Couldn’t see any in my local Home Bargains though

jouster

Grabbed a couple more tubes today having confirmed I liked the flavours. Also grabbed a pack of gels (8for 3.50) which seemed good value too.

jouster

Got wife to grab some when she was passing. They’ve got tons left and gels too

jouster

Good to know. Thanks

marshall-stephens

Tried the Orange-Cherry the other day, tasted like baking soda so I had to add a little squash to mask the taste. Also, I only paid 79p at Home Bargains, so may want to check there too!

I have this exact bottle, perfect for running due to the handle. Not sure if it would be that amazing for anything else.

If, like me, you find these a little thick then try the aqua version. They used to be branded Isogel by High5 and have some fruit juice added to make them less viscous and easier to digest than the regular gels.

deviouspaul

Got these for the first time, usually go with SIS brand but have some friends who swear by these being a lot easier to take, not as thick and gloopy which is always a result. Running 26 miles Saturday so will see how they go

KL88

Got these and the energy bars to try yesterday for cycling, seem to both get good reviews.

It’s probably easier to gauge on the amount of time you’re out for rather than miles. If you’ve eaten before hand you shouldn’t need one for at least a hour, then every 30min there after. Unless you’re absolute nutter and smashing out the watts you might need more.

gadger

Ordered thanks.

Just collected mine. It wasn't worth the effort 4 people in front of me, 30 minute wait to get in When I finally get to the till, 10 minutes to get the item (*) I'm the only person in the store! Loads of people behind me but I think if 2 consecutive people need the same thing they stop the line I think much more people are using click and collect, but they've just got a big locker so unless you're lucky enough to be collecting something easily visible it's a pig to find, and it's only one person serving there I don't blame the staff, who are obviously under stress, this is just mismanagement. b.t.w This wasn't the weekend, it was Friday

How is this £6.09? It’s £8.18

I bought, March expiry, explained to Wiggle. They then sent me another, same expiry, then refunded... Ha.

toad679

Wiggle routinely clear out of date/short dated stock - You could have bought 8 tubes for £0.99 plus postage via their Tri sport resort outlet recently so £1.05 was a pretty poor price. A lot of this xtreme has been cleared recently as they have rebranded it Zero caffeine hit. Like for like for in date High5 stock this remains a good deal and way cheaper than the £26.51 from Dolphin fitness. Heat

Danny_Carter

It was a genuine question. Apologies if you thought it was some sort of bait.

benz1ne

I thought this was a decent deal. Heat from me.

whatyadoinsucka

Not a great price I paid £1.05 a pack only 2 weeks a go on wiggle (that’d be £8.40) for the equivalent so 16 packs at £16.80 for free delivery Note they were short dated best before feb/mar202, I notice the date info has been removed from the listing so may have a longer expiry

woldranger

Huh? I posted a link (I think you missed it) to a product and was asking about that, not the high 5 stuff - they're not suitable for my needs.

whatyadoinsucka

The tablets snap in half pretty well, these are to flavour water and the salts / magnesium stop cramps for me, you can buy high5 energy satchets or tubs which are on offer as well they are fructose but I try not to use them as they can give a laxative effect (embarrassed)

woldranger

Just out of interest, what do you guys think to this? For my uses, powder is preferable to tablets as I can add as little or as much as I need - I tend to take it with my when travelling and it comes in really handy when I'm hiking (or hungover). I've never tried this stuff but it looks ok. I just want a cheap isotonic powder, nothing flashy!

whatyadoinsucka

Cannot find those 8 packs for £17.90, damn eBay search algorithms , can see 3 packs for £18 but not 8 packs, I tend to buy in bulk and shame out at cost with bike mates and work mates who cycle, avoid the risk of expiry

Keep it up. Sounds like you're making great progress. I agree it's great for managing stress and clearing your mind. A 10k is a nice distance as it's just about long enough to make it a challenge without feeling like you're running forever. Do you have some unique 10k events near you? The box is a green box for the running pack btw. It wasn't with the red one in my HB store.

tek-monkey

I've had a word instore today, they'll put one aside if they get the running pack although I'm tempted to grab another of these just for the gels. The bottles will be handy for hiking. I've not run since PE at school and I'm in my early 40s now! I started on the couch to 5k app earlier this month, which while good at motivation I didn't get on with the stop/start. I started about 6 months ago so am at least semi-mobile, and thought the app was aimed a lot lower. The week after I just used the app as an encouragement tool and put 90s metal on my headphones, and did 3 5k runs. The week after that I did nothing, well I saw 4 gigs and went to the superbikes but it meant no running! Week 4 I did a 7k and a 5k, I'm at a gig again tonight but hoping to get another 7k in tomorrow before a wedding. I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would. It clears my mind, it makes me feel good, and most importantly it's stopped me drinking every day like I used to. Just 4 weeks in I feel healthier, my mate is trying to get me to do a 10k when we get back off holiday but I'm not sure yet. She's only a few weeks ahead of me but is already hitting 10 miles, whereas I'm running shorter distances but faster.

woster

The one you got is great. I bought it last year or so and it has plenty to start off with. I personally find I use the gels and the tablets the most for running. The water bottles are different too. (See images below). The triathlon comes with a large bottle Vs handy bottle for the running one. Honestly they're great boxes. Good on you for getting into running. It's really rewarding if you stick to it. The gels and tablets are great for any running events. Have you got any planned? Triathlon Pack Running Pack

tek-monkey

I didn't realise they had different ones? I'm new to running, only started a month ago. How different are the contents?
