20 tab tubes are £2.99 each or 2 for £5
Just picked up the 20 tab tubes and they scanned at £2.50 each. Ideal
Got them in some of the hull stores
Bought two electrolyte tablets tubes and got 98p off at LIDL Cardiff couple of days ago. (Limited offer MB)
Didn’t see any tubs at either of the stores- may be elsewhere though
@StephenEdwards they had a few others , some protein biscuits and I think the single gels/tablets think they were a pound each
Great price. Cheers Slack.
Did they have other high5 products?
Nice spot @daniel.slack thanks for posting and sharing your very first deal, keep them coming now you have started! worldcup
I’m always finding them packets in my bag or washing machine, i was casual shorts tee shirt on my drop handle the other week with a mate taking him up Holme moss one pocket iPhone / keys and a couple of these high5, it popped, made a right mess (mad)
So do I, I always put mine in my pocket, sticky but my problem.
There's absolutely no excuse not to do exactly that. The kit goes in the wash after every ride, so it doesn't matter if the pocket gets a bit sticky.
Bugger! Forgot to check them out. :(
Me too, not sure why cyclists can’t put them back in their pocket till they get home or to a bin ..
Out of interest, what average speeds are you getting on 2-3h bike rides only using fat metabolism?
dumbest and most uneducated comment ever
That's the main reason most people are unhealthy in modern times, I wish folk like you could think before you spoke. I intermittent fast every day, never had any headaches. Your lack of knowledge a common sense is becoming tedious, so I will bid you farewell. Edit: I've just realised you don't know what fasting is, and yet your making comments on it... CardboardCutout "That's some risky advice considering 'hitting the wall' or 'the bonk' is a horrible experience" I'm thinking maybe you didn't read the articular as it puts "via fat metabolism" before "via breakdown of glycogen into glucose, followed by glycolysis" But either way my point is you don't have to rely on glycogen stores. This is how Chris Froome manages his diet. As a side not, and nothing to do with anything here at carbohydrate central, cancer cells can only survive on glucose. Go glucose (highfive)
That's some risky advice considering 'hitting the wall' or 'the bonk' is a horrible experience https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitting_the_wall
You're right, I don't. But I know how ketosis works (highfive)
Oh I only buy the caffeinated ones as the none-caffeinated don’t seem to work as good or quick. Don’t like running with a hydration pack as it just extra weight and I’m slow enough as it is (lol)
Hydration pack.. I'l avoid because they're caffeinated. I'm ok with the normal ones (always have at least a few), but if I'm knackered, these just make me feel worse!
I agree for the most part, but these are easier to take on during a race
IKR! or just bake your own bar with peanut butter, raisins, milk and oats
Hard to carry a few cups of water and a bunch of bananas when running long distances (lol)
Not bad 19dec18 should be long gone before then may get another box lots of events this summer
They'll be short-dated, but it doesn't matter. I've ordered 2 for free delivery and the little packet of Haribo sweets
caffeine ones are £10.99 incl delivery on wiggles sister site CRC http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/high5-energy-gels-plus-caffeine-38g-x-20/rp-prod33363
buy something cheap for 80 pence to get free delivery http://www.wiggle.co.uk/cycle/components/?o=2
Fingers crossed you get it, the last 2 Christmas' I've ordered stuff from Lloyds and about 3 weeks later they have emailed me to tell me they don't have it.
Sun creams normally have a 6 or 12 month expiry once opened which will be written on the reverse of the bottle. Just don't open it till you due to use it and u should be fine.
Those going abroad to hot climate during our winter.
Next year holidays... I hope they stay in date till then lol
Great price. No idea why it's cold. Thank you OP.
My wife bought a box of these recently. Note that a third or so of the gels are a caffeine enriched shot. (Thats what the little green band at the bottom of the rightmost gel says). May not appeal to everyone.
