Hitachi TVs at Argos
Where have they all gone as all the listing on their website have disappeared? Asking as I need to return mine again (3rd time lucky). I do see they are all still on their eBay s… Read more

Ours still isn’t listed with a sky remote code after nearly two years....Sky blame Hitachi, Hitachi blame Sky. Will be the last we buy from this manufacturer

Yes. The pink blob. That brings back memories.

Hitachi stopped making TV's about 10 years ago and sold the name.

Where were all these comments prior to my purchase? I did notice straight after my purchase they no longer had the same model in stock. It does the job and I needed one in a hurray as my stupid expensive Samsung was glitching. I decided not to buy an expensive model again, the interface on the cheaper sets is noticeably slower... The only headache I have with my Hitachi is it's inability to turn on/off consistently - turning off the WOL seemed to cure the power on problem, but there is still a delay in the turn off - so much so that I end up turning it back on again straight after I turn it off!

The best one was ISIS from Tesco ...not the best acronym

Can someone with some TV knowledge help a girl out ? I ordered from Argos Hitachi 50HK25T74U Smart 4K LED HDR TV Argos delivered Hitachi 50HK6100U Smart 4K LED Ultra HD TV Th… Read more

This was the same price and a far better TV

The exact same thing happened to me, I am currently on the phone with them trying to understand what is going on. What tv did you order in the end?

Thanks guys! To prevent it happening again I’ve spent another hour on live chat to Argos and they cannot guarantee it won’t happen again! So I’ve gone for a completely different model with better reviews and 5in bigger for the same price. Size matters apparently 🙈 (lol)

"What I need to know is a Smart 4K LED Ultra HDTV better than a Smart 4K LED HDR ?" Those descriptions don't mean much. If I had to guess the first one is an older model as it doesn't mention being compatible with HDR picture data. That doesn't say anything about the relative quality of the two TVs though. The one you ordered is just a generic budget TV so I wouldn't worry about it.

Hitachi 58" in Argos best value tv around!
£299 can anyone find a better tv this size at this price? (y) (y) (y) (y)

VV Vestrel?

Likely worse, but don't want to mention the V word.

But it's still a 'Hitachi' at the end of the day..

More about picture quality, software and motion blur though really, id rather pay an extra £50 and take a 49 inch lg panel with webos

No need to get upset mate. ;)

Such a juvenile response but as expected Maybe your mum should have told you it's common decency to post back any outcome to the people who spent their time trying to assist you.

Didn't know you'd been waiting on a reply all this time mate. I told your mum back at the time but she must have forgot to let you know. (y)

Exactly, unlike the op who took the advice but didn't bother posting the outcome ;)

Yeah seriously. As I said this happened to me and whilst looking for a solution this thread was in the top search results. So I thought I'd post the solution to help others who may also stumble upon it.
