the bottom of it? Certainly was the case for the one I had - it’s a novelty item when you consider how much a normal fan heater costs. Agree that it’s not worth more than £100 - B&Q used to do their own version for £90

Paid £89 for one of these years back, i think thats a bit pricey, red bulb goes too

Decent price for an electric stove heater - also qualifies for free delivery as far as I can tell. Good for heating up a decent size room. Works like a fan heater.

Good first deal @salc!

Thanks, got it for £50 after signing up to the B& Q club.

Anyone had one of these, one similar to this broke the flame effect after a day, want to get it for my mum.

Cheap and nicer to look at than most electric heaters.

This is not necessarily true. There are many things to consider. If you have a modern central heating system and well insulated house, heating a single room with an electric heater may not be that good. You'll lose heat to other rooms, and whilst your central heating system is only around 85% efficient as opposed to practically 100% efficiency in most electric heating, electricity can be 4 times the cost of gas per unit....

I have a gas fire fitted in my living room so If I need to warm just one room I use that, however mostly I use the central heating that is controllable in each room and it works out very economical even compared to using the gas fire to heat one room, Like I say, no way would I recommend electricity for heating.

Cheaper than heating the entire house to warm a single room.

I have always found electricity to be expensive for heating, nearly 2 kilowatts will soon add up if used for a few hours per day

Are these any good? Are they reasonable to run? Needing something for the kitchen, it's a big room and it get cold in there in winter even with heating on.
