sorry only just got back in. 28 second heating oil is basically kerosene ( look on boilerjuice for delivered prices). The main thing with this type of heater is to make sure the fuel going in the tank is CLEAN and no water in it. You will notice that the heat output drops slightly the lower the fuel level gets in the tank due to the air pump they use to lift the fuel and pump it through the nozzle. Some similar heaters use a Danfoss style pump which don't have this effect but do suffer from corrosion if the slightest water gets into the fuel. NEVER use bio diesel as this will rot the fuel pipes and damage Danfoss style pumps. The only slight adjust that may be required is a tweek to the air/fuel pressure to optimise the heat output (a screw on the rear of the air pump type is quick to adjust. Just run the heater in a low light area and set it to a light orange dome with a full tank of fuel and it should change to a dark orange dome, without being fumey, at almost empty).

Ours is used in an open unit with extractors going all day, sensible use is obviously required

Thought this was a torch on a trailer, like something from Gotham City, disappointed.

Hope you've got a carbon monoxide monitor... and I wouldn't fancy being the poor souls working in a soup of diesel exhaust fumes - there is a good reason that cars have very strict emissions standards, even outdoors.

Please explain further are there any mods required, eg cleaning etc..

I can't think if they sold Sylvania fittings but I replaced an old fluorescent twin fitting in my garage last week and have found lampshoponline to be excellent a couple of times this Summer. I think the 6ft twin fitting I bought which was a basic batten without housing was £15 and works great with a couple of 6000k daylight tubes which were about £10 a pop, much cheaper than anywhere else I can find on the net.

Great find, good make, ordered.

Yes, like this one.

If these sell out, I can recommend the LAP ones in Screwfix. I've just fitted one in my kitchen and its fantastic. They are not on offer though so buy the ones posted as cheaper.

If it's not against the site rules then I wonder if I could add a pic to the post if you were by any chance able to share one (cheeky)

I need a good socket set, any suggestions? I thought this would be ok with a lifetime warranty .

Double hex sockets tend to round and damage bolts . Halford ratchets also fall apart/gear wears after a while .

Does the advanced range fit in the industrial tool box that I understand are now discontinued. Got the Halfords industrial unit when it was cheap and wondered if the trays just slot straight in?

£166.50 if you have a trade account.

My link previously refers to ones from last years deal. Click to zoom in on pic then you'll see the switch on the side. It goes upto 90 secs. You've picked the wrong ones by choice. The longer duration ones do exist from Lidl. Suggest to hold out until Lidl releases them again. Livarno Lux LED Night Light

I did buy one of each from the last Lidl deal and they both stay on for about 45 seconds.

Lidl do have battery & mains motion ones that can stay on for up to 60/90 secs. I have one from last deal. You'll just have to wait until the next deal comes back. As Winter is approaching very soon, I'm sure these will be back soon.

They had nicer looking ones in Lidl recently for £3.99. As for switching off after 20 seconds that is much too short. The Lidl ones switch off after 45 seconds but in reality a bit longer would be better, after all they are very low power led so having them on longer is only going to cost pennies at most.

we have the lindam one and pretty happy with having them in the hallway.. though i must say at £3.50 the one posted by mymymy above definitely looks nice..

Just don't believe the reviews on the website. I have written some two and three star reviews for some of their products and guess what. They don't publish them. Give it a 5 star review and it gets published. Be careful what you buy and ignore the reviews.

Certainly. £137.50 here But, FFX and others have it semi-regularly for the £130 mark. I ended up buying the green Easyimpact 12v because Wickes had it for about £48 at the time, but I've still got half an eye on upgrading to the blue/pro range.

Looks like a decent saving, too advanced for my needs that's not to say I wouldn't fancy a set. Voted hot for the deal though... Not sure why others are voting cold.

15% off ebay uk site code - PIGGYBANK

Da_Ta I bought this. It looks the same as the original post on here. I used the 15% ebay deal (now ended) It did come with a dent in the back which they offered me £25 off if I wanted to keep it. Cost me £46 in the end. So I'm well happy. Still good at £84 delivered though.

Quite a bit smaller. Still happy with it but will be getting one of the larger ones too. Small one for home larger one for work I think.

This looks good but too big for my need so a cheaper and smaller alternative is for small tools, nails and screws. Not voting because not sure on what usual price point is on these.

The post had just copied and pasted the description so people get an idea of what it is, I don't understand your problem, it's a deal on a deals website. For general DIY I think it's perfect, for the professional they'd be better getting better ones with a much higher price tag. It's all common sense really isn't it.

2 negatives... Your OP states that this is high quality, which it clearly isn't. It might be good value or worth the price but high quality it is not.

The affected cars are completely irrelevant, but to keep you happy; Golf, Civic and 520d - all were less responsive to throttle. This was over a period of years at different branches as I thought perhaps it was the maintenance of the tanks at one branch that were the problem, maybe bacteria build-up that wasn't resolved. My colleagues tell me to interchange supermarket fuel with premium brands every second tank, preference for Sainsbury's and next tank being Esso.

What were these vehicles you used this diesel 'on' and what were the performance results? Why did you go back two more times if it had such a negative effect? Did you inform Morrisons? What do you use now that's so much better? We need facts if we're going to listen to your nonsense.

You've no idea what you're talking about. All retailers treat fuel differently, whether it comes to how it is stored, what additives they use etc Ask your local trading standards offciers who test and inspect fuel - that's where I got my info from, straight across my desk. EDIT: I've seen your post claiming 30 years in the motoring trade - heaven help us all if this is the extent of your knowledge.

Think prices may have gone back up now? Just drove past it...

Fair enough, I only posted on the off chance it might help someone else, they cant all be bad afterall.

I think it very much depends on the branch staff. My local is terrible.

They have better service here in my opinion and this is a deal as it is cheaper than the usual price, therefore it meets the definition of a deal, but thanks for your input mate ;)

Yep. They cancelled mine too. Only just emailed me to tell me it's cancelled. Useless. Gone for the large galvanised ones @Corporates linked and used the PLAY20 code. Thanks bud.

Thanks for the link, i wanted the original ones in blue anyway, so maybe every silver cloud has a lining after all.Got these instead, using code PLAY20 discounted by 20% Ive already been refunded by vidaxl after opening dispute in paypal, kudos to vidaxl for that. I have saved £5 on my new shelving if they turn up. The one Vidaxl had are these at £25.95 minus 20% using play20 on ebay bout £20.70 each. If people are quick and use the code by tonight they can get two of these for £32 if they select GALVANIZED.or £16 each so almost the same price.Hope this helps others, also come with FREE BAY CONNECTORS.

that sucks, but here is a better deal...

Bad news, I contacted VIDAXL who say my order is cancelled, despite ordering on the day of the offer, they will have none in stock indefinetly, will be refunded in 3-5 days. So now they too have my details free, yet another viking direct type fiasco.

This deal was a one day deal on Friday the 13th of July...sorry to say but you have missed it. To find similar pricing for such items please check the comment thread as people have recommended similar items. Good luck?

Except its not law. Everything sold in the UK is sold as "offer for Sale". So no one has to honor a mis-price unless they do so out of goodwill.

You could always try the "you've broken the sales contract" tac?
