That's the same here, we try to save a little every month to have a family day out somewhere, now we usually get "day out gift" from family we can spend what we've saved on little treats when we're there cos there's always something the kids want at the gift stores! As someone else on here said, it's the memories being made too that will not be forgotten and when the kids look back they can remember the fun we had. :) .....enough, I'm getting teary now lol :p
I’m not a parent but I have 8 Brothers and Sisters I’m the only parent less one Xmas has always been a bloody nightmare the kids are all grown up now and have started Procreating I appreciate little gifts I’m not difficult but I don’t like celebrity perfumes lol Now we have a car I guess experience days would be more of an option now My Mum loves to go to see bands especially Motown Stuff definitely the best gifts.Making Memories is Priceless .
We're a family of 5 (since our eldest moved out) & can confirm that this is exactly the sort of thing we love. It's normally too expensive for us to manage fun days out, as the costs soon add up. Gifts like this give a fab shared experience for all the family.
Great place to look, xmas code on homepage too for 25% discount.. https://www.activitysuperstore.com/for-couples?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7LaP-tyT2AIVTbvtCh35xg5VEAAYASAAEgJ4VPD_BwE
That's a fab idea!... it's the gift of precious family memories that will last a lifetime. We was given a meerkat experience at a zoo a few years back and we all loved it & still talk about it together. I also like the idea of a family photo shoot voucher (there's always plenty on Groupon) I recently bought my sister (who is a huge curry fan but always orders them in or dines in restaurants) a short course on Indian cooking which she loved and now saves her hard earned cash by making her favourites at home.
