I love getting the notifications for comments on this thread, they're all fabulous :)

to be fair, we also only used to live around 30 years.... but otherwise! awesome.

Nakd bars were quite good when they started, the cashew flavour was the colour of a cashew nut for example and they tasted very distinct. Now all the flavours are nearly the same and they are all just the colour of dates.

If a product that doesn’t contain gluten is processed on a production line or in a factory where gluten containing ingredients are handled then it can’t be classed as gluten free.

Cocoa Coconut Cocoa Coconut is now also available as an 48 pack at Amazon for the same price. Afaik this is not available elsewhere for the same price per bar.

Lemon Drizzle is now also available as an 48 pack at Amazon for the same price. But it might also be available at your local Tesco for the same price per bar.

ThePizzaBoxChef

The blueberry ones taste a bit sweet but are enjoyable.

I have to revise that. Sainsbury's has Peanut Delight on offer: https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/nakd-peanut-delight-fruit---nut-bars-4-x-35g-7814892-p And Carrot Cake is part of the Fancy Mix (also on offer at Sainsburys): https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/nakd-fancy-mix-fruit-nut-bars-4x35g

michael-k

Carrot Cake and Peanut Delight aren't available at Tesco (or as an 18 pack at Amazon). So maybe order those at Amazon and buy the rest in smaller packs at Tesco. It totally depends on what amounts and flavours one wants. (nerd)

summer fruits are designed to fatten you up for winter that you will eat year round great idea.

Howlin_Wolf

Cancelled my Amazon order and just picked them up at my local Sainsbury's instead. Best before date July 2022.

It didn't know about Home Bargains and found nothing on their website. Afaik Banoffee Pie isn't available at Tesco/Sainsbury's. I've already added a link to the Tesco/Sainsbury's deal for the other flavours. Amazon is still cheaper with subscribe and save (if you need/want 18+ bars per flavour) unless you have some way to reduce the price at Tesco/Sainsbury's further (cashback, discounted gift cards, …)

BlueArmy85

A box of 4 (35g) bars is £1.50 in most Supermarkets. Currently at Tesco and Sainsburys. A little cheaper in Home Bargains. The deal works out as the same price if buying 4 for £1.50.

Yes, strong floor and active dry yeast (7g packets) which I got from Sainsbury's.

Jack43242

Did you use strong flour and active dry yeast?

AstalaVista

Good price for the new model. I have the older model 2501. I have tried a number of times to make brad but it did not come out good, even after following panasonic recipes. Not sure what I am doing wrong, in spite of using new bought products like yeast etc. Anyone has recommendations of recipes which come out well?

jamatoke

Thanks. It’s not taking it off but says it has applied it to basket 😪

My boxes of £7.50 bargains have arrived. Best before March and April 2022 so not being sold off cheap due to being close to out of date. Not done any taste testing yet, got plenty older bars to eat first. XD

Great price! Always have a few of these in the van, perfect for travelling/hiking etc

Nicgm7

I get these from Amazon and so far fine with expiration dates. Good for snacks on go especially for coeliacs. The taste ok - not as good as a diary milk obviously!

Questions4you

That would be the dates. Fruit sugar always bumps things up a lot

Hermitmaster5000

Seems to be a problem with a lot of food items at Amazon. They let anyone add a listing and don't seem to have any QA. Milk satchets for example, loads of neg reviews about them being off/short shelf life.
