Anyone else get told they needed to change their password because of suspected hacked account before ordering? I rang the service line and they told me nothing of the sort had occurred. Put me off a bit. I know it's Tesco, but I wondered if it was a mock up site.

Sold out now

Have the blue one for my 7yr old nephew and he loves it. This'll be a perfect backup. Thanks

Worth noting the 24 month warranty too!!

Not your fault OP, and it's a good price if you want one. But had one and took it back. Utterly unusable for fighting games. Was gutted.

Common faults I've seen for this are sync issues and the D-pad being stiff and not registering diagonals as Rosebeaver mentions. I came across one vid and amazon review that mentioned opening it up and re-seating the d-pad improved it a lot. Seems like a bit of a gamble, as some people don't have these problems. Shame as it looks really nice.

These controllers are awful. You can't go diagonal on the d-pad. Ridiculous design flaw.

Why is it not compatible with the Switch ?

Have these been updated since the original release? It’s a good price, so well done op, but a horrible product that’s really not for fighting games. Shame really

what a ripoff I bought 2 similar controllers for £2.99 off ebay, including postage

I have 2 of these and they are great. Supposedly there was a batch where the dpad wasn’t fitted correctly but there is an easy fix for it on YouTube. Mine where fine.

No as it’s not a USB dongle.

Good question.... Interested to know too

Anybody know if the dongle will go in a Pi and allow the controller to be used with RetroPie?

Hori Nintendo Switch Playstand @ Base/Amazon (Base has free delivery) - £8.99
Found 5th AprFound 5th Apr
Amazon link here . Same price as Argos now. Don’t know how long it’s been at this price for, but I’ve only just seen this. Licensed by Nintendo (obviously).

The stand is fairly weak, and if you want your switch to be a bit higher then this is what you need

I've just ordered a switch (serious question) why would anyone need a stand when the switch comes with a kick stand built on for table top mode?

None of you get what's happening. It's the type of USB C cable that can brick your Switch. So in theory you can use what ever stand you want, if the cable you are using isn't complaint to the Switch USB C requirement it will most likely brick it. It's rediculous.

THis is a joke right. This is a piece of plastic. There's no connection to the switch whatsoever. You need some sort of mad witch craft for this to brick anything. In fact you've more chance an actual brick bricking your switch than this.

There’s a metal one by PowerA which is super Mario which might interest you :) I have a kind of opposite situation. I’ve never had anything Hori before but I found this good enough (albeit, a little confusing)

Any of these stands work for the 2ds xl?

I bought this exact model last week from Amazon, it does the job for which I wanted it really well Very well made product, in my opinion

There are so many things i love about the switch, but some design flaws just let it down. The lack of ability to charge when using the kickstand for example. The kickstand in general is a bit of a joke anyway. Not good when on a slightly bumpy train. Also had to check what year it was the other day when i found out the switch doesnt have a browser. Dont get me started on lack of blu tooth for headphones and other apps (netflix etc). Other than this i love my switch. Heat added.

Good stand, simple but does the trick

Use mine mostly when I have the Switch next to my computer to help kill time during queues or to force myself to take breaks more, it's a really good little stand. Also great while on Holiday, just put the stand on a coaster and could move it round to play in bed. Stand folds pretty flat and has three height options so you should be able to adjust to what you need at the time.

You forgot to mention no rumble either. A full description: “Notably, it only works in handheld mode, meaning you can’t slap this and the right Joy-Con into the Joy-Con Grip and play off the TV, nor does it work for local multiplayer. The standard left Joy-Con, with four buttons serving as a D-pad Even playing with it in handheld mode loses more features on the left side: No HD rumble and no gyroscope. And there’s no SL or SR button use, or the Sync or Player LED light, but as these are on the side of the Joy-Con that is docked to the Switch, you wouldn’t use them anyway”

Yeah the exchange rate comes to about £17-£18

of what? This item is not manufactured by Nintendo.

Thanks OP. I'm not gonna buy just yet, but this'll Jake upcoming street fighter 30th anniversary collection more playable

Mostly fighting games.

Can these be used for any games or just certain games?

I'm not sure if the Madcatz is a good option. Because of driver support. Where as the Hori is plug and play.

It's a good stick but surely for the price the madcatz fightstick tes+ from go2games for £79.99 is a better deal due to it having full sanwa parts? Regardless have some heat

You have to mod the stick to have Sanwa buttons. The standard buttons are ok. But I'm finding the Sanwa to be less spongy. And more responsive. I did some work on the stick also. Changed the gate on the joystick to this KOWAL Hayabusa Octopus Octagonal Restrictor Gate. As well as the spring 2lb Tension Spring For Sanwa JLF Series Joysticks and KOWAL™ 1mm Nylon Oversize Actuator for Sanwa JLF Series Joysticks. The stick just feels not as sloppy now. And returns to the centre more precisely. And it's easier to ride the gate when trying to pull off special moves. Just to add... This is a good stick. But like anything it can be made that little bit better with modding.

HORI Wired MINI Gamepad Controller PS4 - Black, Blue and Red £17.85 @ Base
Found 29th JanFound 29th Jan
Official wired gamepad for the PS4. Wire is 3m long. Black, Blue and Red available. TCB - 2.1%

Think wife will love one she complaining the standard is too big for her hands

It is a good idea but I fear the execution will feel tacky and ruin the experience, the DS4 is an incredible feeling controller and very well built. 3rd parties just look and feel tacky scratchy plastic.

Is This not something that would be up your alley then ?

Might look into that didn't even think. Gimme a Xbox layout any day (excited)

I bought some analogue stick grips that I like, but I don't feel they were essential. The PS4 pad v2 build quality is very good.

They do add a lot of grip to the little joycon thumb sticks and also look fab too. Would recommend.

Heat added but think they’re overpriced for what they are

These were £5.99 in my local Sainsbury's just before Christmas. Got them out the box, looked at them and decided they were too expensive at £5.99.

I agree! Don't like the Toad one much myself and have not used it. If a peach grip / controller theme is what you want, then you need to look at this thread: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/4-x-switch-joy-con-thumb-grips-239-delivered-ebay-mg-direct-choice-of-bluewhiteredblackclear-2872151 They are a bit more pricey, but they are very good quality too. Interesting your DS4 ones fit well as that opens up new colour possibilities for joy cons. Could get a lime green once for a Yoshi theme for instance.

Really wanted to get me some of these but I was looking for the zelda ones to drop in price. Ive been using my old ones from the DS4 and they fit very well. Still these are very expensive thumb grips... Anyone knows if these fit the pro controller's as well? I'm imagining they don't...

Bought one before Xmas. Don’t like it at all. My thumbs keep hitting each other

Anyone know if they work with Steam like the DS4 does? Would be exactly what I'm looking for.

My 6yr old son use this controller. It's mainly for kids.

Bought one for my daughter so she could play Minecraft ; she hated it and I have to use it lol. Works fine, decent "little" controller

In case people are wondering what the point of this is, it also has some use on the Wii U as a pad for virtual arcade games that don't need analogue support. The main reason I bought one though is it is one of the preferred pads for Retropie on the Raspberry Pi.

I've got one from the previous deal on HUKD, and I think it's great. Wireless is great and auto fire is pretty nice for Megaman.
