I've never liked visiting the barbers after watching Sweeney Todd as a kid lol!
You'd be lucky with an inch left on top. It gets shorter with every mistake. I'm not surprised it's "really buzzy" :)
had 10 or so in the farringdon branch - really good. great atmosphere in there as well, really buzzy and lively. didn't like it as much in liverpool st when i went there once. had 1 or 2 less-than-perfect cuts here and there, but you can't go far wrong as long as you're clear with what you want (your version of '3 on the back and sides, tapered, and an inch off the top'). they learn to a very specific step-by-step process, and there are supervisors hovering around who will do a quick tidy up if necessary. personally i've moved onto self-cutting and think that's me for life now (bet i'm not the only one). i've actually really enjoyed learning about it as a skill and improving each time - mainly through making mistakes!
However long it takes to get this pandemic over with. Not sure who will be proud (confused) I'll just be happy enough if I can avoid getting Covid and as it's primarily transmitted from other people, like it or not isolation is the only sure fire (well as sure as anyone can hope for) way of avoiding it...
