They're probably expecting them for a fiver

These are imperial measure not metric. So useless for most modern applications.

Harley_Mick same set I'd say 12pc 8-19mm £75 or £56 trade

As far as I know Apex tool group still makes Halfords advanced professional tools.

Looks like a decent saving, too advanced for my needs that's not to say I wouldn't fancy a set. Voted hot for the deal though... Not sure why others are voting cold.

15% off ebay uk site code - PIGGYBANK

Da_Ta I bought this. It looks the same as the original post on here. I used the 15% ebay deal (now ended) It did come with a dent in the back which they offered me £25 off if I wanted to keep it. Cost me £46 in the end. So I'm well happy. Still good at £84 delivered though.

Quite a bit smaller. Still happy with it but will be getting one of the larger ones too. Small one for home larger one for work I think.

This looks good but too big for my need so a cheaper and smaller alternative is for small tools, nails and screws. Not voting because not sure on what usual price point is on these.

£50 = 1 small snap on spanner lol. Great for keeping bits tidy for no money. If you were using it every day for commercial work you wouldn’t be spending £50 spuds lol. Heat added

repouk 2 h, 7 m ago 1"flimsy Chinese made piece of junk" I have a similar one of these "pieces of junk" bought from Texas DIY (remember them) in about 1982 and pleased to say all drawers still in working order.Cabinet a bit battered but OK.I certainly can't complain.Think i paid about £25 when I bought it.

The post had just copied and pasted the description so people get an idea of what it is, I don't understand your problem, it's a deal on a deals website. For general DIY I think it's perfect, for the professional they'd be better getting better ones with a much higher price tag. It's all common sense really isn't it.

2 negatives... Your OP states that this is high quality, which it clearly isn't. It might be good value or worth the price but high quality it is not.

The affected cars are completely irrelevant, but to keep you happy; Golf, Civic and 520d - all were less responsive to throttle. This was over a period of years at different branches as I thought perhaps it was the maintenance of the tanks at one branch that were the problem, maybe bacteria build-up that wasn't resolved. My colleagues tell me to interchange supermarket fuel with premium brands every second tank, preference for Sainsbury's and next tank being Esso.

What were these vehicles you used this diesel 'on' and what were the performance results? Why did you go back two more times if it had such a negative effect? Did you inform Morrisons? What do you use now that's so much better? We need facts if we're going to listen to your nonsense.

You've no idea what you're talking about. All retailers treat fuel differently, whether it comes to how it is stored, what additives they use etc Ask your local trading standards offciers who test and inspect fuel - that's where I got my info from, straight across my desk. EDIT: I've seen your post claiming 30 years in the motoring trade - heaven help us all if this is the extent of your knowledge.

Think prices may have gone back up now? Just drove past it...

Fair enough, I only posted on the off chance it might help someone else, they cant all be bad afterall.

I think it very much depends on the branch staff. My local is terrible.

They have better service here in my opinion and this is a deal as it is cheaper than the usual price, therefore it meets the definition of a deal, but thanks for your input mate ;)

Yep. They cancelled mine too. Only just emailed me to tell me it's cancelled. Useless. Gone for the large galvanised ones @Corporates linked and used the PLAY20 code. Thanks bud.

Thanks for the link, i wanted the original ones in blue anyway, so maybe every silver cloud has a lining after all.Got these instead, using code PLAY20 discounted by 20% Ive already been refunded by vidaxl after opening dispute in paypal, kudos to vidaxl for that. I have saved £5 on my new shelving if they turn up. The one Vidaxl had are these at £25.95 minus 20% using play20 on ebay bout £20.70 each. If people are quick and use the code by tonight they can get two of these for £32 if they select GALVANIZED.or £16 each so almost the same price.Hope this helps others, also come with FREE BAY CONNECTORS.

that sucks, but here is a better deal...

Bad news, I contacted VIDAXL who say my order is cancelled, despite ordering on the day of the offer, they will have none in stock indefinetly, will be refunded in 3-5 days. So now they too have my details free, yet another viking direct type fiasco.

This deal was a one day deal on Friday the 13th of July...sorry to say but you have missed it. To find similar pricing for such items please check the comment thread as people have recommended similar items. Good luck?