Cheapest item I could find to push it over the £9 free delivery was this 99p puncture repair kit http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/weldtite-airtite-puncture-repair-kit/rp-prod7947
Energy gel meant to have a year expiration date on them. Spend over £9 for free deliver.
anyone ordered these and if so, what is the expiry date. these are very good and easier to take on, than the sickly sweet gels
Thank you ordered for the hubby. Out of stock at the moment but don't mind waiting at that price.
Don't forget British cycling discount card for another 10%.
Just reserved and thanks OP!
Thanks OP, reserved for pickup from my local branch
Cheers collected from Halfords and used cycling 10% discount too !
Just enexpired this as the deal is still active :)
Thanks for this, you've saved me a fortune! Also got a voucher code by signing up to their newsletter (WELCOME17355) which brought it down by another £1. Prices do vary for the different flavours.
Why do people have to be so combative? What works for one may not work for others accept that and move on, be happy... I have to say that I really like the "extreme" version of these tabs with the caffiene shot in them, I'm usually a bit dismissive about "sports nutrition" marketing hype, but having been recommended these by a cycling friend they noticeably increase my performance while out on a ride.
Your rides aren't that impressive? Am I missing something? From a regular 100 mile rider
I've heard it's what plants crave.
Awesome price, will be getting some of these before they go up again :) Great find!
My dentist said he sees a lot of endurance runners with rotten teeth thanks to these. Heat for price though, but I'd suggest you split with your team rather than tuck into these yourself.
Search 'a' and price ascending and there are items that are 1p to get free delivery. Also quidco/topcashback circa 3
I use this. Purely for the caffeine! Same price also but you get 2.2kg
Great stuff this and very good price.
Only stuff I can do big rides with as it doesn't kill my stomach and has a good balance of carb and protein
Lots of gels on there cheap as well! Example
Garble: these sachets are very useful at times for people with MCADD, MSUD, VLCADD, LCHAD and the like. As you're an expert I don't suppose I'll need to explain what those conditions are, or why these sachets are useful in ways not relevant to the vast majority of the population. I wouldn't want to patronise you, after all. Although, I should say that as I'm sure you also know, the unwritten Code of Expertise, which separates the Real Experts from the acting-experts, is that the Real Expert never feels he has to go out of his way to put other people down (no matter how frustrated he is at that person's not taking on board what he says) or insult them. I mean, Real Experts are intelligent, and truly intelligent people know there's never any need for, or point to, doing that - it's just a waste of energy, and truly intelligent people never waste their energy doing pointless things like that :)
I feel like I have to wade in... Having done many endurance activities, these are a god-send. Great find, if you dont like them, don't buy them. Don't forget that it's not just your body that needs these sugars, your brain cannot function without sugar, try riding the last ten miles of a hundred mile cycle, or the last two miles of a marathon without extra energy. Brain without sugar = mistakes, injury or death.
As I was posting that I knew I'd get a comment like that :|
Well if you are not holding the baby with both hands, then yes.
Anyone know if you can take these whilst breastfeeding?
It offered me the card as well but I just ignored it and it still took it off at check out. Worried I've somehow been signed up to a credit card now!
I was offered a £10 saving on the way to my basket if I applied for an Amazon credit card. Maybe the discount is available to those who already have the card.
Gave me £10 discount too. Any idea why??
I think you must have had a £10 promotional gift card thing on your account since you got £6.99 off and then £3.01 off the next order :p
10% off with British Cycling membership too
The gels are okay - kinda watery and go down easy. The power to mix in your drinks are gross to be honest.
Cold, cheaper to buy a pack of Haribo
regularly £7(or less) but worth every penny, hot!
ah sweet, cheers for clearing that...
It was free with a code .. via email
That's £14 with free delivery, is there something I'm missing
Heat from me too! These are great little packs!!
often available at this price but shouldn't go cold, great pack for £7! hot from me
Yes, hadn't noticed that. Not so good value then!
Wiggle is 2.2kg this is 1kg so even with BC it's still less per kilo at Wiggle.
