it only works on their mobile app and you need to book same time when you create the user ID. If you create user ID on web and then go to mobile it treats you as existing user even though you have just created user ID and have not done any booking
I used to work in their head office
Hmm. Nothing in the two towns closest to me so searched the whole county. It found one nail treatments place that matched the search. Aye right! It was in Keighley, Yorkshire - a mere 145 miles away. Not impressed 🥴 (lol)

No. I’m clearly only talking about the current situation where loads of people won’t go and get their hair cut due to CV19 so it’s hard for them to make a living.
How do you think professionals got their license? From volunteers heads close to end of training also they aren't struggling they've been doing well since lockdown ended Do you also complain about the local Foodbank giving away Free Food because you're a struggling cornershop owner trying to sell food and they're taking away your business (lol)
Always had good experience with them (at least at the covent garden branch. Does take around 90 minutes or more though, be prepared to sit around.
Went there today in London Farringdon, trust me it is not upto par but OKAY if you do not care about your hair too much, as it is not perfect, not both sides of your head will look same, as you can tell in the mirror there are unevens, but if you can't afford a barber, then you can go but trust me you don't want to go there before an occasion. And yes it takes time, mine took 45 minutes but most I saw was there before me and I left before them, as my hair cut wasn't that difficult. All in all, you get what you don't pay for.
Jesus I said I WAS KIDDING! Learn take take a damn joke :p

Free Haircut @ London School of Barbering (Farringdon branch, LONDON ONLY) now FREEFREE£3
Anyone manage to get a haircut from this deal? How was it?
I've never liked visiting the barbers after watching Sweeney Todd as a kid lol!
You'd be lucky with an inch left on top. It gets shorter with every mistake. I'm not surprised it's "really buzzy" :)
had 10 or so in the farringdon branch - really good. great atmosphere in there as well, really buzzy and lively. didn't like it as much in liverpool st when i went there once. had 1 or 2 less-than-perfect cuts here and there, but you can't go far wrong as long as you're clear with what you want (your version of '3 on the back and sides, tapered, and an inch off the top'). they learn to a very specific step-by-step process, and there are supervisors hovering around who will do a quick tidy up if necessary. personally i've moved onto self-cutting and think that's me for life now (bet i'm not the only one). i've actually really enjoyed learning about it as a skill and improving each time - mainly through making mistakes!
I'd rather get my stuff from China. I've not met many Americans I'd want touching sharp things :D
Phew, that's quite a bit. I'll stick with the pudding basin and scissors! ;)
Can these clippers be zero gapped?
I totally understand the cold votes. It is not a great price, in normal times. At the moment, these things are as difficult to find as toilet roll was back in March. But it is from a reputable supplier and it is in stock. The Wahl site is a mess, with month long delivery tiimes and Ebay is full of fakes. I guess it depends on how much longer you can manage without a proper haircut, which is probably a minimum of 6 weeks away.

I can only vouch for Tondeo as I haven’t tried other professional brands. I bought these about 6 years ago and haven’t been to a barber since: https://www.tondeo.com/en/scissors/premium-line/1402/zentao-black They are very sharp and cut incredibly clean. I haven’t need to sharpen them yet, despite having thick hair that grows quickly.
Do you recommend any particular brand/scissors that are decent for cutting hair?
Back in stock but now £17.99

This needs to be stressed on. Tried it once for the giggles and never went back because the guy was playing wrestling with my head and the clippers.
I had the pleasure of booking online in the Manchester branch. They do state that it is first and foremost a practice cut for the student so it might take 60-90mins. My 0 blend haircut took 2 hours and getting the blend was painful as hell. However with it being free, I am not complaining, simply sharing my experience. I tried to go back, this time somewhat wiser and asking for a crew cut but I tried as a walk in and I was turned down one afternoon, been told to come back the next morning, which I did but was told they were full again. Since then I didn't bother, I hope others had a better experience with them.
