Did the same a couple years back when it was reduced at wilkinsons. Its not fit for use.

May not glide but cuts very well compared to a previous Flymo that we had which cost over £100

Bear in mind this dosent glide. I bought one last winter and didn't get to use it till this summer its a pain to turn literally round on the 2 front wheels it dosent Hoover as one would expect

I think it might be time to release the geese... Good luck finding one of these!

Humble brag of the week

I have something similar. Big, wet leaves block it up in no time and it's a big awkward lump to drag around; lead is a nuisance too, as some have said. It's absolutely hopeless in 'blow' mode too. I've gone for a battery leaf blower which is great (WORX one on a recent offer). Picking the leaves up isn't such a big job once they're all in a pile in a place of your choosing.

I’ve got the Bosch equivalent of this but with a big garden the cord drives me CRAZY! Can anyone recommend a cordless one of these? 10M is pathetic when it’s over 40 from one end of the garden to the other!!

Not voting on this one , but will say that before Tesco direct closed they were selling these for £27.50 and as my lawnmower had given up the ghost I ordered this and a more expensive flymo. This one went straight back , it is the flimsiest thing I have ever seen , very bendy plastic for the main parts, which I know wouldn’t have lasted a single cut of my lawn. Also you had to put it all together yourself , I’ve never seen a lawnmower come in so many pieces . It might do if you have literally a postage stamp of grass , but otherwise I wouldn’t bother . I know some people don’t like flymo , but I do , just this particular machine was sadly lacking in build quality

Love this and was about to buy but no delivery to Northern Ireland! Frustrating!

It's almost cheap enough to be worth a punt. Even if it only performs well for a couple of years it's a good buy. At least Amazon should take the return ok if it's no good.

Hover flymo are dreadfully hard work. Ok for a postage stamp but anything bigger get one with wheels

Thanks Op I’ve been waiting for a decent offer. Reviews on Amazon seem quite positive, so for £25 I will give it a try. If it cuts as well as people are saying AND it feels well balanced and comfortable to use, it will be a keeper! Thanks again.

Ok thanks. I should really try it. Was thinking of taking back after I purchased it (as I didn’t really want two hedge strummers) but maybe the better cutting quality will be worth keeping it after all. Bought it as it has a longer reach & decent reviews.

It went through my hedge like a knife though butter. Was well impressed with it. So much so that I got a bit giddy and took too much off so haven’t needed to use it again since may.

Yes, just purchased the Titan one. Not used yet. Is it any good? Have used a smaller one (can’t remember make/model offhand..cheapish Argos one I think) and was ok but not great.

Last Amazon Prime Day (18/07/2018) this was £424. Hot. Edit: Oh bother. Even with the discount code it's now checking-out at £430.

Had mine for a couple of years when Amazon had a lightning deal (£365) not been anywhere near that price since. Great one for setup and leave except the occasional restart when it gets stuck somewhere.

Picked up the last one in my local B&M (next to the Gyle shopping centre, Edinburgh) and it scanned for £40! Good spot OP. I was going to get it at £50 anyway

This is a GREAT wee mower! Tried and tested. Actually my second Flymo in 8 years. XCsn take some battering lol 😁 Highly recommend and at that price too, its a steal! 😗 (my personal opinion)

I disagree with some of the negative comments... I’ve had these for around two years and both work absolutely fine. My lawn is around 72ft sq. I’m sure I could pay more for something better (a sit on mower has always appealed 8) ) but I got a similar deal to what has been posted and have no complaints. Have some heat my friend!

had a rotary one for over 10 years and still going strong.not sure which model it is mind.probably the more expensive the longer they last??

Absolute tat. Such poor quality I returned mine for a refund. The hover ones are better, dont waste your money on this

The mini-trim is the size of a toy. But the lawnmower is ok.

I had the flymo chevron or whatever it was called. Went dead after 14 months. We had a qualcast cobra before that and that lasted 12+. I don't think I'd buy again...

Cheapish, but will they last? Not been impressed with Flymo, though they fly into the council waste skip relatively well, so should be commended for their aerodynamics. It's their cutting and reliability that are (poo)