This information wasn't included in the original post. You still have to click to find out where the Business Show actually is. London's a big place. Note that even you've had to google 'Excel London', not just 'London'. 'London' alone is not enough information. The original post does not include enough information to avoid someone needed to click the link to find out where it's located.

You still have to click to find out where it's actually located. The location (as in the venue) should be included in the post. Just saying London is not enough information or you wouldn't have people asking where it's located...

Yes it is. London is the location. Excel is the venue (y)

The brexit school of economics i reckon 😄

Niz "The UK recycling rate for Waste from Households(WfH; including IBA metal) was 45.2% in 2016," "In 2016, 71.4% of UK packaging waste was either recycled or recovered compared to 64.7% in 2015. This exceeds the EU target to recycle or recover at least 60% of packaging waste. " checks out, although thats household waste only, where did you get 10%?

Where the hell you get those figures from? We recycle just about 10% of everything in this country.

Overall about 45% of recyclable rubbish is recycled in the UK, and about 57% of plastic bottles are recycled in the UK. Or were you asking about America?

They’re nicely balanced with the 5ah, I’ve found the 2.5ah lighter but more top heavy on the drill

Are these quite big/heavy to hold if using a lot?

Wow, quite a deal. I paid £148 for the bare tool and I've not seen it as cheap since. So with 2 x 5Ah batteries and a charger that's a great price. For DIY use you probably don't need 5Ah batteries - I use 2Ah batteries in mine and it's never run out on me.

Rudeboywba You need this then (highfive)

Having just taken my suspension apart on my Transporter I want one. However this is a bit pricey for DIY.

OP, please expire - the price has been £3X.XX for a while now.

A thin strip of wood along the back of the door, held down with three screws into the floor. Problem solved.

Unless you have a completely smooth garage floor forget this, i have a semi smooth concrete floor, followed instructions, wire brushed the floor, but its packaged rolled up and both sides curve away from the floor, even if you try and flex it the other way before you stick it down, when you stick the garage door side down the other side just lifts. I now have a stick black line along my garage floor and a big bit of rubber in the bin, at least i only wasted £15.

When I looked earlier today it was £33.42 so I ordered it from B&q. Just checked and it is £15.50 again.

does this come up on sale often?? Was going to order last night but forgot ;-(

Chamberlain Garage door openers - £35 cheaper at

In case anyone is wondering about compatibility - I replaced my ML850. The main box, rail/belt and header bracket all differed slightly needed swapping over for the newer version. It was not a straight swap, everything was slightly different, even down to the shorter length of the power lead (which has an EU plug on the version). About as not a straight swap as it could get. I was able to reuse my canopy arm, and the safety beam sensors. The old remotes aren't compatible (I've yet to test the old numeric keypad but suspect nothing wireless form the old system will work with the rolling codes of the new model) and the wired panel probably could be reused, but has been replaced with a wireless version. I might try reusing the old wired panel inside the garage and using the wireless one mounted inside the house.

If in any doubt about whether you'd stick with your purchase, you might be better ordering at the higher price from Amazon UK rather than worrying about international returns. Once installed I'm confident you'd find it a reliable piece of kit, they're a good brand - I'm not worried about having to return it later on under warranty.

It took me a few hours to fit. You need to fit a bracket above your garage door, either on the wall or to a solid part of the ceiling, so if you have a metal lintel over it then that takes some effort to mount to. You also need to suspend the main part of the door opener machinery from the ceiling a few metres away from the door. This is the Chamberlain distributor's webpage and they have guidance on door types. If you have a "canopy" door then you need a canopy adaptor which is another £80 or so. I have a canopy door, but already own the adaptor - but because these door types are a little harder to move fully open, I went for the "Premium" opener rather than the lower powered "Comfort" model. I used to have a ML850 (850 Newtons) which just about managed to pull my canopy door up enough - I wouldn't want to trust a lower-powered 700N "Comfort" to do the job. Even if it managed it, the motor probably wouldn't live as long. The Premium has a 7 year motor guarantee and is 1000N. The Chamberlain technical support is very very good and they may be able to assist any enquiry. It's not ultra-easy installation in all scenarios, but should be OK for a competent DIYer. Much depends on whether you have ceiling joists in the right place, or are happy to improvise a bit tog et things lining up.

How easy are these to DIY? Also, can they fit on every type of door or only specific types?

Excellent. I have a Chamberlain ML 850 that I fitted 12 years ago, used daily and still going strong.
