Free Air & Water supply @ Sainsbury's

For new drivers like myself, just found out Sainsbury's petrol stations don't charge for air & water supply! Usually I go to Morrison's where they charge 20p for air. Once I we… Read more

Everywhere is introducing charges. That's inflation for you!

DewaltFanBoy

this stuff is garbage. My car runs better on esso air.

floppydesk

The air isn't ethically sourced and the water isn't Evian. COLD FROM ME (popcorn) (y) :D :D

remix19

Dont use the one in Cheshire oaks. I set it to 32 and when I took the nozzle off it displayed 38... went home to check with the meter it was showing 37!!!! Not calibrated correctly or needs sorting out.

Popular snow foam, shampoo and sealant all on offer.
Monk28

Beads well too (y) 🏼

Monk28

Yep . Jet wash with water then 50/50 polar wash in the little white bottle. Hand mit all over . Jet wash to rinse , them one cap of polar seal ... microfibres dry only polar seal once a month. Works great. The only thing I got was an extension hose for the pressure washer which makes things easier. I’m sure a snow foam would be good but that little white bottle does me fine (y) 🏼.

ModernFamilyUK

Do you use the attached foam thing? The small one?

Monk28

Hi. I’ve got the same set up , works a treat

united4eva

As mentioned above, this is a good price. But do research and consider the Bilt Hamber Autofoam. Its brilliant. It also works really really well as a touchless wash... my car was filthy over the summer and I gave it a going over with BH Autofoam with snow foam lance the results were great and I didnt have time to follow up with a handwash but it was still very clean. Can also be used as effectively if not moreso, with a pump spray. Using with a pump spray it also lasts much longer! LordMetro

Had this in my Fiat 500L Multijet 1.3 CF5 (C2) grade with Castrol and surprisingly they removed the Fiat specification in March 2019 and my engine has been working considerably louder with this. Initially for the first 8 months it is like stock, but during the winter I have never heard this engine knock so loud. I immediately moved to liqui moly and it's running much smoother - oh and it's a fuel economy oil and I have noticed better mpg in town, a lot better. This oil is crap but that's just my opinion on a fiat (annoyed) Probably the reason why they removed the spec. P.S. it's always been £23 in Asda

Yip_Man

fair play, i dont think its a prime day deal i didnt put that on, those grades are actually £16

oscarcat

Decent price but not a great Prime Day deal, as it's the same price in Asda, and they offer different grades for different cars

Yip_Man

is it cheaper elsewhere or just not a good oil?

a friend bought these and they jammed before even using them due to poor casting on the upper section, the sealey ones for 23 quid are fine however

Movistar

Yep had these for many years and are solid. Also got some of these to protect the car underseal from scratching: Rubber Protection Pads

theserpent

I bought a set to change the oil on my focus ST a few weeks back. Solid as a rock and my drive is on a slight slope (combined with wheel chocks of course). Build quality is far superior to these Halford ones, hence the load rating I suppose

dannyjones106

I'm thinking of upgrading to ratchet ones as access is such a pita on my drive. Will check out the ones you mention. Have some silver line tools and am impressed with the quality.

I've been using this Asda 5/30 oil for several years - always been on offer at £15 whenever I've bought it. I'm needing more these days as my car seems to have developed quite a serious leak - probably not cost effective to repair given age of car - it just means forever topping up the oil!

They can work side by side. This is good to get good clumps of tar off. Put a bit on a microfiber and dab onto tar spot. Leave for a few minutes and then wipe away. If I'm doing a really bad car I tend to spray the whole vehicle with AutoSmart Tardis as it works out much cheaper than this.

Definitely agree and had 3 of these now. Smell goes a lil fast as I take the whole Freshener out the pack but smells great!

skhbilgrami

Couldn't agree more. Fyi it lasted well over couple of weeks for me but then again, I rarely drive with windows down.

Granite123

I will try that if I can find in my local, reason I said what I said in my 1st comment, is because they last for like a few days and the smell goes. the can ones usually are the better option for me, slightly more money but the fragrance lasts a long time (especially if you open the tin bit by bit :)

Is this stuff really.better than magnatec

Tom.Wilson

Probably not shipping oil by RM due to the cost with the size and weight; in my experience, couriers like DPD would be exponentially cheaper to ship such an item. Remember, just because the listing says they're sending by RM doesn't mean they are - when you're selling thousands of items on your account, it's not simple to get the shipping details right on each one.

The_Ramrod

To jump on the band wagon here, having lived in both the Mainland and Northern Ireland, unfortunately there are some naive people who neglect to realise that NI is part of the UK. Restrictions with Royal mail are UK wide as some Scottish special delivery packages are transported by air. I agree the seller has made it clear in their listing and it's there prerogative so probably best to confirm their intentions. But delivery is via Royal mail second class and as far I can see the only restriction is used engine oil which is environment waste. Petroleum is listed but that is wholly banned anywhere in the UK system so I doubt " engine oil" is covered by this. So I believe the seller has made an assumption which isnt accurate. I have had many arguments over the past 20 years trying to be charged extra on Royal mail deliveries. Parcel force can be specific but standard Royal mail services are UK wide. I have also received items from Ebay claiming Royal mail postage sent by a 5 day Hermes service!

Synesok

Nah don't be like that, he's right, it is your shortcoming in reading the discriptions, idk if there's some restrictions on posting to NI or if it's just the cost but it does say it.. Sucks, but ones gotta own those mistakes one makes.
