Purchase with confidence from Currys PC World official eBay store. This only applies to the Sorta Sage colour. I checked and couldn't see the offer working for Just Black variant. … Read more

An update. I received two emails from Currys this evening. One of them was the receipt of the order and the other one said something about the replacement. I was confused as I haven’t received my original order, so a replacement was out of question. I had a chat with them to clarify it and I was told that the phone's stock has arrived recently I should receive the delivery information soon. I am attaching a copy of the chat.

No cancellation email for me yet. I will update if I get one.

Yep, just got my email too, cancelled, no stock

Mine has been cancelled... Well an email saying no stock, no date for getting any, and that I should confirm a refund is required or call a Team KnowHow number.

Is it just me that gets *completely* put off buying a phone after said manufacturer has offered pre order deals that make the subsequent price look rubbish? I’m not convinced those pre order offers are better than just having the phone a little cheaper from that outset, but maybe that’s just my flawed psychology.

*Purchases of the Pixel 4a 5G from the Google Store or Vodafone must be made between 5/11/2020 and 18/11/2020 to qualify. You can expect this or another sale to be on, that is in the Bose headphones offer FAQ.

How long does 6gb last on 5g?

No it's pretty much exactly the same: Pixel 2 is 5.74 x 2.74 x 0.31 inches (145.7 x 69.7 x 7.8 mm) Pixel 5 is 5.70 x 2.77 x 0.31 inches (144.7 x 70.4 x 8 mm) Remember i'm not talking about the Pixel 2 XL here! and yes the screen is a lot bigger but tbh I think I prefer the smaller screen and more bezels (unpopular opinion) as I can reach the whole screen with one hand and uses less battery to power a smaller screen! But they don't have options like that these days! haha btw everyone has their preferences so i'm not at all saying you are wrong with anything :)

The pixel 2 is bigger than the pixel 5 even though screen is 6.1 inch.

That's fair but for me I like small phones so there are barely any options! All phones seems to have gotten bigger and bigger!

Thanks alot, worked for me too

Doesn't appear for me, no offers or points.

Thanks, worked for me

If you have the right level of Google One subscription, you'll see the 3% arrive as Google Store credit after I believe a month or so.

Nice find. I got my pixel 5 on Thursday and looks like the bose headphones have been redeemed. But I can't see the 3% discount for ordering via my Google one account.

Yeah Gcam on other hardware can fix a potato but there’s more to the Pixel’s camera optimisations than a simple APK. Anyone who thinks they can get a Pixel by installing GCam is horribly misinformed.

Can't fing this app in the playstore what the full name of it. Thanks

OnePlus are rapidly going downhill unfortunately in terms of their own software, software and security updates, and general support. Their inspirational young co-founder leaving this week has done nothing to allay my fears about their future prospects. That said, the OnePlus 8t is getting very favourable reviews and looks a great device at an unbelievable price. Personally though, I'm going with Pixel 5 for my Android phone this year. I know I'll be getting three years of solid updates, even though the specs are bang average and will probably see this phone age quicker than their previous models.

Mute XD

Having used Gcam on various OnePlus and Xiaomi phones, it will take it from an average camera to a good one but it still won't be anywhere near as good as the pixel.

Samsung phones are supported for 3 years (y)

Yeah and give it 24 months and your Samsung is no longer supported. You’re not just paying for the phone when you buy a Pixel you are paying extra for the continued support that Google provide them. Also the fact they get the faster/better firmware updates.

This is nice but the OP Nord is £220 cheaper and has similar specs. No wireless charging but it has a bigger screen and Warp Charge. (obviously no Bose headphones either, so I suppose they'll offset the cost difference a little)

S10 will probably stay at android 11, pixel 5 is having 3 years of updates. For me that alone makes the pixel 5 worth it. The exynos 9820 is not really a huge improvement over the 765G so to me it's not worth getting a 1 1/2 year phone for it. Outside of the free pair which I will sell I wouldn't have bought it at this price, agree it needs to be £500 - £550 especially as it's being undercut by the 8t.

it the bullet today and ordered a green one from CPW.

I didn't really get anything apart form a few £££ on TCB going through eBay. Too be honest, I was going to shop around but decided to just get the order in to get the headphones, their sale will be worth more than anything else and when I was looking they were OOS most places, seems to have picked up in the past 24 hours, but if I cancel my order, it'll take them ages to get the money back to me, I'll just have to leave my order in. Cheers Rich

Currently using a Pixel 2 XL , End of life in Dec but the Pixel 5 doesn't really have the wow factor. Was thinking if I wait till Christmas would I have a better deal than this? If I am going to get a phone and use it till EOL I might as well get the pixel 5 > 4a

I doubt that they would. However the promotion with the 4a 5G starts later if you want that one?

Anyone know what warranty CPW give for the phone?
