There is also one in Clydebank Shopping Centre (13-15 Carinthia Way) ! Both Glasgow stores are open 11am to 5pm on Sundays and 9am to 6pm Mon to Sat. I normally use the Rutherglen store, it' s about a 10 min drive from me. It's quite a good size store, even has furniture from time to time !

Thanks for the info!

Just for anyone who is waiting for this kit - I would highly recommend you get some filler and plasticard if you don't want to see gaps between wings and fuselage or if you want nice neat air intakes, which is one of the main features of this aircraft. I am building this, the victor and valiant after a break in model making and will probably call it a day for another 10 years then lol. Oh the victor kit was 7.99 reduced from about £18 in modelzone but I suspect all stock will be gone now.

A friend of mine tried for this and got this reply Thank you for entering the UHU/edding UK free sample offer as featured in Prima. Unfortunately to be eligible to enter you need to provide the contact details as outline on the reverse of the page. If you could provide these I would be most grateful. Any idea what they are refering to ?

Always handy to have if you have kids as you never know if they'll get glue ear at some point. I can tell you now after having suffered from it as a child that its not pleasant! OK 20 wont last forever, but ITS FREE and it'll last quite long enough for emergency purposes for example over a weekend until you can get to the doctors or to a pharmacy. Good find if they do send them out to you. I wont be requesting any myself as I'm not quite able to be a mommy yet :(

The glue does not work well with non porous surfaces, best for paper, card, cloth, leather, wood, etc. Most people use them for craft work, card making, etc. If you get to use yours, always use on dust free surfaces and make sure the gun has got to max temp before using. If often helps if surfaces are not very porous to apply a primer. This can be a thin layer of contact adhesive. Hope this helps :)

wellfan

Slightly off topic. What can you actually glue with these sticks? I bought a glue gun last time they were in Lidl's and have yet to use it. Cannot imagine they would give a very strong bond or am I talking rubbish? Had hoped to use it to mount a shower head to ceramic wall tiles.

Thanks, good price for these  voted hot

That_Bloke

Seems like a good deal, though I'm not sure it's any use to me. It only matters if you are in text only mode. Do you expect everyone to post to fit in with how YOU use the site? Wow, that's some arrogance going on there
