Yummy sounds delicious...... Said nobody ever.....

I fail to see a connection between Lego and Veganism but nice stretch (lol) Did you.stop to think that I bought a minifigures for my child rather than myself Where do these "well treated" animals that you speak of end up? The slaughterhouse, having their throat slit same as an animal raised in poorer conditions. They all end up the same place. So you never have or will never purchase meet from a supermarket or anywhere that you haven't seen the animals living conditions?

Sturdiness

Vegan gluten free - yuck!

IainS

It's going to take me a while to read through all the information that you have linked to, but interestingly one of the causes listed in the information provided is "overharvesting of wild flora and fauna (mainly for human food)"

SpaceChip

Given that you have been posting "Lego minifigure" deals, I would have thought you would be been fine with adults drinking "breast milk", as you keep stating. :D Personally I think the responsible thing to do is not to avoid and try to distroy the dairy and meat industy, but to use those products and only buy from known responsible sources. Leading to the bad producers needing to change their ways or go under. There are certainly better and worse animal farmers around, you cannot simply say that all are bad/evil (though I am happy to agree some are! and those that are should be locked up!). But I doubt you and many of the "anti's" posting on here have ever had anything to do with farming or the countryside.

Thanks for the heads-up, expired.

Pokora

Well, now online is 19.

merlinium

It's weird that some of the stores have it as £16 when it's £8 online, normally it's the other way round. Seeing as I have bought a couple of bottles, has anybody got any suggestions for cocktails, etc. I was originally thinking of something home-like as I thought it would taste of almonds but reading some of the comments I get the feeling my guess was wrong.

bounty_the_bargain_hunter

£16 in Derby Asda. It's so thin though. Normal Bailey's and their other flavours are nice and thick so lasts longer. Could pretty much down this like a juice... if I had time to have stomach pumped. Good for this price tho.

xenole

Thought it was fine although the first bottle I got in the US seemed better. £16 in my local Asda today.

@LeahsMintytoutou sorry Leah didn't know you had replied. All the trimmings packs (pastrami, lunch tongue, ham, beef) were 200g, now 180g but same price. Or 10% more expensive depending which way you look at it (annoyed) Must think we are stupid... Would like to buy the manager a pair of gloves with 3 fingers on each hand and see how s/he likes that.

LeahsMintytoutou

Haha a sausageophile XD it doesn't surprise me them cutting their pack sizes down. Seems like everywhere is doing it lately. I noticed yesterday mr Kipling cakes are now sold in 8packs instead of 9 n the price has gone up! #scandalous! What meat is it your talking about? (y)

Hacked

There's always one! Got 2 more packs of these today for my Mum as she's a sausageophile (y) But... noticed that Heron have cut their cooked meat packs from 200g to 180g but kept the price the same (mad)

LeahsMintytoutou

Nope. They are pork Sausages (shock)

Here is what happened to me. I took a screenshot of my order, which indicated "pack of 18". Yesterday, I received the package with only 1 bar. I emailed the seller via Amazon. This morning they offered £3 amazon voucher. Two emails and you get the bar for free, even just one. Can't complain too much~~Hope this helps~~

Fair play to Innox Trading - they've given me a £3 Amazon voucher, too. They also said I could keep the bar, too! I'll have that for me brekky tomorrow morning :D

Just tried one. I'd say it tastes similar to the Mint/Choc Options sachets I used to buy years ago, perfectly drinkable and good for a diet day (I do fast days) :) Though I find when I trigger the "sweet" part of my palate it makes me crave sweeties!!

louiselouise

Thanks Carl, I will add this to the original post to help other HUKDers on the lookout.

CarlSutton

Both of those are in my local Poundland. Didn't like Sugar Babies, but I've got a few boxes of the Tootsie Roll ones.

gavin1

I remember reading once its partially down to the way the chocolate is made. One of them uses as continuous method so they is a constant "flow" of chocolate out of the mixers, whereas the other makes it in batches of XXX kg at a time that then is used as the next batch made. I don't remember which way around it was (doh), Although given there are cost restrictions to be met, the choice of cacao bean source ( Cadburys used to be South American whereas Hersheys came from Africa) and the relative amount of sugar and other additives such as milk, fats and so on to hit whatever cost per bar the maker has will affect taste too. It was an interesting book, mainly about the Mars company, I just wish I knew who I loaned it to as it never came back to me :)

louiselouise

I saw a Tootsie Roll Hot Chocolate flavour as well (online, not in Poundland, unless anyone knows better!) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tootsie-Roll-Premium-Chocolate-Sachets/dp/B01M9GW4CS must be a product line of different varieties. Edit: Sugar Babies is another one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Babies-Premium-Caramel-Chocolate-Sachets/dp/B0751DQQQX

LOAD OF RUBBISH UNLESS suffer from coeliac disease. Gluten free foods contain more fat, salt and sugar than their gluten-containing equivalents, and are generally more than twice has expensive, a study has found. Researchers at the University of Hertfordshire said it was clear that gluten free (GF) products offer no nutritional advantage to regular foods and are not a healthier alternative, which may surprise many consumers. They also found that gluten free foods were 159% more expensive than their regular counterparts. After comparing more than 1,700 food products from Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Ocado, they found that, with the exception of crackers, gluten free foods contained more fat, salt and sugar and also had lower fibre and protein content than their equivalents. A GF diet is the only treatment option for those who suffer from coeliac disease but many more people in the UK and around the world avoid gluten foods as it is perceived to contribute towards a healthy lifestyle, leading to a huge increase in sales of GF foods in recent years. But despite this increased interest, there have been limited studies in the nutritional composition of gluten free foods compared with their gluten-containing equivalents, the study authors said. Researchers found the median total fat contents for GF brown and white bread were more than double those of regular products, while the median cost of GF brown and white bread and white and wholegrain flour was over four times the price of their equivalents. https://www.aol.co.uk/news/2018/01/18/gluten-free-foods-contain-more-fat-salt-and-sugar-than-regular/
