Absolutely stonking speakers, lovely warm sound, far closer to a vintage hi-fi sound than Bose manage. Got Alexa plugged into it, works a treat.

These are real quality. Visually and got great range. Had mine a couple of years and would definitely recommend. Only thing is took me a while to find the volume controls on one of the minis but the overall product design is beautiful hence the Guggenheim permanent showing.
Been this price for ages with discount. I got them in December for this exact price.

Yeah, there haven't been many reports of Vestel TVs catching fire because the engineering tolerances were too small.

I'm never sure with UMC TVs whether they're Vestel sourced or not. UMC do …I'm never sure with UMC TVs whether they're Vestel sourced or not. UMC do own factories including the ex-Sharp TV plant in Poland:http://products.umc-slovakia.sk/about-umc/Presumably if they were Vestel designs they were assembling, future models will be more international given that Sharp has acquired a majority stake in the company. And as Banana says, for this price Vestel can do as good a job as anyone.

When I initially set mine up the UMC logo appeared on the screen

Not missing the point, but I have an LG OLED that's a year older than this range and haven't seen a single problem.

I came to OLED from a Panasonic Viera plasma which I loved due to black levels but the OLED is way better. I used to get some image retention on the Plasma - like seeing a DOG or similar for a few minutes after changing channel, or stopping gaming - but have never seen anything on the OLED and viewing hours are longer now due to two growing kids using it more in the day time. I never saw screen burn on either my Plasma or my OLED, but I did see "demo" TVs with some screen burn. Not the case with OLED, never seen a fault in person.

No way will you find that from a decent brand at this price point. Which is what I have been saying again and again. You will not find good quality/decent around ears at anywhere near this price. Now, how hard is that to understand? And have you noticed how not one single person has responded to your post with any suggestions?Additionally I have said above that these JBL ones are quite tight on the head and have no padding on the head band. How does that translate to decent? They are serviceable and ok for short stretches of use. Any longer and they are quite uncomfortable on the head. Now, if you consider that to be decent, then clearly your standards for a decent headphone are way below mine.Anyway I give up. Try to help and you get people trying to bite your head off.

Just decent cans that reproduce music decently. Audiophile for me would be something like this. Bose do have decent build quality, but their sound signature is artificially biased to cause an instant "wow" effect. So usually an extended high and enhanced low end. Not what I would call decent as it is tampering with the actual music. But is suits a lot of people just like the Beats headphones do.I suspect by decent you mean something that transmits sound and doesnt break down in a few days? You would probably have to look at some of the Chinese products on Ebay or Amazon for an around ears at this price point. Or second hand perhaps? I cannot think of anything at this price point that would even be close to decent.

Bose was only mentioned cos it's easier to type on a phone than Sennies (and they are quality not "just" lifestyle, I've got some QCs from nearly 20 years ago, still solid and still sound as good as any others I've had)... AKG are £100, I'm not using them at work when they'll likely get destroyed in a month...

Not a great deal between them two, for my needs I prefer the brighter screen of the Samsung
I'm looking for an upgrade from my Hudl2, which keeps crashing, especially this app.
Good price, a better than decent mid range tablet. CPU performance isn't up there with the premium tablets but it's more than sufficient for everyday use. Very good VFM. Hot.

Pros
+high contrast
+good sRGB color coverage
+decent camera quality
+low power consumption
+good speakers
+decent battery life
+stays cool
+fast Wi-Fi transfer speeds
+fast microSD transfer speeds
+fingerprint reader
+small and slim

Cons
-plenty of preloaded software
-case creaks
-pressure sensitive case
-only 12 months warranty
-mediocre gaming performance
-long charging time

I have had the Soundsticks for over a year now, they are quite a nice sounding product with a good amount of Bass, they do lack on clarity and depth compared to a full sized speaker, I feel that the fact the drivers are so small makes them sound a little tinny, but for the price, and if you like the style. They would be quite hard to beat.
They gave me 2 discount code for 20% off but their website seems not accepting the codes.

I want to keep the number of hubs to a minimum and currently have SmartThing and Nest. Looking to buy Hue Hub but this seems to be a much better option.

Nope, smart home is just like the original Alexa, sees the hub over wifi, hub then talks to lights. You could get wifi bulbs instead which tend to be much cheaper, the site favourite Yeelights being a prime example. Then get Home Assistant set up and control absolutely everything from it, no more phone full of crappy apps, block them all from phoning home every second of the day and it's then easy to make the lot interact and you actually can then have a genuinely smart home.

I would be waiting until black Friday usually have great deals on both …I would be waiting until black Friday usually have great deals on both harmony and echo products..

Agreed. There were some good discounts last time. I picked up a Harmony Elite last Black Friday for £115, which is a decent drop from the RRP of £280 (Depending on how accurate that RRP is ). They also had a discount on refurb Dots, so I grabbed one of those to use with it. I'm still not convinced I'm using it to the full extent of its capability, but it's come in very handy after my dog chewed up the original LG remote control and left me with no way to control the TV other than the Harmony/Alexa controls.

A few months on, I got a standard Harmony Hub (No remote with this one) to control the TV upstairs on an Amazon Warehouse deal for £60, but I've had to use the Yonomi app to set up a different set of command controls, because Alexa defaults to thinking I'm trying to control the living room TV if I use the regular voice phrases. Customer support says they're working on getting multiple Harmony hub setups to recognise each other and learn which command is for each unit, but I'll believe it when I see it.

All in all, for the reduced price, I'm happy with it. I wouldn't pay the full price, at least not until they've improved it for tech amateurs like me

Trying to find it for the Vita, but it's either pretty costly or not about!

I can't find any for Vita either. And the PS4 version is selling out fast, this was one of the last I could find.

Hopefully they will produce another batch in the future, but it could be a while, being a niche sort of game.

I know it's a very fancy remote but it's still fundamentally just a remote. Don't get me wrong, Logitech remotes are nice. I have one of the low end harmony's I got for about £15 but I think their pricing for anything more than their most basic models is crazy and can't believe people and actually buy them and consider them good deals

Comparing the low end remotes to the higher end ones is like comparing a horse and cart to a car. Both get you to your destination, just one is faster and far more comfortable.

I don't have this one but a similar one and it changed so much. One button and my whole media system is set up, turned on and ready to go. Press another and everything switches to game mode and the stuff I don't need is off and the stuff I need is on... All from one button. Also, Alexa works from the hub now.

It saves so much time and hassle. It is so simple.

The lower end Harmony remotes are good value but the high end ones, though very expensive offer significant extra functionality due to their inclusion of the hub. It allows control from a tablet / phone anywhere in the house or indeed outside of it, and linkage to other home automation setups. The possibilities are pretty much endless, you can setup security schedules to turn on and off audio visual equipment giving the impression of an occupied house for instance. You can use it to as a gateway to control a/v equipment from Amazon Echos or Google Home. When I’ve finished watching/playing something on my projector, I don’t have to scrabble in the dark for a remote, I just say "Alexa, turn off PlayStation" and the lights come on low so I can get up and leave the room while macros turn off the PlayStation, amp, projector & sub and then the lights off a little later. That’s worth paying a bit more for in my opinion.

Mind you, i ageee it’ll almost certainly be much cheaper on Black Friday. If you can’t wait though...
Bought mine for £119.99 from amazon

giant spider died in my base unit and I wrecked it getting it out
Are these good??
Received this morning. Look like new out of the box.

TBH I'm disappointed with the sound in comparison to what they are replacing - an old T amp and a very old pair of Mission 730's. A bit tinny, lack of midrange weight and clarity, and the bass is somewhat woolly and one note from the subwoofer - whether on or under desk. Was hoping for better, but still a good price...

The good - more deskspace!

Will give them some time and see if anything improves with time and/or positioning.
It always amuses me when deals for this speaker setup comes up and gets knocked by those who haven't heard them. This is a cheap pair of speakers, even at full price, they are not expensive. These are the best cheap computer speakers I've heard and will only part with mine once they've broken.

If you can still get them, Acoustic Energy Aego M were on discounted prices.
I'll pop back with some other alternatives. I always found these soundsticks to sound a bit "wooly"

Just cancelled my order of just the hub as this is only a fiver more! Does anyone have any experience of pairing the hub with more than one Harmony remote? I still have my old Harmony Touch and will be using that with this, but could I also link the supplied remote too as a backup?
I bought the 'Harmony Ultimate Remote and Hub' for £64 from Amazon back in March. Great remote and only regret is not buying a second. Have Alexa controlling the Hub and Kodi (although Kodi is a bit hit and miss). The remote can go 3 or 4 days between charges. There is a known issue with Alexa, the Hub and Draytek routers which took an age to get resolved but all good now.

I rarely use Alexa to do stuff that requires the extra few words that add-on skills require. The physical Harmony remotes (teamed up with the activity based nature of Harmony) are so handy that I think I would prefer to use one of those in any event. There's no doubt that the Harmony hub offers fantastic options ... a choice of physical remotes, mobile apps or Alexa (presumably Google home at some stage too). Also great the way that it can handle bluetooth and IP control (so you can interact with the Hue hub for example) and the fact that you don't need to worry about keeping the remote in your hand pointed at the IR devices. If only they made a hub-compatible physical remote that mimicked the design of the old Harmony One (but with colour buttons added). That would be perfection.

I used to have the Harmony One which I liked, I only changed to the Touch as the screen on the One just suddenly went. The Touch was awful, no numeric keys and the number of times I accidently pressed "off" instead of rewind!

Unless it's changed we only get the basic Alexa Harmony skill in the UK which means "Alexa, tell Harmony to turn my TV on" instead of the full version they get in America which is "Alexa, turn my TV on". Yes you can use an intermediary app like Yonomi but this isn't fun setting up.I had a fantasy that everything could be controlled by voice commands but the reality was a big pain and much easier just using the remote.

I'm concerned this remote won't make the second half of trainspotting 2 any better at all. I've ordered it anyway, but not sure anything can save it
